Not Being a Trainer This Time

If that’s not possible, then how do those Paradox Pokemon propagate?

Koraidon’s eyes widened, seemingly not expecting Naoki to ask this question.

”Ah gah!”

”Hmm?”

Koraidon stopped speaking.

After this interruption from Koraidon, Naoki suddenly felt less nervous than before.

At this moment, Levincia City had arrived.

Koraidon landed at the entrance of where Lono lived, and from a distance, Naoki saw Lono waiting there.

Autumn had arrived, the weather gradually cooling down, and Lono had changed into a yellow hoodie filled with Electric-type Trainer style, with a cartoon graphic of a Magnemite on it, looking very cute.

Before Naoki even landed, he saw Lono waving energetically at them along with Bellibolt in front of the building.

”Over here——”

Koraidon landed, Naoki dismounted from it, and asked, ”Should we go over now?”

”Hehe!” Lono nodded happily. ”That’s right, I already told them in advance; they should be preparing lunch to welcome you now!”

Naoki: ”To be honest, I’m a bit nervous. What if they don’t like me?”

”Don’t worry! Hello, little Koraidon!” Lono bent down, patted Koraidon’s head, greeted it with a smile, and then continued, ”They’ll definitely like you, and if they don’t agree...”

Here, Lono grinned, showing a pair of cute little tiger teeth, with a mischievous smile on her face, ”Then we’ll elope!”

Naoki was dumbfounded.

Lono linked her arm with Naoki’s, her tone full of determination: ”Like the Eelektross bravely jumping through the dragon gate, let’s charge forward!”

Naoki: ”...”

Seeing this quirky side of Lono, Naoki knew that his future life probably wouldn’t be boring!

”Then let’s go!”

The two of them, along with Koraidon and Bellibolt, headed towards the old house of Lono’s family.

Lono’s house wasn’t far from her parents’; even walking, you could get there in just a few minutes.

”That’s it!” Lono pointed at a building and said to Naoki.

Naoki looked closely and saw a two-story house with a yard nestled in the middle of the street.

The gate to the yard was open, with a tree in the middle, grass lawns on either side of the path, and some Pokemon playing in the yard.

Wattrel, Cyclizar, Skiploom, Oddish, Delcatty...

Upon seeing the pair enter, these Pokemon all directed curious glances at them.

Lono greeted them enthusiastically, ”Good morning, everyone!”

”Here they come, here they come!”

Inside the house, a man and a woman heard the commotion outside and immediately crowded by the window to observe the situation outside.

They were Lono’s parents, the man and woman who had previously visited the Naoki Ranch.

Looking at that familiar figure, the man recalled his past experience of being defeated consecutively at that ranch, his expression turning grim.

Darn kid... Hmph!

”Oh dear, don’t make that face! Smile a little, today should be a happy day! Otherwise, he might think we’re not welcoming him.”

Consequently, the man’s lips turned further downwards.

”You’re such a grump!” the woman snapped, pinching his waist in irritation, then threatening, ”No matter what, you better behave well later, or just see how I’ll deal with you tonight! Get ready, I’ll head to the kitchen; you should go open the door!”

Man: ”...”

At this moment, the doorbell rang.

The woman quickly turned around and went into the kitchen, starting to cook as if she hadn’t noticed anything.

The man sighed helplessly, stepping forward to open the door.

Naoki, still pondering how to greet them, was startled as the door opened right in front of him.

He instinctively greeted, ”Hello, Uncle...”

The next second, he spotted a familiar figure inside the door.

Their eyes met, and Naoki was immediately frozen in place.

The man’s expression was serious, but recalling his wife’s reminders, his face softened a bit, though his tone still sounded very stern: ”Come in.”

After speaking, he turned and walked inside.

Seeing Naoki and her father like this, Lono was quite puzzled. She asked in a low voice, ”Have you met my dad before?”

Naoki: ”Well... that’s a long story.”

”Then make it short.”

”In short, Uncle came to the ranch for a challenge and then I defeated him six times in a row.”

Upon hearing this, Lono immediately widened her eyes. She recalled her parents’ strange actions previously, and everything quickly pieced together in her mind.

She couldn’t hold it any longer and burst into laughter with a puff.

The man, hearing the commotion, turned his head to look, ”?”.

Lono quickly waved her hand and explained, ”It’s nothing, it’s just something funny I remembered!”

Man: ”...”

Forget it.

He glanced at Naoki, and in a somewhat stiff tone, said to him, ”Have a seat!”

At this time, the woman came out from the kitchen, pretending to have just noticed the two’s arrival, a smile on her face:

”Here already?”

Seeing the woman’s familiar face, Naoki was once again stunned.

This was none other than the lady who had gotten lost near the ranch before, asked him for directions, and even gave him a handmade Poke Ball!

At this moment, even if he had been slow, he understood their intentions.

They weren’t there to challenge a trial, nor were they really lost, but rather they came to the ranch to observe him!

Seeing Naoki’s expression, the woman gave a kind smile: ”Nice to see you again, have a seat first, lunch will be ready soon, and then we’ll chat in leisure!”
