Not Being a Trainer This Time

“You’ve arrived.” Ho-oh glanced at the three Pokemon and asked, “Did you all see it?”

See what? The legendary beasts were slightly confused.

But soon, they understood what Ho-oh meant.

“I saw the giant Gate of Space-Time.”

“I saw many Pokemon living here.”

“Master Ho-oh, what exactly is this place?” Suicune inquired.

Ho-oh slowly replied, “As you can see, this is the World Tree, a place created by Naoki for Pokemon to live. He established the Explorer Team Guild, traveling with those Pokemon to every corner of the world, even to other worlds, to help Pokemon in need and save worlds on the brink of destruction.”

What?! Upon hearing this, the legendary beasts were slightly taken aback.

They looked at the human beside them, finally understanding why Master Ho-oh valued him so much.

“I brought you here this time to let you understand all of this.” Ho-oh said, “He is the Rainbow Hero I have chosen, and his actions require no further tests.”

“Yes, Master Ho-oh!” the legendary beasts responded in unison.

At this moment, Ho-oh turned his gaze towards Raikou.

“Additionally, Raikou, the Rainbow Hero currently needs your help. I hope you can do your best to assist him.”

Raikou was stunned for a moment before finally speaking, “Yes, Master Ho-oh!”

Naoki also did not expect that Ho-oh was serious!

He really called Raikou to help his Electric Type Gym!

Suicune and Entei looked at Raikou, while Raikou turned his gaze towards Naoki.

“What do you need me to do?” it asked.

Naoki: “…Actually, it’s nothing much. I just want you to join my Pokemon team and help me with Pokemon battles for ten months.”

Upon hearing this, Raikou was slightly stunned.

Did he want it to become his Pokemon to assist him in battles?

Raikou squinted its eyes, and in the next second, a bolt of lightning erupted from its body, followed by a deep voice.

“Let me see if you can harness my power!”

Naoki: “?”

Was Raikou challenging him to a Pokemon battle?

Seeing this, Entei and Suicune stepped aside, providing enough space for the battle.

Ho-oh also remained silent because it believed in Naoki’s strength to control Raikou.

Naoki: “…” That’s very fitting for the Pokemon World.

Did Raikou want to test his strength?

If so…

“Koraidon, I’m counting on you.” Naoki said, though he didn’t want to, he only had Koraidon with him at the moment.

“Gahhss!”

Koraidon slowly stepped forward, its golden eyes fixed on Raikou.

In the next moment, the battle officially began!

Raikou started rushing towards Koraidon at an incredible speed, densely packed yellow electricity surging on its body, like thunder descending from the heavens, shaking the surrounding air.

Dazzling sparks erupted from Raikou, transforming into streams of electricity heading towards Koraidon.

“Dragon Claw.” Naoki said.

At the moment the command was given, Koraidon’s figure moved.

It swung its massive claws, moving so fast that it left afterimages in its wake, and in an instant, it was in front of Raikou.

With a flash of purple light, Dragon Claw was unleashed, shattering Raikou’s electricity and delivering a heavy blow.

Such immense power! Raikou’s face showed a serious expression.

It was about to change its strategy when it heard the next command from the Rainbow Hero.

“Collision Course!”

In the next second, the red Pokemon leapt into the air, ancient energy surging from it, and then charged towards its target.

Danger! Raikou immediately felt the threat, quickly gathering Extrasensory power to try and defend.

Strong psychic energy surged out, causing the air to faintly tremble.

Would it work? Raikou’s heart tightened.

But immediately after, it saw the Pokemon break through the shockwave of Extrasensory and ram into it.

“Boom!”

With an explosive sound, a cloud of dust billowed from Raikou’s position.

Moments later, as the dust settled, Raikou lay there, having clearly lost its ability to fight.

“We won.” Naoki said.

Koraidon returned to Naoki’s side, and Ho-oh nodded in satisfaction, “Capture it with a Poke Ball! It will help you on my behalf.”

Naoki: “…”

Was Ho-oh asking him to capture Raikou?

Naoki looked at Raikou, and Raikou, struggling to stand, said, “I obey Master Ho-oh’s order.”

A surge of Divine Power erupted from Raikou, causing an empty Poke Ball to fly out from Naoki’s waist as if controlled.

Raikou voluntarily transformed into a red light and entered the Poke Ball, which landed on the ground and wobbled slightly before coming to a stop.

This signaled a successful capture, indicating it had acknowledged him.

Naoki: “…”

Fine, in that case, he wouldn’t disappoint Ho-oh and Raikou’s kindness!

Naoki stepped forward to pick up Raikou’s Poke Ball, looking up to thank Ho-oh, “Thank you, Ho-oh, Raikou. Please take care of me for the next ten months.”

“No need to be courteous,” Ho-oh said softly.

The Poke Ball containing Raikou gently wobbled, as if Raikou inside was responding.

Then, Ho-oh looked at Entei and Suicune.

“You two can stay at the World Tree for now and help guard the pasture for Naoki.”

Entei and Suicune responded, “Yes!”

Naoki then looked at the Poke Ball in his hand.

Pawmot, Jolteon, Pikachu, Zapdos, Jirachi (Electric Tera), Raikou.

With this, he had assembled six Electric Type Pokemon.

Next, he could substitute for Lono at Levincia Gym to face the challenges from those trainers.
