I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1397 19.56 Second Red Star - An Elemental King who sides with humans.

The enraged Ice Elemental Penguin King had gone rampage in its own territory. It even forgot where it was and destroyed everything in its path just to chase after Leng Jun, who is the source of his rage. Leng Jun, who was smaller and could fly, moved faster compared to the Giant Penguin King.

The magnificent ice castle from before was kicked away, as were the slides and pools, which seem like a mini-ice amusement park, which were partially destroyed. As for the little elementals, most of them were eaten by the power of gluttony Leng Jun had released. In such a short time, the whole place was in ruin. Most of it was destroyed by that penguin, though.

Now in the south territory, thereʼs a huge penguin going rampage, a big black dragon slithering under the ice pool, and a hybrid fire elemental flying around. Leng Jun was merciless, and since this Elemental King was the first one to attack him, he also fought back. He controlled all the fire elements in his body and added a few attributes of gluttony to them.

This is his first attempt to mix fire elements with the power of gluttony. The red fire in his hands slowly changed color, and a tint of purple and black was added to make the fire glow with a shade of magenta. Leng Jun was covered in cold sweat, and it shows how hard it is to control such a weird-colored fire.

He nonchalantly threw this small, strange-colored fireball towards the big target, the Penguin King, who looked at him with disdain.

[What can such a small fireball do to this king!?]

The arrogant Ice Elemental Penguin King showed a contemptuous look at such a small flame flying towards him. He chose to ignore it and proudly stood before Leng Jun, showing disdain and mirth at the depths of its eyes. With a smirk on its face, he let the small flame hit its chest without any intention of blocking.

Despite the arrogance of the Elemental King, Leng Jun watched with a pair of expressionless eyes, ignoring the contempt that fell on him.

Everyone watched as the small, colored fire fell on the chest of the Ice Elemental Penguin King. Unlike the expectations of the Ice Elemental Penguin King, who thought that the fire would be ineffective for him, the fire that landed on its chest felt like it was alive. A small hole instantly increased in size as the burn spread.

At first, the feeling was only a small ant biting his skin, but the moment it spread and the hole got larger, the feeling of being gnawed by endless burning ants spread from his chest.

At a certain point of pain, the Ice Elemental Penguin King finally screamed. It sounds agonizing and pitiful.

[AHHH! It hurts! Itʼs painful, and itʼs hot! Itʼs unbearably itchy! What the hell have you done to me!?]

The gigantic emperor penguin started flailing its hands while wanting to run around. It fails to stand on the ice properly, slipping and falling on its back. It even fell on the ice pool and almost sat on the hiding black dragon under the pool. The icy water extinguished the flame, yet the hole in his chest had gotten so big that it exposed half of his heart inside.

The Ice Elemental King didnʼt expect this kind of injury at all and was finally terrified of that small flame that landed on its heart. Seating inside the ice pool slightly eased the pain, yet the wounds were terrible to look at. Upon seeing the hole in its chest, the former arrogant penguin started crying, which left Leng Jun dumbfounded.

[Hole… on my… chest. Sobs~ Wuaa~ Iʼm going to die~]

The Ice Elemental Penguin King, who was seemingly arrogant before, became a crybaby. His cries resound throughout the whole southern territory, making those who are hiding within the glaciers come out. The Penguin King also shrinks and returns to its original form as a normal penguin. There is still that hole in his chest, though, even after shrinking.

Leng Jun had no choice but to look at the crying little penguin.

[Father! Iʼm in pain. Wuwu~]

Upon hearing an Ice Elemental King crying for its father, Leng Junʼs face is indescribable, but his guard had risen. The father of an elemental king could mean a more powerful being than the one in front of him. All of a sudden, the glaciers trembled, and the sound of machines could be heard.

A certain manhole-like door appeared on the glaciers, and when it opened, a middle-aged man came out of it, looking worried as he saw the situation of the Ice Elemental Penguin King. It was a human male who wore a zookeeper uniform.

The human zookeeper checked on the little elemental king. He wasnʼt surprised to see the hole, which is a lot smaller than before, as the elemental qi in the area had been sucked in by this elemental king to heal itself. Under their eyes, the hole has completely closed up, yet the little elemental penguin king is still crying.

The Ice Elemental Penguin King complained. [Wuwu~, Iʼm ugly now. Thereʼs a hole in my chest. Sobs~ father, it hurts~]

”Think again? Does it still hurt?” The human zookeeper who was called father of the penguin asked.

The Ice Elemental Penguin King still wanted to say it hurt, but when he tried to feel it, there was no more pain.

[Ah re?]

He looked down and saw no hole in his chest. It was smoother than before, and not even a scar was left.

[No more pain? Father, Iʼm healed! Hehe~]

Leng Jun was dumbfounded. He knew that the wounds of the Elementals could indeed heal fast, but it wasnʼt as defying as the healing ability of this Penguin King. He himself would have never believed it if not for seeing the wound on this silly penguin close up in just a few minutes.

The human zookeeper finally sighed in relief and patted the little penguin king. ”Thank God that you are alright!”

This middle-aged man is a zookeeper near this area, and he is the one who looked after this penguin before it transformed into an Elemental King. Because of the attachment of the little penguin to him and to the other humans who took care of it, it doesnʼt hate humans as much as the other elementals. The feeling he inherited from nature wasnʼt hate for humans, but caring for them instead.

But most elements born on this planet all abhor humans. Even though this little penguin is different, those other elementals not born on it would always hunt for humans. To protect them, this Penguin King made a few huge glaciers and let the humans hide inside. The interior was hollowed out, and there is even a machine that controls the temperature inside.

