Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 377: Chapter 332: But... What If He Really Withstood It?

When George and the others decided to deploy the aircraft carrier battle group to launch a massive bombardment at the locations of the Ancestors and Morgan Clan members, it indicated that this battle was nearing its final stage.

The aircraft carriers were equipped with ”Super Hornets.”

This typical carrier-based fighter jet represents the flight performance of modern naval aircraft, with a maximum speed of 1.8 Mach, which is 2,200 kilometers per hour.

That means, if these fighter jets went all out, it would take just over sixteen minutes to reach the place where the Ancestors and Morgan Clan members were from the coastline.

In fact, the aircraft carrier battle group’s capability to strike enemies on distant land involves much more than just the fighter jet bombardment.

Because it has warships like cruisers and frigates equipped with powerful missile systems, and they can often launch Tomahawk cruise missiles from ultra-long distances, which can be used for accurate land target strikes.

This weapon is equipped with satellite global positioning correction guidance, with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, and a flight speed of about 800 kilometers per hour.

This is not the most terrifying aspect.

The most frightening thing is that the accuracy of the Tomahawk cruise missile strike is within an error of no more than ten meters within 2,000 kilometers!

Moreover, the maximum yield of the nuclear warhead carried by the Tomahawk cruise missile can be adjusted to 200,000 tons.

If this is not enough to demonstrate the frightening nature of the carrier battle group.

Then the attack nuclear submarines it carries should be enough to make everyone tremble.

Because the nuclear submarines are equipped with ”Trident” submarine-launched intercontinental missiles.

This type of submarine-launched intercontinental missile has a maximum range of 12,000 kilometers and an effective payload of 2.7 tons.

If equipped with a W87 warhead with a yield of 475,000 tons, ten of them can be carried.

This design enables the Trident D5 missile to strike multiple targets simultaneously, greatly increasing its strike range.

Additionally, the Trident D5 missile’s accuracy is very high.

After precision correction provided by the global positioning system, the error is only 90 meters.

For nuclear explosions with a range of several kilometers or even tens of kilometers, the error is almost negligible.

In simple terms, the Trident submarine-launched intercontinental missile can reach a maximum yield of 4.5 million tons!

The flight speed of such a powerful missile is even more terrifying, reaching as much as 5 Mach.

If the nuclear submarine wants to strike the location of the Ancestors and Morgan Clan members 600 kilometers away, it would take less than six minutes to precisely hit the target!

Lu Li’s ”reconnaissance mode” observed the movements of the nuclear submarine and noticed the war correspondents, including Lu Guang and Douglas, a few kilometers away.

He thought for a moment and decided to take advantage of the small amount of time before the aircraft carrier battle group arrived to let this group of war correspondents escape quickly.

With this thought, Lu Li immediately used energy to ”telepathically convey a message” to those war correspondents from a great distance, ”I am the Ancestor, you all must quickly evacuate to at least 40 kilometers away from here, or else when the nuclear strike from the carrier battle group 600 kilometers away comes, you will all... turn to ash!”

...

In the midst of the war correspondents’ camp.

Lu Guang, Han Lina, and Douglas were still in shock from the Ancestors possessing superpowers capable of changing the structure of the landscape or the Earth’s gravity.

Suddenly, an inexplicable thought arose in the minds of these war correspondents: ”I am the Ancestor, you must quickly evacuate at least 40 kilometers away from here, or else when the nuclear strike from the carrier battle group 600 kilometers away comes, you will all... turn to ash!”

Han Lina was taken aback, thinking it was a mental illusion.

She looked somewhat confusedly at the young male assistant next to her, ”Jin Zhong, did you hear something?”

The young male assistant called Jin Zhong turned pale, stuttering slightly, ”I... I think I heard the Ancestor telepathically telling me that we should leave 40 kilometers away, or when the nuclear strike comes, we will all die!”

Han Lina’s eyes widened, ”What? You sensed it too?”

Similar situations were playing out within the war correspondent teams of Lu Guang, Douglas, and others.

”Did you ’hear’ that too?”

”Hiss, the other side is readying an aircraft carrier battle group?”

”And preparing to launch nuclear strikes against the Ancestors?”

”My God, isn’t that just insane? According to the Ancestor’s information, evacuating 40 kilometers suggests the possibility of the carrier battle group launching nuclear weapons with a yield of millions of tons?”

”My Fack? Nuclear weapons with millions of tons yield? This is practically world-ending!”

Lu Guang, Douglas, and other war correspondents and their teams were in an uproar.

