I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1365: 19.24 Second Red Star - Cid Warlock officially meeting the Zerg Queen.

Meanwhile, somewhere in space above the Federation Star...

Mechas and starships surrounding Titania, the Zerg Queen. Despite the fact that his opponents were all around him, he appeared calm and bored. This aim, in his opinion, was insufficient to allow him to fully express his abilities. He had not heard from those in the Federation Star yet, which is the only reason he was not killing them straight.

His subordinates had finally sent him a message, and he discovered they had arrived not far from him. In order to stop them from pursuing their group, he made the decision to blow up every spaceship owned by humans in the area. Shaking his wings like a butterfly, he shattered ice over the battlefield.

It tore apart everything in its path as it soared toward the stores held by humanity, some of the engines even blew up.

Queen Titania remained serene and collected as he saw the explosion and devastation in front of his face, as though he had not witnessed the deaths of many creatures. He flew and went into the spacecraft, waiting for him a long way off. His butterfly wings vanished from sight as soon as he boarded the ship.

The presence of royal-level zergs is too much for those with sensitive senses like sentinels and guides. Especially since Titania just unfolded his wings, his SS+ aura was out for everyone to feel. Itʼs too suffocating and chilling. Ordinary people who are less sensitive wouldnʼt feel much about it.

Ugh!

Observing the weaklings in the crowd, Titania tried to keep his aura as contained as he could. At least enough to keep these peopleʼs breathing unaffected. As soon as he sat down, he saw Cid Warlock coming. He had Solan, Kian, and Roan trailing behind. Lucas, on the other hand, is sleeping and recovering from severe injuries sustained during the days of torture.

Nier and her fellow aides are positioned behind Queen Titania. For now, the starship was operating on autopilot. The autopilot was adequate to get them back to the hive, because the destination had been set and no one was pursuing them.

Cid Warlock found a chair ready to sit in. It was positioned in a lower seat than Titania, but still across from the Zerg Queen. They were also given a tea set. The tea was served by Nier. Prior to Cid Warlock, a potential royal descendent, he served the queen.

Queen Titania looked at his tea and didnʼt meet the halflingʼs eyes. He wanted to ignore him, but their standing is similar, so he chose not to.

”Speak. I am willing to listen as for helping you; donʼt expect too much,” Queen Titania said. ”The only reason I save you is because of your special bloodline and nothing more. Plus, even though your zerg bloodline is an advantage, your other bloodline is also a disadvantage. Who didnʼt know that the one who ambushed the Zerg Emperor and Zerg Empress years ago was someone from the Warlock Family?”

These direct and cutting remarks eliminated any chance of a coalition. After all, it is clear from the Zerg Queenʼs demeanor that he has no interest whatsoever. The Queen of Zergs speaks painfully, but his words are accurate. Cid Warlock never disclosed his zerg lineage when on a mission in the hive for the same reason.

I had learned a great deal about the taboos and the culture of the insect race after years of living in the hive. There is no truth to the rumors that they consume human flesh. Never once, not even on the black market, had he discovered even a scrap of human flesh in the hive. Those who are detected doing so, after all, will face public execution as a punishment.

It can be said that aside from some insect parts on their bodies, these zergs are not different from humans. They are more strict when it comes to laws and would hardly break them as the punishment was cruel and merciless.

”Is that also the reason why you arenʼt going to aid me?” Cid Warlock asked.

Queen Titania responded, ”No. I have my own principles and... I will only do what I want in my life. Even Augustus doesnʼt ask me to support him with the throne. In his case, he was just too bored to sit there. If you want to replace him, you must have the heart to accept our race without hatred.

After all, as a King, your responsibility is to protect the whole race.”

Titania Ambrosia squinted his eyes at him and said, ”The current you canʼt do it. You canʼt accept the Zerg Race wholly nor can forgive the Human Race. I think it would be better if you created your own place. A world only for the halflings.”

Cid Warlock fell into deep thought upon hearing this suggestion. If he had enough power and land, he would definitely do so. But compared to a small territory, a whole planet is better, right? This is why he wanted to become the Zerg King.

”I wanted to be a king, though. I would be able to protect my people more that way,” Cid Warlock said.

Queen Titania said, ”Just try defeating Augustus or... just ask him to give you the throne. If you prove yourself enough, he would definitely listen. That one is not interested in the throne. The only reason he is seated there is because he is looking for someone.”

”Prove. How do I prove myself to him?” Cid Warlock asked.

Queen Titania answered, ”Show enough strength, authority, and wits that you wonʼt fall under those old things once you become a king. As long as you show that you have the traits of a king, he will definitely not ignore you.”

”The Queen seems to know the Zerg King well,” Cid Warlock said.

Queen Titania said, ”I do not. Before, I could still guess whatʼs in his mind, but not now. He had changed a lot.”

