The First Store System

Chapter 1030: The Rules of the Game!

Aakesh suddenly waved his hands, and a plethora of chairs appeared in the store. They seemed chaotic as people were standing randomly in the store.

As everyone began to sit down, the chairs arranged themselves into rows. Soon after, all more than 25,000 people were sitting in neat rows.

Each row contained a hundred chairs, so there were more than two hundred and fifty rows, while the rest was empty space.

People inside the store had sensed the beginning, so they became silent and looked at the blue-skinned man on the platform. Their eyes were attentive, not wishing to miss a single word.

Jerome, who was in the first row, the courtesy of entering and sitting one of the earliest, had an ugly expression. Jerome believed in conquering, so unlike Jamie, he didnʼt care what improvements the store would bring to the Fawkes Kingdom.

Jerome was only obsessed with winning, but now that he was inside the store, he lost all hope of winning against the store and the store owner. The casual expansion of the storeʼs space was something that he could never seem to match, let alone the strong people he saw in the crowd.

Jerome knew he came from a backward area, so he didnʼt know about higher cultivation levels, but he could still sense who was more powerful than him. In the crowd, Jerome saw at least ten people who made him give up any hope of survival.

Aakesh didnʼt care about the thoughts going through the minds of the people seated below the platform. He stood up from his chair, bringing a wave of silence.

”Welcome to the first competition. Today, we will see the battles between the beasts while their owners will support them,” Aakesha announced to the public.

People were about to clap, but Aakesh didnʼt stop and continued, ”The beasts sold by the store come in three levels, Divine Transformation, Divine Being, and Divine Lord.”

”We canʼt have a competition between a Divine Transformation and a Divine Being or a Divine Lord, as that will be absurd.”

”Since there are three cultivation levels of the beast, there will be three competitions, each referring to a different cultivation level.”

”The entry fee for all three will be the same, so those who have ten ordinary Sacred stones and have bought beasts from the store and want to participate, raise your hands,” Aakesh announced and then waited.

The people understood the information, and soon hands were raised from different rows.

Aakesh waved his hands, and all the people who had raised their hands disappeared from their chairs and appeared on the platform not long after.

On the platform, three rows of people appeared. The first one referred to the owners of the Divine Transformation level beasts, while the last one was for the Divine Lord level beasts.

Aakesh counted the number of participants to be 129, of which 63 were in the Divine Transformation row; the Divine Lord row had 42 participants, while the second row, referring to the Divine Being cultivation level, had the lowest number of participants, 24.

”Even at the same cultivation level, not all beasts have equal sub-levels. Some are early, while some are intermediate, so to make the competition equal, the cultivation level of the beasts will be set at the early sub-level of their cultivation level.

But since there are also beasts that might have been bought at an early Divine Transformation level, and now they are at an intermediate or late Divine Transformation level, and they have learned a new skill due to their growth, all the skills the beasts have will be with them in the battle.

Only the effect of the skill will match their cultivation level,” Aakesh announced the rules.

Aakesh wanted fair competition, so he tried to set the rules as equally as possible. As for the quality of the beast, Aakesh didnʼt want to interfere with that. The people who had higher quality beasts and more skills also paid more to buy them. So, the rules made by the store helped the weaker beasts.

More than the beasts, this competition challenged the beast owners more, as they would be the supporters behind the scenes. The support wasnʼt in the battle but in telling the beast how to fight and what skills to use at what time.

When the participants digested the rules, some were excited while others were depressed, but since the rules didnʼt treat the strong badly, they accepted them.

”Even though the entry price for all three cultivation levels is the same, the rewards canʼt be similar,” Aakesh began speaking again.

The battle of the Divine Lord beasts was tougher since the number of skills both parties had grew. Even the lowest-quality beast at that level would have three skills. So, Aakesh decided to set the rewards differently for the three cultivation levels.

”The winner of the Divine Lord beast battles will receive a free summon, a hatching coupon up to True God, and three Panagea hours.”

”The runner-up will receive a hatching coupon up to Divine Lord and three Panagea hours.”

”The third-ranked participant will receive three Panagea hours.”

”The winner of the Divine Being beast battles will receive a free summon, a hatching coupon up to Divine Lord, and three Panagea hours.”

”The runner-up will receive three Panagea hours.”

”The third-ranked participant will receive two Panagea hours.”

”The winner of the Divine Transformation beast battles will receive a free summon and three Panagea hours.”

”The runner-up will receive two Panagea hours.”

”The third-ranked participant will receive one Panagea hour.”

Aakesh announced the rewards for all three rounds of battles. He decided to reward the top three since it was the first event. He wanted to do it as he did in the Primal Dimension.

The winner of each of the three levels received a free summon, which didnʼt sound like a lot, but the store customers knew how valuable it was. The summoning cost grew ten times with every summon, and the reward clearly didnʼt make only the first summon free.

Those who were wealthy and could go after fifteen rounds of summoning could save ultimate Sacred stones if they used the opportunity wisely.
