Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 1236: Chapter 567: Giovanni: Want to Be Friends? (2)

Giovanni:”…”

At that moment, Giovanni suddenly had a flash of inspiration and thought of an opportunity to connect with the other party!

His current identity isn’t just the Boss of Team Rocket; openly, he’s also a well-known young entrepreneur.

That’s right, he can approach the other party as a young entrepreneur and discuss the opening of Dragonite Delivery in Kanto City.

Secretly, he can guarantee as the Boss of Team Rocket that Dragonite in the Kanto Region and Johto Region won’t be harmed or kidnapped.

He could also use this opportunity to make friends with them.

Thinking of this, Giovanni immediately contacted his secretary, Matori.

“Book me a flight ticket to the Paldea Region!”

The next morning, just as Naoki anticipated, upon hearing about the new trial on Naoki Ranch suitable for new challenges, the students from Paldea Academy came rushing over.

“Mr. Naoki, I’m here to challenge the trial!”

“I got here first! I want to challenge it first!”

“No, it’s definitely me!”

“…”

Looking at the crowd of new Trainers in front of him, Naoki seemed to see a wave of experience rushing toward him.

He suddenly wore a kind smile on his face and said to the crowd:

“Don’t worry, line up, one by one.”

“This trial is called the Hero’s Trial; the content of the trial is a battle against my Sylveon, and if you win, you can receive my special pass badge and a Berry Gift Package.” Naoki said with a smile.

The pass badge from Naoki Ranch?

Upon hearing this, the Trainers in front of him suddenly became excited, as this item is something even their skilled seniors haven’t achieved!

If they pass the Hero’s Trial and get the Naoki Ranch badge, they will surely return to their academy with many envious looks, just the thought was thrilling!

“The Hero’s Trial? Does that mean defeating this Sylveon makes us heroes?” The group of Trainers cast their eyes toward the Sylveon beside Naoki.

However, Naoki did not answer directly; he only smiled and said something meaningful.

“A hero is not limited to strength and names; even if someone’s strength is weak now, one day, the hero will grow and become a truly strong existence.”

These words made the teenage boys and girls’ eyes shine.

Was Mr. Naoki hinting at them?

Yes, it must be the case!

Although their strength is weak now, one day, they will become champion-level Trainers!

The boys immediately became excited.

Looks like the rumors about him in the academy were true.

It’s said that Mr. Naoki is a retired champion-level Trainer who set up trials on his ranch to help trainers passing by improve their strength and hone their will, specially training those excellent trainers.

Mr. Naoki is such a good person!

A great predecessor!

“Alright then, I’ll be the first to challenge; Mr. Naoki, here we come!”

A boy stepped forward, full of fighting spirit, and threw out his Poke Ball.

A flash of white and a Wingull appeared on the battlefield.

Naoki’s gaze fell on the Wingull, it looked still very naïve, it seems to have been captured not long ago.

Indeed a newcomer Trainer!

The battle officially began; the Wingull used Water Gun on Sylveon, but Sylveon dodged it gracefully.

Drinking Life Sheep Milk, eating Pokeblocks, and growing up bathing in Natural Energy, Sylveon, though not specially trained, has a strong physical condition not easy for these beginner Pokemon to challenge.

Under Naoki’s command, Sylveon used the Fairy Wind + Sand Attack combo move, creating a sandstorm to block Wingull’s sight.

Then a Swift move made Wingull lose its ability to battle.

Next was the second Trainer…the third Trainer…the fourth Trainer…

After attending to all the Trainers, it was already noon.

They lost two battles but won eight.

Though supported by Life Sheep Milk to replenish Sylveon’s energy and stamina timely, prolonged continuous battles made it feel very mentally tired.

“I’m very sorry, my Pokemon is a bit tired, let’s stop for today!” Looking at the Trainers in front of him, Naoki showed an apologetic look.

Seeing this, the boys and girls quickly waved their hands:”It’s okay, it’s okay, Mr. Naoki, quickly take Sylveon for a rest!”

—Indeed Mr. Naoki is such a good person! He and Sylveon overlooked their fatigue and trained with them all morning!

It’s truly moving, when they become strong Trainers, they too will guide juniors like Naoki, helping them train!

The challengers left one after another, Naoki smiled at Sylveon beside him and asked:”How do you feel?”

“Vee!”

Sylveon felt itself progressing quickly; a morning of actual combat made it realize many things. Although mentally exhausted, its body felt fulfilled.

This feeling… it’s getting stronger!

“Then that’s no problem, ten battles a day, a hundred in ten days, three thousand six hundred fifty in a year, plus my special dishes, you will definitely become a formidable Pokemon!” Naoki said:”Dragonite also trained in this way back then.”
