Chapter 1040: Betting!

William appeared in the seating area with a dark-golden light engulfing him.

Elle was still standing in the battle arena, and the next moment, a white light covered Riddley.

Soon after, Riddley appeared in the arena. It was now time for the battle for the third rank for the Divine Transformation beasts.

The two opponents summoned their beasts.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the battle. The Sky Serpent made the first move as it decided to go full offensive right away.

The Sky Serpent and the Shadow King Wyrm were both strong beasts. The Sky Serpent had the characteristic of Immunity, but unfortunately, it was useless in the present scene.

The battle between the two went on for several hours, and it finally ended with a victor.

The Shadow King Wyrm lay on the ground, gasping for breath and trying to forget the wave of pain attacking it while the Sky Serpent exploded into light particles.

Elle was disappointed with the loss, but her opponent was better, so she accepted the defeat and decided to train the Sky Serpent in more efficient ways.

The next moment, a red light covered Elle, and soon after, he found herself back on the platform.

Aakesh waved his hands, and soon after, she returned to her seat. While in the arena, Riddley returned to the seating area with a silver light surrounding her.

The winners of the contests had another advantage in that they would see the battles of the higher-level beasts firsthand, not on the screen.

The projection above the arena suddenly changed, and soon after, the faces of Fidel and William appeared on it.

What was surprising was that beneath the faces of the participants, there was a strange number written. Beneath Williamʼs face, there was 1.19 written, while beneath Fidel was 3.73.

The other participants didnʼt have to think for long as the information about the unknown numbers appeared in their minds.

Fidelʼs eyes popped out in shock when he found the difference between the two numbers. These were the betting chances of the participants winning the battle.

From the way the numbers looked, it was clear that William was favored over him to win the battle, and it was by a large margin. It was as if it were a battle between a giant and a minnow.

Since it was Lilyʼs suggestion, Aakesh decided to give her a chance to explain it. After all, Lily was his pet. She needed to do things like this.

Lily jumped down from her chair. Her size was already equal to Aakeshʼs, so she looked at the crowd and told the people about the numbers on the screen.

”You have three minutes; place your bets,” Lily announced, and then she returned to her chair.

”Are you betting?” Lily asked Aakesh.

Aakesh smiled and refused since he had no interest in betting. Even if he won, he would be the payee, so what did it matter?

Lily scoffed and then placed her bets. Lily had accumulated a large amount of wealth in Panagea, so she didnʼt need to ask Aakesh for money to place bets.

She bet one hundred ordinary Sacred stones on William. The crowd also got busy, and they began to prepare their bets.

A piece of paper appeared in everyoneʼs hands. They needed to write down on the paper who they were betting on and how much. Betting on both participants was allowed, so many in the store tried to be conservative and bet on both parties in a way that no matter who lost, they wouldnʼt be at a loss.

Almost every beast owner had store cards, so the participants also made their bets while seated in the area.

Time flew by, and finally, a white light covered William and Fidel. The next moment, they appeared in the battle arena.

William didnʼt make any bets since he didnʼt like them. Fidel, on the other hand, made a large bet on William. Even if Fidel lost the contest, he would still make great money from the deal.

Fidel was a long-lived cultivator, so he had also heard about the Suleonʼs existence in the past. He had read about its terrible strength.

The next moment, the opponents summoned their beasts, and soon after, the Shadow Hunter and the Suleon appeared on their ownersʼ sides.

Growl! Roar!

The Shadow Hunter growled to intimidate its opponent while the Suleon roared toward the hunter.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the finals for the Divine Transformation beastʼs round.

Roar!

The Suleon roared and charged, activating the skill Solar Charge. Its strength got a boost of 50 percent as it slashed at the Shadow Hunter.

The Shadow Hunter used its quick agility and dodged the attack, but the Suleon was also quick on its feet, so it attacked again.

The Shadow Hunter roared and disappeared from the arena, activating Stealth.

The Suleon stayed calm, and the next moment, its eyes started glowing even brighter. The Suleon seemed to lose control of its shadow, and its silhouette appeared.

The Suleon activated the Solar Blaze, and the next moment, a blast of golden fire flew toward the hunter.

The Shadow Hunter knew the terrible attribute of the golden fire, so it used Shadow Step and appeared in a different place.

Roar!

The Shadow Hunter suddenly roared and its eyes turned darker than the night. The next moment, the space around it cracked open, and soon several creatures made of darkness stepped out.

Solar energy usually cut the Dark energy, but not this time, as the dark creatures looked real unlike other rounds of battles of other shadow creatures.

The Shadow Hunterʼs eyes were bleeding, and after the number of dark creature stepping out reached ten, it finally stopped.

It then activated, Stealth, and disappeared from the Suleonʼs view. Fidel looked at the Suleon, waiting for its next attack.

The Shadow Hunter had used its essence in the last attack to enhance the portal and the abilities of the beasts, and that was the only reason, there were ten dark creatures with clear silhouettes.

The Shadow Hunter needed to heal, so it left the battle to the dark creatures. All ten creatures were early Divine Transformations like it and the Suleon, so it wouldnʼt be forced to leave midway.
