Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 360: Chapter 317: Invincible in This Era

The distance from Tijuana to Los Angeles is about two hundred and thirty kilometers.

Lu Li was about to spend a day with Julia Giannini.

He planned to use this two hundred and thirty kilometers to test the Biological Force Field.

Without hesitation, he soared up between the high-altitude clouds, flying at high speed.

Previously, at balanced energy levels, his flying speed could reach about two thousand one hundred and fifty meters per second, which is seven thousand seven hundred and forty kilometers per hour.

Now, he had become much stronger.

Lu Li felt that his flying speed should be faster.

He directly increased the speed to two thousand one hundred and fifty meters per second, without feeling any significant energy consumption.

”Let’s see how fast the ultimate flight speed is, and if it can reach the first cosmic velocity.”

Lu Li began to increase his speed.

With that thought, he passed through a cloud layer, gradually increasing his speed.

Three thousand meters per second, it felt effortless.

Three thousand five hundred meters per second, still no significant feeling.

Four thousand meters per second, the energy replenishment was still keeping up.

At four thousand two hundred meters per second, although the energy absorption speed was still keeping up with the consumption, it didn’t feel as relaxed as before.

At this point, Lu Li began to increase his speed more gradually, knowing he was nearing the limit.

Sure enough, when the speed reached four thousand three hundred meters per second, the consumption was about equal to the recovery rate.

Lu Li shrugged, ”Did I just double my speed exactly?”

Of course, this was the flight speed where energy consumption and absorption were balanced.

If he didn’t mind the consumption, he could fly even faster.

He could increase his speed by about one-third.

Lu Li calculated, ”At the ultimate flight speed, I should be able to reach five thousand seven hundred and thirty-four meters per second, just two point two kilometers short of the first cosmic velocity. Considering my current evolution speed, I should be able to achieve it before the fifth deep evolution.”

The ultimate speed is just slightly under Mach seventeen.

The normal speed isn’t that fast; maintaining equilibrium is about Mach twelve point six five.

”With such an advanced flying speed, no weapon in the world can pose a threat to me anymore.”

Lu Li realized that from this moment on, he was truly invincible.

In the currently known anti-missile systems.

Not a single one can intercept a missile traveling at ten Mach.

He could also alter the magnetic and force fields around him, becoming undetectable to radar and satellites.

It can be said that if Lu Li wished, the air defenses of any country on Earth would be useless, including the most powerful Bald Eagle.

Moreover, when his speed exceeded ten Mach, combined with super-high sensory abilities, even if someone launched a large-yield nuclear bomb at him, Lu Li could evade it with his super-high flying speed.

”By the middle of my third deep evolution, I already had some ability to counter nuclear weapons. Now, after the fourth deep evolution, I have evolved and strengthened significantly. I suppose even if I withstand a nuclear bomb, it won’t pose a deadly threat, though it would consume a lot of energy to withstand the explosion’s power.”

Lu Li felt incredibly delighted.

Now, there was no weapon on Earth to fear anymore!

He initially wanted to test how much the Biological Force Field and his physical body, those superhuman abilities, had enhanced.

Who would have thought, his flight speed was too fast.

In the mere tens of seconds while he was thinking, he had already arrived in Los Angeles.

Lu Li couldn’t help but be amazed, ”Only fifty-four seconds? This flight speed is insane!”

Forget it, since his internal energy isn’t fully replenished yet, he won’t test the effects of other super abilities.

Lu Li glanced towards the company where Julia Giannini was located.

He initiated his domain and teleported instantly.

...

In the office.

An all-nighter had left Julia Giannini looking very exhausted, with faint dark circles even appearing.

Lu Li appeared behind her and whispered, ”You didn’t sleep last night. Why not take half a day off to rest properly before coming to work?”

”Ah!” Julia Giannini was deep in thought and suddenly hearing a voice behind her startled her so much she nearly jumped out of her chair. But as soon as she recognized Lu Li’s voice, she immediately became delighted, stood up, turned around, and exclaimed with excitement, ”Darling, you’re finally here.”

Lu Li reached out to caress her face, ”Go back and rest now.”

Seeing his slightly dominating demeanor, Julia Giannini felt a surge of sweetness inside, lightly nodded, and said, ”Okay, I’ll get a leave from HR.”

Lu Li nodded, ”Alright.”

Julia Giannini turned around, picked up the phone on the desk, and dialed HR’s number, ”Annie, I’m not feeling well. I’ll be taking a day off today.”

A young woman’s voice came from the other end, ”Okay, Ms. Giannini.”

After hanging up, Julia Giannini picked up a small bag from the shelf beside her and proactively linked her arm with Lu Li’s, ”Shall we drive home now?”

Lu Li smiled, ”No need.”

Julia Giannini was taken aback, not understanding what he meant.

Before she could ask, it was as if there was a ripple in front of her eyes.

When Julia Giannini regained her vision, to her astonishment, she realized they had traveled tens of kilometers back to the villa’s bedroom!

...

In the bedroom.

Julia Giannini was momentarily stunned, seemingly still in disbelief.

Lu Li casually sat on the edge of the bed, raised his chin, and said, ”Go take a shower, clean yourself up. I’ll talk to you about something later.”