This allowed humans to hide from other elements while under the protection of the Ice Elemental Penguin King.

All the humans that were under the protection of the Penguin King came out and surrounded it. They wanted to hide their little penguin king from Leng Jun, who looks like an elemental yet a human at the same time. As expected, when the zookeeper looked at Leng Jun in the sky, his face turned serious and unfriendly.

They had witnessed Leng Jun attacking their territory first, and the little penguin king had to fight back to protect the territory.

At first, they thought that the other regionsʼ elements were attacking them again, especially when they saw that huge black snake that came from the sky and started eating the elements in the south region from the monitor connected to the satellite above their place. But when they saw Leng Junʼs appearance, apparently one of the people from their place recognized him and identified him.

Though they are unsure if Leng Jun is thoroughly human or not, at least they have verified that he used to be a human. So, when the little penguin king was injured, they decided to come out.

The human zookeeper spoke, ”Itʼs nice meeting Sir Leng Jun of the Special Force. Would you please come down from the sky?”

Leng Jun thought for a moment and decided to come down. Before he descended, he called back the power of glutton to his body and descended from the sky. His wing didnʼt directly disappear but folded on its back. He looked at the uncle who spoke just now.

He said, ”If you know my name, it means you have someone from the military. Call him out for me.”

The zookeeperʼs uncle agreed to his words and asked one of his comrades to bring the man who recognized him. It was one of his former subordinates when he was still with the force.

”Captain! How come you became so young again!? Also, this appearance... what happened to you?” The former special forces agent asked with excitement in his eyes. Obviously delighted to see his leader still alive in the apocalypse like him.

Leng Jun said, ”Some things happened. Itʼs not something bad.”

Suddenly, an adorable little boyʼs words were heard: [You bad man. Youʼve merged with my kind and inherited his powers. Now you are no longer a human but a hybrid elemental with a kingʼs bloodline like me. You came here for my energy core, as Grandpa Fox told me in my dream!]

As soon as these words were spoken by the little penguin, the humans in its vicinity turned vigilant towards Leng Jun, yet the latter didnʼt care much and focused his gaze on the little elemental king.

”To the Fox King, he told you just that. Did he say something else?” Leng Jun asked.

”Stay where you are! Donʼt approach!”

He didnʼt dare to approach, as he could see that the humans surrounding the penguin were all here to protect him. Even his former subordinate had intentionally blocked the closest route for him to reach the little elemental king.

Regardless of whether he is a human or a hybrid elemental, his existence is considered a danger to the Ice Elemental Penguin King, who seems to be not only silly but also young.

The little penguin king tilted his head to one side, but because his neck was quite thick, it didnʼt bend as expected, and his whole body tilted to one side as he thought of something. Everyone was waiting for him to speak.

[I remember! Grandpa Fox said you would not be interested in my energy core, so I should bring you to that place!]

Your next journey awaits at empire

Leng Jun asked, ”Which place?”

[That place gave me the power to become an elemental. But that place is extremely dangerous; aside from me, all will turn into ice, no matter if they are human or elemental,] as the Penguin King said.

The zookeeper and the other humans frowned. They already knew which place the little penguin was talking about when he mentioned where he was transformed into an elemental. Like he said, that place is a danger zone that even elementals never venture inside.

But maybe because thatʼs the place he was transformed, the Ice Elemental Penguin King wasnʼt affected by the chill of that location and could enter and exit such a dangerous place without any worries.

Leng Jun, of course, noticed the sudden changes in the expressions of everyone around him. It seems that they also knew what kind of dangerous place the little penguin king was talking about.

”Does something matter?” Leng Jun asked his former subordinate.

The soldier responded, ”Captain, are you really going there? You shouldnʼt go. Everyone who went to that place never came out alive!”

[Didnʼt I come out of that place alive?] The confused little penguin king said:.

The zookeeperʼs uncle pats his penguin son. He is the one who took care of this little emperor penguin when it was transferred to the zoo, where he worked when he was only a child. This little one had been quite sickly when it was young, and he had to accompany it almost every day just to make sure it would survive.

This is also the reason why the little penguin called him father after being able to speak.

”My little king is different. You are an amazing one to come in and out of that place,” the zookeeperʼs uncle said.

[Yes, this king is amazing!]

Leng Jun said, ”Iʼm sorry, but can you bring me there? If that place is indeed as special as you said, I will not come for him anymore.” He pointed to the little penguin king as he mentioned ʼhimʼ.

The zookeeperʼs uncle said, ”I donʼt know what you are trying to do, but as long as you promise not to harm him anymore, I will tell you the location.”

”I promise. If I truly wanted to take him away, you would not be able to do anything. Only he can fight against me. Like he said, I am no longer a human but a half-elemental. As for why I am gathering the energy core of the Elemental Kings, itʼs for personal reasons. Thatʼs why I canʼt tell you,” Leng Jun said.

The zookeeper uncle nodded his head and gave him the former address of the zoo they used to work in. It seems that something special had landed on that place.

Unexpectedly, the little Ice Elemental Penguin King said, [I can show you the way!]

The others didnʼt agree to the little penguin kingʼs words, but he can hardly change his mind. They knew that this little one treated that place as his personal secret place, so it was not surprising that he would show the way to this little hybrid who just came to their place.

The zookeeperʼs uncle said, ”Then I shall accompany you. I wonʼt go in, but I will go with this little one.”

”I donʼt mind. Shall we go?” said Leng Jun.
