Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 370: Chapter 326: Firepower Beyond Belief

Colin Hudson is the overall commander of this frontline operation.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that he’s only in his forties.

In reality, as the top combat commander of Black Water Company,

he has commanded very large-scale wars before.

For example, the once-famous Battle of Big Dumb Wood.

Black Water Company hired 180,000 mercenaries.

Out of which, 50,000 mercenaries were under Colin Hudson’s command.

This time, he received a daunting task.

That is to lead 30,000 mercenaries and by any means necessary, eliminate the over 100 hostages held by the Superpower.

It is well known that the Superpower is an extremely powerful being.

Although not known for long, their achievements are very sensational.

Even a powerful criminal group like Jalisco was completely wiped out by them in a short time.

Which is to say, their power is tremendously formidable.

At this moment, Colin Hudson feels a lot of pressure.

But as the saying goes, ”Man will die for wealth as birds will for food.”

Since he accepted this mission and came to the scene, he must complete the task at all costs.

At this time, orders from the remote command of Ugly Country came through the communication equipment.

After listening, Colin Hudson immediately picked up the communication device in the command vehicle and ordered: ”The 1st to 5th infantry regiments, approach from different angles, remember not to get within 500 meters of the Superpower, once within 800 meters, shoot indiscriminately.”

”Copy that!”

”Copy that!”

The response from each sub-command of the infantry regiments came quickly.

Each infantry regiment has 3,700 people.

Five infantry regiments total 18,500 people.

Each regiment is equipped with reconnaissance platoons, communication platoons, anti-tank mine platoons, guard platoons, and decontamination platoons, all armed.

Their weapons include pistols, submachine guns, semi-automatic rifles, carbines, 12.7mm caliber heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, etc.

In addition, each infantry regiment has one tank company, one heavy mortar company, one service company, and one medical company under its command.

For instance, each tank company has 148 personnel.

Equipped with 22 light tanks and light armored vehicles;

The heavy mortar company has 190 personnel.

Equipped with 12 106.7mm mortars.

One could say, the firepower of an infantry regiment is unbelievably powerful.

And now, they have a full five infantry regiments, enough to acknowledge the ferocity of their firepower.

Colin Hudson continued to order, ”Field artillery regiment, prepare for remote indiscriminate artillery bombardment. Do not stop without my command!”

”Copy that!”

”Copy that!”

Once again, responses came from the sub-commands.

The field artillery regiment is different from other combat units.

They have prepared a full 300 cannons of various types.

With firepower so fierce, it’s enough to fight a large-scale battle.

Colin Hudson remained expressionless, ”Land Air Corps, prepare for combat, dispatch all kinds of armed helicopters, unmanned combat drones, for indiscriminate strafing and bombing!”

”Copy that!”

”Copy that!”

The response also came from the Land Air Corps side.

Finally, seeing the arrangements were almost complete,

Colin Hudson’s gaze turned icy, and he shouted loudly into the communication device: ”Now! Launch the offensive!”

In the next moment, light tanks and armored vehicles began to emerge from the desert surroundings like bloodthirsty fangs!

...

On the other side, the press corps.

Douglas, Lu Guang, and others had just set up their filming equipment, eagerly anticipating.

Suddenly, the sound of tracks moving came from afar.

Then, over a hundred light tanks and armored vehicles emerged from all directions.

As these light tanks and armored vehicles appeared,

the front crowd surged like a tide, emerging from god knows where.

Some holding submachine guns.

Some setting up machine guns.

Others setting up sniper rifles.

And various types of artillery.

But that was not all, the sound of rotors overhead began to echo.

Douglas, Lu Guang, and others looked up towards the sky in shock.

The sight stunned all the war correspondents on the spot.

They saw one or two dozen armed helicopters, along with nearly a hundred small unmanned combat drones, overwhelming the sky, almost blocking out the sun!

All around were fully armed, perfectly aligned soldiers.

At a glance, there were at least ten to twenty thousand combat personnel!

Further away, two to three hundred cannons were already adjusted,

aiming directly at the position of the Superpower and the Morgan Clan members!

More than a hundred light tanks, light armored vehicles, sky-covering armed helicopters, and unmanned combat drones.

With such a luxurious configuration, they could easily wipe out a small country!

The reporters were shocked, exclaiming in disbelief!

”My God!”

”What kind of firepower is this?”

”At least ten or twenty thousand infantry combat units, plus two or three hundred cannons, along with tanks, armored vehicles, armed helicopters, and small unmanned combat drones. Are they really here to rescue hostages?”

”The firepower is so overwhelming, I wonder if Ancestor Man can withstand it.”

”Ancestor Man should be able to hold up, but the problem is, amidst this bombardment, what will happen to the Morgan Clan members around him?”

”Well, Ancestor Man was planning to wipe out the entire Morgan Clan, so if they are killed by artillery, is there anything wrong with that?”

