Ho-oh’s satisfied gaze swept back and forth over them.

Among them, Entei asked respectfully, ”Lord Ho-oh, for what purpose have you summoned us here this time?”

Suicune and Lei Gong also turned to Ho-oh, waiting for its answer.

Ho-oh began to speak.

”The reason I called you over this time is that I want you to go meet a human,” it said.

A human?

Hearing this, whether it was Entei or Suicune and Lei Gong, all of them froze on the spot.

What did that mean? What kind of human? Wasn’t the reason Lord Ho-oh summoned them this time because something big had happened in the human world?

”Who is it?” Suicune asked, sounding a bit curious.

It wanted to know what kind of human was worthy of Lord Ho-oh acting like this.

Ho-oh: ”His name is Naoki. Of all the years I’ve walked the human world, he’s the one who best fits the identity of the Rainbow Hero.”

No, Naoki was practically the perfect Rainbow Hero! Ho-oh thought to itself.

However, upon hearing Ho-oh’s words, the Legendary beasts were once again stunned on the spot.

Naoki? Just who was that person, to make Lord Ho-oh speak with such emotion?

Still, they had at least figured out the reason Lord Ho-oh had summoned them here.

It wasn’t because something major had happened in the human world, but because it wanted them to test that chosen one, right? And then guide him to Mount Tensei to complete the Trial.

Just like a few years ago, when they tested that human called Ash.

”Understood.” Entei said in a solemn tone, ”In strict obedience to Lord Ho-oh’s command, we shall go test that person at once, and guide him here to take part in the Trial.”

Suicune and Lei Gong beside him also lowered themselves slightly, bowing to Ho-oh, then prepared to withdraw and go carry out their mission.

Yet unexpectedly, all of them were called back by Lord Ho-oh.

”Wait!”

The Legendary beasts halted their steps and turned around, looking back in confusion.

Ho-oh said speechlessly, ”When did I say you should guide him here?”

The Legendary beasts were slightly taken aback.

Ho-oh continued, ”That person is already my Rainbow Hero. The reason I gathered you here is only so you can go meet him and get to know him.”

Entei, Suicune, Lei Gong: ”?”

Upon hearing this, huge exclamation points practically popped up over the three beasts’ heads.

What was going on? From the sound of it, that person had already become the Rainbow Hero? But they hadn’t tested him yet...

What shocked them even more was that Lord Ho-oh now wanted them to go and introduce themselves to him.

Just what kind of human was that?

”Him? He’s a very good person.” Ho-oh instructed, ”Head to the Paldea Region now, to a place called Naoki Ranch!”

With that, Ho-oh flew off, leaving the three Legendary beasts staring at one another.

The Paldea Region... What kind of place was that?

From the sound of it, it didn’t even seem to be on the same continent!

Suicune pondered to itself. As the embodiment of the north, it could race over water with ease; even the ocean posed no problem for it.

Lei Gong could also ride thunderclouds and fly; traveling to another continent wasn’t difficult for it.

Thinking this, the two Pokemon exchanged a look, then said to each other:

”I’ll be going on ahead to carry out Lord Ho-oh’s command.”

Suicune and Lei Gong departed, racing off in different directions and quickly vanishing into the forests and mountains.

Only Entei remained standing atop Mount Tensei, lost in thought, pondering how it could possibly reach another continent.
