The First Store System

Chapter 1029: Beginning!

”You canʼt harm him!” Jamie cried out and charged toward his father.

Jerome, who was about to break Asherʼs neck, stopped and looked in surprise at his son.

The pause was enough for Jamie to reach Jerome, so he appeared before him. Jamie then told his father about the store and why there was a contract.

”A mere store gave you so much fright that you agreed to give up part of your territory,” Jerome growled.

Nonetheless, his grip on Asherʼs neck had loosened, providing him with some relief.

A weak smile appeared on Jamieʼs face, and he told about the few customers of the store. Jeromeʼs expression turned ugly when he found out that the store had customers from races mightier than his.

Aakesh had postponed the event till the end of the ceremony, as Asher and Alfred had requested.

Around an hour after the event was over, Aakesh woke up from his meditation. He smiled when he saw Lily meditating next to him.

Aakesh rubbed her head, waking her up. She opened her eyes and became disappointed when she didnʼt see a screen showing her improvement.

Aakesh only smiled after seeing such antics from her and stood up. The next moment, the door to his room appeared, floating in mid-air, and soon after, the stairs connecting it to the floor also emerged.

After a while, Aakesh and Lily returned to the store, looking the same as ever. He then looked at the store and waved his hands.

The next moment, the system did its magic, and in no time, the entire hall became empty, null of any item. At the same time, the open rooms also had locked doors.

There was a platform several feet higher than the storeʼs floor at the end of the hall. On top of it, there were two chairs, one for Aakesh and the other for Lily.

Next, Aakesh turned his sight toward the door while Lily went to her chair.

He opened the door of the store since it was time for the competition to begin. As he looked outside, he found a crowd already waiting there.

Aakesh found Asher and Alfred in the crowd, but Asherʼs condition didnʼt look good, as if he were extremely tired. Besides the duo, there were two new faces that werenʼt Vurrons. When one of the two looked at him, he had enmity deeply hidden in his eyes.

Aakesh didnʼt care about them and turned around, emptying the door to welcome the customers.

The next moment, the crowd of people entered the store like a raging tide, and in no time, the store became overcrowded, while many people in the street became disappointed since they couldnʼt enter the store.

The number of people was a thousand, as Aakesh had put out the number. Outside the store, the number of people was more than what was inside the store. Aakesh even found many of the beastʼs owners outside, trying to enter.

Aakesh then looked at the crowd inside the store and found the number of non-beast owners higher than he wanted. Still, he had received more than the quest required.

But this way, many of the customers who specifically bought beasts would be left alone, so Aakesh decided to make a deal with the system.

”Hey, system, whatʼs the cost of temporary space expansion?” Aakesh asked.

[Host, no commission for one year will double the space for a day.]

[No commission for two years will expand the space by five times for a day.]

[No commission for three years will expand the space by fifteen times.]

.

[Host, no commission for ten years will expand the space by a thousand times.]

As the years grew, similarly, so did the expansion rate. Aakesh and the system both knew that as time passed, the store would become more popular and hence attract more customers, earning him more commission. It was the reason why a yearʼs worth of reduced commission only doubled the available space, but ten yearsʼ worth of reduced commission multiplied that number by a whopping thousand.

Aakesh didnʼt immediately answer but began to think about what to choose. He couldnʼt pick more as it would affect his cultivation, and at the same time, he couldnʼt choose less because it would affect the number of attendees and participants.

”Hey, system, take my five years commission and expand the space by a hundred times,” Aakesh requested the system.

Aakesh believed he had enough purer Sacred stones until he reached the Divine Lord. Even though Aakeshʼs talent in cultivation was second to none, his cultivation was a long process. Some less talented people would surpass him in cultivation speed.

Aakesh believed he would be able to enter the Divine Lord or would be at peak Divine Being, so he wouldnʼt have to worry about his cultivation resources till that time.

[Host, the storeʼs space is expanding by hundred times!]

The next moment, a white light covered the entire storeʼs hall. The people already present in the hall had shocked expressions as they saw the gap between the people increasing.

It took no longer than a second to expand the space by 100 times. The people looked in shock and awe at the blue-skinned man on the platform.

The people outside the store who had given up on entering heard a call telling them to enter the store. The closest person followed that call and entered.

The others who were about to leave stopped after seeing the situation, and soon, they tried to enter one by one as well. Soon, the street turned empty as everyone was inside.

In no time, the people inside the store crossed the mark of five thousand and stopped a few people short of crossing the halfway mark of six thousand.

It wasnʼt even six percent of the empty space, so the store looked empty. But since people were still entering, the number was increasing.

Aakesh decided to announce the competition and its rules after reaching a certain number of people since this change had cost him an enormous amount of money.

Time flew by, and several minutes passed in a flash.

When the number of customers crossed the mark of twenty-five thousand, Aakesh decided to begin. All the beast owners had entered the shop, except for a few.
