Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 380: Chapter 334: Withstanding the Nuclear Strike (Part 2)

...

The tycoons of the Old Ugly Consortium were in anticipation!

A group of war correspondents were also waiting eagerly!

And the media moguls, thinking they would watch this astonishing scene and report at the first opportunity whether the ancestors managed to resist the nuclear bomb to all corners of the world.

One could say that the outcome of the ancestors resisting the nuclear bomb seemed to be of interest to only dozens or hundreds.

In reality, the matter affected the entire world!

Inside the Sahara Desert.

Lu Li was continuously monitoring the aircraft carrier battle group’s movements with ”reconnaissance mode.”

When the enormous nuclear bomb launched from the nuclear submarine, he immediately knew.

Despite having energy reserves down to fifty percent, Lu Li made full preparations, decisively maximizing the ”energy shield” function of the Biological Force Field, enveloping himself and about a hundred members of the Morgan Clan.

He had made up his mind: if things didn’t feel right, he would have to sacrifice these Morgan Clan members to save his own life.

As for saving his own life, it wasn’t complicated.

It would simply involve using ”domain” to teleport elsewhere.

However, if the ”energy shield” of the Biological Force Field could barely withstand the nuclear bomb’s power, he would not abandon the lives of these Morgan Clan members but protect them, and then execute them at midnight to fulfill his previous promise.

Lu Li had not yet activated the domain, just in case.

He was waiting for the nuclear bomb to reach a certain range.

Otherwise, activating the domain would consume a large amount of energy.

After all, after a series of battles just now, he had already used up nearly fifty percent of his energy, reluctant to waste any more.

”In three minutes, the nuclear bomb will arrive here.”

Lu Li looked up at the night sky, ”Two minutes and thirty seconds to activate the domain.”

One minute gradually passed.

Two minutes flashed by.

Finally, two minutes and thirty seconds were up.

Lu Li activated the domain without hesitation to prevent being instantly killed.

As soon as he made all the necessary preparations, an enormous nuclear bomb appeared in the sky, visible to the naked eye.

The nuclear bomb, with a long trailing light, roared down at Lu Li and the Morgan Clan members sheltered by the ”energy shield” of the Biological Force Field!

A blinding blue flash suddenly rose in the desert!

The ground shook violently.

The entire sky trembled and twisted along with it.

The very space seemed to crack and roar!

A blindingly bright light nearly blinding everyone suddenly rippled out.

The explosion’s light was brighter than ten thousand suns!

The temperature instantly soared to the extreme, overwhelmingly hot!

In the sky and desert, everything illuminated by the light was vaporized immediately.

The ”energy shield” functioned to block external attacks, strong light, sound, and more.

Thus, Lu Li and more than a hundred Morgan Clan members inside neither went blind nor deaf because of it.

In contrast, they remained seemingly unscathed.

At least, on the surface, Lu Li and the hundred Morgan Clan members seemed unharmed.

In reality, only he knew how violently his energy was being consumed!

In a blink, ten percent of the energy was gone!

In another blink, another ten percent was spent!

Terrifying high heat.

Powerful shockwaves.

And various radiations.

All wildly battering against the ”energy shield,” draining Lu Li’s energy.

This intense rate of consumption left Lu Li somewhat astonished.

”Is this the fearsome might of millions of tons of nuclear weapon explosion? I cannot last long!”

Terrifying!

Utterly terrifying!

Lu Li couldn’t help but feel a silent shock.

He knew that if his physical body were outside now, it might have already been vaporized.

No choice; he and the Morgan Clan members were at ground zero.

The temperature instantly soared to tens of millions of degrees.

Such tremendous power was naturally expected.

Once the ground zero effect ended, the remaining explosive force wouldn’t be as frightening.

At least Lu Li wouldn’t consume energy at such a rapid pace.

Now, he had one question.

Could he endure until the end of the ground zero effect?

As he worried silently, the extreme heat receded in an instant.

Then, the terrifying shockwave tore through, spreading in a spherical form, crazily expanding in all directions.

Even Lu Li’s ”energy shield” creaked as it was shaken, as if it might shatter at any moment.

However, once this tremendous force erupted, Lu Li suddenly felt the explosion’s power seemed greatly diminished, and his energy consumption rate instantly slowed!

...

Lu Li was shocked at the nuclear weapon’s power.

But there were those more shocked than him!

After the explosion of millions of tons of nuclear weapons.

Instantly, within an area of thirty or forty kilometers, the high sky turned dark, with flashes of electricity and thunder.

A blindingly bright light illuminated the entire world.

The entire earth and sky changed color!

Then came a deafening roar.

A massive gale arose.

The ground and sky began to shake violently.

All of this happened in an instant.

If anyone were standing at a distance looking in that direction, they would surely see a cream-like cloud in the high sky, with small explosions continuously rolling and accelerating upwards into even higher skies!

A mushroom cloud raged in the sky!

Everywhere was ablaze with fire!

Dust and smoke permeated the air!

Thick smoke and blue flames surged nonstop!

Even some faraway war correspondents smelled a scorched odor.

Some instinctively thought a meteor had hit Earth!

Shockwaves of immense force continually surged toward the positions of the war correspondents.

Even though they were fifty or sixty kilometers from ground zero, the shockwaves left them with aching bodies.

Even the windows of sand buggies were shattered by the blasts!

Luckily, a few seconds later, the explosion ended.

Lu Guang, Han Lina, Douglas, and other war correspondents didn’t dare raise their heads immediately. It was only after waiting a minute or two that they slowly lifted their heads.

This time, they couldn’t care about brushing off the thick layer of sand covering them; they all grabbed their binoculars and looked toward the explosion site.

The Old Ugly Consortium’s tycoons, and the media moguls, made the same movements as the war correspondents.

Are they dead?

Were the ancestors blasted to death?

Everyone’s heart leaped to their throat!

As the dust settled, people finally saw the site of the nuclear explosion.

The term ”devastation” wasn’t enough to describe the scene of the desert.

The sand seemed to have receded by a massive depth, creating an enormous basin.

In this massive basin, a faint white light shone brightly in the night!

Within this faint white light, silhouettes seemed to float.

Lu Guang’s eyes widened in shock!

Han Lina, Douglas, and all the war correspondents gasped in astonishment!

As for the media moguls watching the satellite footage, they were dumbfounded!

Yet, the most astonished were likely those Old Ugly Consortium tycoons in the control room.

They stared at the scenes projected on the screens, ashen-faced.

Every one of them was so shocked their hearts stopped, their very souls nearly fled from their bodies!