”That’s not the point, Ancestor Man said he would annihilate the Morgan Clan tomorrow. If they’re killed now, doesn’t that prove Ancestor Man can’t fulfill his promise?”

”Could it be that these so-called rescue mercenary forces aren’t here to rescue anyone at all?”

The reporters were truly shocked by the mercenary firepower, exclaiming wildly in disbelief over there.

Unfortunately, they had barely shouted a few times when the infantry combat units at the front launched their attack. Their screams were completely drowned out by the sounds of gunfire and artillery!

Rat-a-tat-tat!

Rat-a-tat-tat!

A group of charging personnel were the first to fire the opening shots of this ”rescue” offensive and defensive battle!

The scene of tens of thousands of infantry combat units firing simultaneously can only be described as magnificent.

In almost an instant, tens of thousands of bullets formed a dense line of fire in the forward area.

Like raindrops, they poured down towards Ancestor Man and over a hundred Morgan Clan members in a mad sweep!

The sky was filled with the flying of metal bullets.

As dense as a swarm of locusts!

Douglas, Lu Guang, and others only saw the bullets descend like a sudden rainstorm.

The attacked Ancestor Man and the Morgan Clan members seemed so insignificant, as if they would be annihilated at any moment.

...

In the command room of the Ugly Country.

George, Steven Rockefeller III, Lady Koch Du Pont, Marcus Locke, and other tycoons from the consortium were watching the bullet rain assault on the screen, like an overwhelming swarm of locusts passing through.

None of them showed any expression.

As if what was on the screen wasn’t a storm of bullets, but a game.

In fact, they all knew that even with tens of thousands of bullets in a single volley, it was impossible to harm Ancestor Man.

Whether Ancestor Man could be harmed was not in their considerations at all.

George, Steven Rockefeller III, and Lady Koch Du Pont’s ultimate goal was to eliminate the hundred or more members of the Morgan Clan.

They wanted to see how Ancestor Man would protect the lives of the Morgan Clan members amidst tens of thousands of bullets!

This was only a single volley, with tens of thousands of bullets already.

The warriors would continue shooting recklessly.

It could amount to hundreds of thousands, even millions of bullets.

In George and Steven Rockefeller III’s minds, no matter how remarkable Ancestor Man’s defense was, he couldn’t withstand the simultaneous firing of hundreds of thousands, even a million bullets.

If Ancestor Man wanted to avoid being passively attacked, he would have to take the initiative to retaliate and eliminate those soldiers currently shooting.

But if he really did that, he would certainly be unable to protect the Morgan Clan members.

If Ancestor Man intended to protect the lives of the Morgan Clan members, he couldn’t eliminate so many soldiers from a great distance and would only endure passive attacks.

What does passive endurance mean?

It means that you might withstand thousands, even hundreds of thousands of bullets for a while, but you can’t withstand the subsequent two to three hundred artillery pieces, or the overwhelming assaults by armed helicopters and unmanned combat drones.

George, Steven Rockefeller III, and others believed in the ”law of conservation of energy.”

No matter how strong Ancestor Man was, under relentless bombardment, there would come a moment when his energy would be completely depleted.

Therefore, when they saw tens of thousands of warriors initiate a volley, they already felt victory was within their grasp.

After all, there was even more fierce firepower to follow.

And if necessary, they would unleash a more terrifying wave of attacks from the carrier battle group over there.

At that time, they didn’t rule out launching frighteningly powerful high-yield nuclear bombs from the carrier battle groups!

Victory!

We are destined to win this time!

George, Steven Rockefeller III, and the other consortium tycoons each felt victory within their grasp!

...

On the battlefield.

Lu Li had long used his keen perception and ”reconnaissance mode” to see every detail of these mercenary actions clearly.

When he heard the opposing commander announce the operation.

Lu Li immediately controlled the Morgan Clan members with higher life pheromones.

He issued an order preventing anyone from moving.

There was a purpose to this.

If anyone moved outside their range, they would be killed by the heavy bombardment.

Only by staying within Lu Li’s biological force field could the Morgan Clan members avoid disaster.

Normally, anyone seeing such overwhelming firepower would panic to some degree.

Therefore, Lu Li had to control these people with advanced life pheromones to prevent them from panicking.

Seeing the bullets coming like a swarm of locusts.

Lu Li stood firm on the desert sand, a slight smile appearing on his face, ”You really underestimate me, huh? Although I’m willing to play along with you guys because it’s not time yet, these volleys of assault rifle and machine gun bullets couldn’t even come near me, let alone break through my defense!”

Amused, Lu Li expanded the biological force field to its maximum.

In an instant, a white light flashed in the desert, enveloping Lu Li and over a hundred Morgan Clan members, as waves of bullets rained down on them from all directions.