No one expected the Ugly Country consortiums to be this insane.

Preparing to deploy nuclear weapons with a yield of millions of tons to attack the Ancestors and Morgan Clan members?

This can’t even be described as terrifying anymore; it’s spine-chilling on a soul level.

It should be known that to this day, only one country has experienced the devastating effect of two nuclear bombs.

And the yield of those two nuclear bombs was merely a pitiful 15,000 tons and 20,000 tons.

Even so, the country that tasted the power of nuclear bombs was shocked beyond belief and eventually had no choice but to surrender with both hands raised high.

And now those Old Ugly consortiums are about to deploy nuclear weapons with a yield of millions of tons?

This is insane.

If the news gets out.

It will surely shock everyone around the world!

Are you really not afraid of international condemnation?

Are you really capable of doing such a thing?

Lu Guang, Han Lina, Douglas, and other war reporters were all shocked and furious.

The shock required no elaboration; the Old Ugly Consortium had gone completely insane, daring to provoke the world with nuclear bombs of millions of tons.

As for the anger, these war reporters could not believe that the Old Ugly Consortium did not know about their existence.

Yet they were still determined to use nuclear weapons of millions of tons?

This was obviously going to blow them to smithereens!

Lu Guang, Han Lina, Douglas, and other war reporters’ faces changed dramatically.

None of them dared to stay here any longer, quickly packing up their filming equipment and getting into their custom-made sand cars, rapidly fleeing into the distance.

There’s no choice but to run.

Who the hell would want to face the power of a nuclear weapon of millions of tons?

Of course, as war reporters, even though they were evacuating the filming area, they maintained their final professional integrity.

Inside the car, each war reporter quickly took out their communication device and called their respective bosses.

”Boss, I have something important to report to you...”

”What? Those Old Ugly consortiums might use nuclear weapons of millions of tons? Are they crazy?”

”Are you sure the Ancestors provided this shocking news?”

”Gee, crazy, crazy, you all better get far away, don’t worry about filming, I’ll have our satellite immediately pointed at the location you sent earlier, trying to capture the specific situation!”

”Didn’t the Ancestors run away?”

”No, at least not when we left. He and hundreds of Morgan Clan members were still standing firm in the desert.”

”Uh... since the Ancestors sensed that those Old Ugly consortiums might launch nuclear weapons of millions of tons, why didn’t he escape immediately? Could it be... he intends to withstand the nuclear bomb?”

At first, the media bosses who learned of this information, like the war reporters, were all shocked and furious.

But it wasn’t long before the media bosses all keenly noticed a crucial point.

That is, although it’s not clear how the Ancestors knew the Old Ugly Consortium was preparing to use powerful nuclear weapons, they warned many war reporters but did not intend to flee themselves?

Could it be that they really intend to face humanity’s most fierce nuclear weapon?

Thinking of this, the media bosses were all stunned.

The war reporters who heard their bosses’ inquiries were also all rendered speechless!

A human body resisting the power of a nuclear weapon of millions of tons?

It’s something that can’t even be imagined!

Although everyone knows the Ancestors are not normal humans but ones with incredible superpowers, almost like gods, resisting a nuclear bomb is still too damn exaggerated!

Why?

Because the temperature at the core of a nuclear weapon’s explosion can reach tens of millions of degrees Celsius!

Even if not at the explosion’s core, the average temperature can reach several thousand degrees.

Under such intense heat, any material on Earth would be instantly vaporized!

If it were just like this, it wouldn’t describe how terrifying nuclear weapons truly are.

Upon explosion, they also generate terrifying shock waves, radiation, electromagnetic pulses, and more.

It can be said that even the gods described in human mythology might not withstand a nuclear weapon’s explosion.

Let alone the Ancestors, regarded as ”close to” divine and probably not completely detached from carbon-based life forms.

Yet, this awe-inspiring being, clearly aware of the Old Ugly Consortium potentially launching nuclear weapons of millions of tons, still chose to stay in place.

Clearly, they are prepared to face the power of the nuclear bomb head-on!

How dare they?

Where does their confidence come from?

Media bosses and war reporters truly couldn’t believe it!

Could it be... the Ancestors truly have absolute confidence in withstanding a nuclear blast?

An incredible thought suddenly flashed through the minds of all media bosses and war reporters.

Upon birth, this thought gave each of them a huge fright, seeming unrealistic.

As long as you’re a creature, whether carbon-based or silicon-based, how could you withstand a nuclear weapon?

But... what if he really withstood it? How shocking would that be?
