Not Being a Trainer This Time

“Hmm, I set out on my journey a week ago!”

No wonder… Naoki twitched the corner of his mouth, but still offered his own advice.

“It’s too soon for you to challenge the Gym now. Looking at Ralts, it seems it hasn’t mastered many moves yet. Challenging the Gym in this situation could be extremely difficult.”

“Huh?” Kerixia was completely puzzled: “Then what should I do?”

Naoki: “… Special training, take your Ralts out into the wild for special training, battle with those wild Pokemon, or fight against other trainers to increase battle experience and hone skills. This will help it gradually get stronger. Once Ralts makes progress, you can come to the Gym for a test.”

It’s undeniable that starting with Ralts as a trainer is much more challenging compared to those who start with Charmander or Squirtle.

Before evolution, the moves Ralts can master are quite limited, and its body is quite fragile, far from being as sturdy as a Squirtle with its resilient shell.

At this time, smart trainers often capture another Pokemon to help Ralts through the early stages.

Looking at this little girl, she seems to have only Ralts by her side…

Kerixia thought seriously for a moment, then nodded: “I understand, thank you very much, Gym Leader sir!”

She’s going to take Ralts out into the wild for special training now!

“Once we get stronger, we’ll come back to challenge you again!” Kerixia said.

Naoki smiled slightly: “I’m looking forward to your growth.”

Kerixia turned and left with Ralts.

First, she headed to the Pokemon Center in Levincia City to heal Ralts, then set out for the forest on the city outskirts to begin special training.

Meanwhile, Naoki welcomed the third challenger.

Challenger Jinshou, from the Galar Region, had participated in the Galar Champion Cup and reached the top sixteen, currently possessing five Gym Badges.

Looking at the tall, dark-skinned, seemingly simple and honest boy opposite him, Naoki nodded:

“Welcome to Levincia Gym, I am the Gym Leader here, Naoki. The rules for this battle are 3v3, and the match will end only when all Pokemon from one side are incapable of fighting.”

Naoki took out Jolteon’s Poke Ball, and in a flash of white light, Jolteon reappeared on the battlefield.

Jinshou calmly nodded: “Please guide me! Go, my partner!”

Amidst a flash of white light, a large-bodied Pokemon emerged, its gray body shimmering with a metallic sheen like steel, its massive head raised high, its glowing red eyes locking onto Jolteon ahead.

That is… Steelix!

Witnessing this scene, the spectators around the square instantly exclaimed.

“Oh no, it’s Steelix!”

“Electric Type Pokemon are completely restrained by the Ground Type Steelix!”

It’s widely known that Ground Type Pokemon can transmit the electricity they endure to the ground through their connection to the earth, thus negating the damage from Electric Type moves.

“That Steelix looks well trained, definitely battle-tested. I wonder if it can defeat that Legendary Pokemon Zapdos.”

“The streamer is in danger!”
