The First Store System

Chapter 1010: Beastʼs Sales!

”Store owner, please initiate the taming battle,” Trish requested Aakesh and gently passed the card to him.

Aakesh took the card and initiated the process by tapping twice on the pattern. He then returned the card to her.

Time flew by, and after what felt like hours, Trish finally succeeded in trumping her opponent and winning the contest.

The next moment, she found herself back in the store. A shocked expression appeared on her face when she noticed that no time had passed in reality.

***

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store. He opened his eyes and turned that way, finding a group of unfamiliar faces proceeding in the storeʼs direction. At the back, he finally noticed one familiar face.

***

”Is this the store?”

The group belonged to the Wheat-Spotted Demons, and they had come here after learning about the store from Bistrid. There were six people in the group, with the weakest being Bistrid and the strongest being a Higher God.

Bistrid respectfully nodded in response to his fatherʼs question.

The Higher God level cultivator was Bistridʼs uncle, and his face was solemn while looking at the store.

”What are you thinking, brother?” Bistridʼs father asked his elder brother.

”Control your actions, and donʼt do anything that might offend the store owner,” The elder brother ignored the question and instead commanded the group.

Bistrid had already been inside the store, so he didnʼt find anything wrong with his uncleʼs statement but instead supported it.

”Letʼs go!” Bester ordered and proceeded ahead. The group didnʼt dare to ignore Besterʼs order and followed.

***

”Hello, store owner! I am Bester.” Bester greeted Aakesh and then introduced himself.

”I am Aakesh,” Aakesh replied in his usual manner.

”I would like to check the beasts sold by the store,” Bester said, as he had already learned about the storeʼs products from Bistrid.

Bistrid had a disappointed expression after he saw the number of people waiting for their turn to arrive.

Bester was looking at the card in his hands. It was a creature Bester had only heard rumors of during one of his travels.

The Ghost Wolf was a creature that seemed to exist in both reality and the spirit worlds at the same time. It had a translucent body, and its fur was faded white. Its eyes were glowing blue and seemed to peer through the souls of the living.

The beast on the card was of legendary quality. If a Divine Transformation beast with ultimate quality reaches the Divine Lord level, its quality reverts to legendary, but the beast only costs seven thousand supreme sacred stones, whereas ultimate quality beasts cost more on average at the Divine Transformation level.

The price difference was due to the skill system. A Divine Transformation beast with ultimate quality usually came with seven skills, and when it would reach the Divine Lord level, the number of skills would also grow, while a Divine Lord beast with the legendary quality only had five skills.

When Bester saw the price, he froze. The next moment, a wave of disappointment washed over him, as he couldnʼt afford it. Even if he spent all of his life savings, he would still not be able to afford half the sale price.

”Uncle Bester, are you worried about not having enough money?” Bistrid asked after seeing the reaction made by his uncle.

Yesterday, Bistrid had gone through the same conundrum, so when he saw his uncle this way, he understood the issue.

Bistrid then told Bester about the loan option from the store. When Bistrid concluded, he couldnʼt help but become surprised as he didnʼt find the expression he wanted to see on his uncleʼs face.

Bester had a helpless smile spread across his face even when he learned that the store could loan him an amount. The store needed an item to be kept as leverage, and he had no item that could even cover half the total cost, let alone more than seven thousand supreme Sacred stones.

”You donʼt have to worry about me,” Bester patted his nephewʼs shoulders and returned the card.

Time flew by, and Bester finally found a beast he could afford, and his fortune also helped him since it was also a Ghost Wolf.

Unfortunately for Bester, this Ghost Wolf didnʼt have the skill ”Soul Leech,” but since there were chances that it might awaken the skill and its cost was within an affordable range, Bester decided to complete the sale.

After Bester, it was the turn of Bisthal, the father of Bistrid.

Bisthal looked excited after reading the card details. The Birch Dryads were a peaceful race. The beings of this race were all female, with great beauty. They were tall and slender, with skin as white as a birch. Their hair was made of green leaves that cascaded like a stream down their backs.

Even though the card in Bisthaʼs hands didnʼt have any offensive skills and was also more expensive than the supreme quality Ghost Wolf, Bisthal found himself interested in it. The skill, ”Natureʼs Blessing,” was a rare one that not every dryad could learn.

”Brother, do you have four hundred supreme Sacred stones?” Bisthal looked at Bester and asked.

***

”Store owner, please initiate the taming battle,” Bester requested Aakesh, with his group members following him.

Bisthal and Bistrid stood at the back. Bistrid already had the beast, while Bisthal had an ugly face because he couldnʼt buy the Birch Dryad. Bester only had five hundred supreme Sacred stones with him, and he was going to spend three-fifths on the beast he wanted, so he didnʼt have the required amount.

***

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Every clash between Fidel and Riddley, broke the space, creating an explosion. Fidel had an ugly expression while Riddley looked calm as the battle between them was going on.

The Shadow King Wyrm and the Shadow Hunter couldnʼt stand the pressure released by their masters, so they became audience members.

”Hehe, my master is playing with your master,” The wyrm commented as the battle went on.

The Shadow Hunter didnʼt say anything in response but only looked at the battle. The more it went on, the more disappointed he became with its master.

The battle between Fidel and Riddley was like a fight between an adult and a child. The child tried everything with their full strength while the adult played with it.

Time flew by, and the expected result of the battle arrived as one of Riddleyʼs punches knocked out Fidel.

***

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Following the activation of their separate Ultimate Store Cards, Fidel, Ridley, and Fred teleported into the store one after another.