The Zerg Queen suddenly changed the topic of their conversation and said, ”The pure human on your side canʼt stay in the Hive. Even if I allow you to, those who hate humans would definitely try to kill them. We canʼt stop all attempts. I will give you a small fertile planet not far from the Hive. You can let your people live there for a while or live there yourself.

But you must come back with me to the Imperial Palace to meet the Zerg King.”

”Will he even meet me? Doesnʼt he look down on humans?” Cid Warlock asked.

Queen Titania said, ”You donʼt need to worry about that. That man looks down on everything in this world. He wouldnʼt care about humans and zergs unless necessary. With his unparalleled strength, those old men couldnʼt even hold on to him. He is merciless toward those he hates and goes against him. Just be careful with your words and you shall be alright.

Anyway, you will understand if you talk to him. Your first meeting was a bit... tragic.”

Cid Warlock remembered that moment when a dainty-looking Zerg King flicked him across the forehead. Even though he is even shorter than he is, that one flick from him was sufficient to send him to heaven. He shuddered to think of such a past event.

”Iʼm even surprised that my head didnʼt explode at that time. He must have held back quite a bit for me not to die on the spot.”

At this moment, Cid Warlock recalled his other subordinates. He was also unconscious when the Zerg Queen caught up with him.

”Your Highness, I hope you donʼt mind me asking. Did all my subordinates die that day?” Cid Warlock asked.

Kian, Roan, and Solan listened expectantly. That day, they had seen their comrades killed. One could not deny the remorse and sorrow in their hearts, even though they knew they could not hold the other person accountable because they were enemies. They may assist by holding themselves accountable for the deaths of their people.

Queen Titania was as merciless as before. ”They are all dead. Aside from the three behind you, the rest are gone. The humans and half-beasts are definitely dead. As for the half-zergs, they were spared even though they are considered dead. You can pick them up at the mines.

Unlike you humans, we hardly kill those who possess our bloodline.”

”Nier, change the route to the resource planet where you sent those halflings. The ownership of that planet will be given to him. Donʼt worry about the rest. I will report it to the King myself. Iʼm a bit tired. You can talk on your own.” Queen Titania left and headed to his personal room in this spaceship.

He no longer wanted to further get involved with this royal descendant, as he felt uncomfortable doing so.

Those who had been breathing silently while holding their breath felt their muscles relax when the Zerg Queen had fled. There was very little tension in the region now. Furthermore, the Zerg Queenʼs other servants chose to resume their job instead of engaging with the halflings, in contrast to Nier.

Solan and the rest, meanwhile, were encircling Nier. Their brothers had survived, and they wanted to know more about their brothersʼ circumstances. Over 50% of the people who survived had been spared. Humans and half-beasts made up the other half that was slain.

”Nier, is it true? Some of our brothers are still alive?” Solan asked.

Nier nods his head. At that time, he couldnʼt understand why the Queen spared those halflings. Though he also felt sorry for them being used by humans, they had longed to betray them and choose humans over the zerg race. So they can only be punished by death.

However, the queen gave the command to spare the halflings with the zerg ancestry and sent them to a resource planet where they would mine metal ore in his order. He believed at the time that the Queen had spared these men with half of their ancestry because he only needed a few mining slaves.

The nobility in the Imperial Palace sent them away as slaves without objecting to the queenʼs actions, and they appeared to be content with it.

It is suddenly clear to him why the Zerg Queen did what he did. He had hypothesized all along that Cid Warlockʼs other lineage came from the Royal Zerg Tribe. Even yet, he was unsure of how Queen Titania found out.

However, Nier would have understood everything if he had been in the Kingʼs Chamber during Cid Warlockʼs attempt to kill the Zerg King and had heard King Augustusʼ remark. The Zerg King had noted Cid Warlockʼs being mixed that day. That day, Queen Titania heard something like this and speculate all possibilities thanks to this remark.

So when the Zerg Queen saw the Blue Morpho Butterfly Wings on Cid Warlockʼs back, he was surprised, not because of his bloodline but because King Augustus knew about it before everyone could guess.

”Hm. They were mining metal ores, provided with a place to sleep, food, and rest. Even though their mental power and physical strength were sealed, they are still alive,” Nier said.

Upon hearing this, not only Cid Warlock was delighted, but even Solan, Kian, and Roan shed tears. They thought that only four of them remained as Cidʼs subordinates. Who would have thought that some of them were still alive?

”This is also good. They are not dead,” Solan said as he tried to hold back his tears.

Kian is not better than him, as his face was wet with tears while he was smiling. ”Hm. A half is better than just four. Iʼm sorry for the other brothers, but Iʼm still happy about this news.”

”With them, we wonʼt need to work hard to gather more people. We can still sneak into the Federation and say those halflings are stuck on that cruel planet.” Roan was a bit calm, but one could see the redness of his eyes.

”Itʼs not too late. I can still make it. Our own place to live without suffering and hatred. A place for us to live like normal people without people looking down on us or disgust towards our mixed bloodline. A world just for us alone,” Cid Warlock said.
