The First Store System

Chapter 1002: Conversation!

A blue light covered the arena, freezing everything, and soon after, a screen popped out in front of Aakesh.

Aakesh tapped on the first option, going for the next round. The next moment, the blue light receded, and with it, the arena started to return to its undamaged condition. When the light had disappeared entirely, a battle arena several times larger and sturdier than the last one appeared in Aakeshʼs sight.

At the same time, the Nefarious also appeared several miles away from him. It had no expression on its face as it waited for the battle to begin.

Time flew by, and battles continued to happen.

There wasnʼt a single spot in Aakeshʼs body that wasnʼt injured. His eyes were cold as he activated the ultimate skill available to him in the one hundred and eighteenth round.

Aakesh channeled half of his remaining energy into the halberd, making it glow like a supernova. The gem embedded at the top seemed to be the brightest source of light at that moment. The next moment, the situation turned completely different as the light around the halberd disappeared as if the previous scene were nothing but an illusion.

Aakesh then swung his halberd from left to right, releasing the wave of the previous light. It flew toward the Nefarious, obliterating everything in its path.

The Nefarious also activated its ultimate skill, but all its attempts turned futile as the light wave crushed the Nefarious into nothingness, and when its work was done, it disappeared. Aakesh couldnʼt help but stumble as activating the skill took a heavy toll.

The next moment, a green light covered Aakesh, healing him, while a blue light covered the arena.

Time flew by, and minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

Whoosh!

The silence in the selection area suddenly broke as the space cracked and formed a portal. Not long after, Aakesh stepped out of it after losing the one hundred and nineteenth battle with the Nefarious.

Since there was still some time left before Lilyʼs training was over, Aakesh decided to enter another training environment and pass the remaining time there.

Time flew by; the silent selection area saw a sudden turbulence as the space cracked down, forming a portal to another place.

It was Lily who stepped out of it. After finding that Aakesh wasnʼt there, she asked the system for her and Aakeshʼs chairs.

The next moment, two chairs positioned in front of each other appeared in the area. Lily went to hers and sat on it, waiting for Aakesh to exit.

Lilyʼs wait didnʼt continue for long, as around a few minutes later, the selection area saw familiar movements, and soon after, Aakesh stepped out of the portal.

Aakeshʼs cold face turned into a smiling one when he saw Lily already there, waiting for him. He then went to his chair and comfortably sat on it.

”You seemed extra happy today,” Aakesh commented since he could see that Lilyʼs mood had been joyful since she had exited the Panagea.

No matter what, she would always give her an eye before entering the training, but today, she was smiling while entering, so things must have been extremely good for her to act like this.

Lilyʼs already smiling face saw an even more wide smile when she heard Aakesh. She then began to share her day in Panagea with Aakesh.

After leaving the store yesterday, Lily entered Panagea in the same spot she had left a few hours before.

Due to several circumstances in the past, her territory became independent, and she was happily ruling over it. But everything changed around a month ago when one of her trusted subordinates turned out to be a betrayer and killed one of her wolf friends. From that moment on, Lilyʼs mood had been downtrodden, and it also showed in the eyes of others as the rulerʼs mood affected everyone in their territory.

As usual, Lily began her meeting with the various subordinates to discuss the day-to-day affairs when the meeting was disturbed by a messenger.

”Your majesty, we have urgent news.”

The messenger was terrified to deliver the message during the meeting but the content was such that he couldnʼt wait longer, or his punishment would be extremely painful. His expression showed his fear, angering Lily further. But since she was a ruler, she calmed herself and asked the man to share the news.

”Your Majesty, we have found an eyewitness who has seen the betrayer!”

The message was like a thunderstrike exploding in her head as she charged toward the messenger and grabbed him.

The messenger became even more terrified, but he remained calm, knowing that any error in this situation would result in his death.

”Explain in detail!” Lily ordered. Her voice showed her hurriedness.

At that moment, one of the eleven other subordinates in the room looked ugly, but before others could see her, she masked her emotions and matched every other subordinateʼs expression, an expression of hurry and revenge.

”Your majesty, we have notified every intelligence organization around the area to find information related to the betrayer. Today, one eyewitness came, claiming that he had seen the betrayer, but he refuses to tell us anything,” The messenger explained in a single breath.

”Take me to the man,” Lily said, throwing the man.

Instead of getting angry, the messenger exhaled a sigh of relief after getting free from Lilyʼs grip and then hurriedly proceeded toward the room. Lily followed the man while the eleven subordinates in the room followed her.

”Where did you see the betrayer?” Lily asked the man.

It was a middle-aged man from one of the demonic races. The manʼs eyes glowed when he saw Lily enter the room.

Lily suddenly felt danger when she saw the look in the manʼs eyes. Her intuition turned out to be correct, as the man began to expand like a balloon while laughing hysterically.

Lilyʼs eyes suddenly turned cold as she swiped her claws at the man, ripping him into several pieces. Despite it, the man seemed to be alive, as the hysterical laughter was still ringing in the room.

Instead of getting angry, a smile spread across Lilyʼs face since she didnʼt see the situation as someone attempting to assassinate her but as a witness coming to her to give her some proof.
