Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 373: Chapter 329: Way Too Brutal

”The demon has descended!”

”Allah, please bless me!”

”Allah is the greatest. I am your most devout follower. Now that the demon has descended upon the world, please come and vanquish this demon!”

”Oh my, how can there be such a terrifying demon?”

”Over there, corpses are strewn everywhere, and rivers of blood are flowing.”

”Quick! We must leave here quickly!”

In the southern Sahara Desert, a group of Niger natives noticed the unusual scene and were utterly shocked.

Although these natives hadn’t seen much of the outside world, it didn’t mean they didn’t understand what a field full of corpses and rivers of blood meant.

Therefore, they all believed a demon had descended upon the world!

...

Online.

Compared to the huge commotion related to the Ancestor Man that circulated on the Ugly Country’s internet a few days ago, today was relatively peaceful.

After all, no matter how hot a topic is, there comes a day when it cools down.

People can’t discuss the Ancestor Man topic every day.

However, this harmony didn’t last long.

Around one or two in the morning Huaxia time, someone suddenly posted on Weibo.

”Extra! Extra! Shocking news! The Ancestor Man was spotted in the southern Sahara Desert engaging fiercely with nearly two to three thousand mercenaries! It’s said the Ancestor Man is unstoppable! Most of the mercenaries were killed or wounded on-site! It’s unbelievable!”

”Huh?”

”Whoa, my mind is blown!”

”Is it true or fake?”

”What? The Ancestor Man went to the Sahara Desert to cause trouble?”

”Geez, I thought the Ancestor Man was still flaunting his strength over at Old Ugly. I was wondering why it had been quiet for a few days, turns out he went over to the Sahara Desert for a fight?”

”Phew, what kind of shocking scene did he create in the Sahara Desert this time?”

”Blogger, quickly tell us what’s happening on-site!”

Immediately, that previously posting netizen uploaded a few pictures.

And used text to roughly explain the current situation on-site and the reason for the conflict.

From the direction of these photos, it looked like they were shot from a super long-distance viewpoint.

Which means, the photographic equipment is highly likely to be a drone or some other kind of aerospace imaging device.

The specific reason, the blogging whistleblower couldn’t say.

Only knowing that Ancestor Man, accompanied by about a hundred Caucasian men, women, and children, was surrounded by two to three thousand fully-armed, well-equipped mercenaries, and then a fierce battle unfolded.

As for the result of the collision, as shown in one of the pictures, the Ancestor Man and the hundred or so Caucasian men, women, and children were perfectly fine, while a large number of those mercenaries had already died or been injured.

The blogger speculated based on the footage that the number of mercenaries eliminated by Ancestor Man might be no less than ten thousand!

Many people, upon seeing this, shivered in fear.

”What?”

”Nearly ten thousand were killed?”

”Whoa, is Ancestor Man this brutal? Did he wipe out nearly ten thousand people in one go?”

”Wow, looking at it this way, Ancestor Man is truly devoid of humanity, to the extreme. Before, when he was exterminating members of the Jalisco Group, I could kind of understand since they were criminals and utterly heartless, but now Ancestor Man wiped out nearly ten thousand mercenaries? This is just too freaking ruthless, everyone better be savvy and stay clear of Ancestor Man, never provoke him!”

”Stay clear of Ancestor Man? Hell, do you even know who Ancestor Man is? As far as I know, no one worldwide has revealed Ancestor Man’s specific identity yet. Last time someone claimed it was Great God Lu Li, but it was proven false. How are we supposed to avoid him? But that said, Ancestor Man is indeed terrifyingly brutal, to just casually slaughter thousands of people. If I knew who he was, I’d definitely never provoke.”

”Who dares to provoke Ancestor Man? I don’t know what drugs these mercenaries took, but to even dare challenge Ancestor Man who can unleash the destructive power of a multi-million-ton nuclear weapon? They’re just seeking death!”

”Thankfully, Ancestor Man is over there in the Sahara Desert and not here, or I might have to find a basement to hide in.”

”Yeah, yeah, Ancestor Man is terrifying, just hearing his name now makes me feel uneasy.”

”So many armed mercenaries couldn’t stop Ancestor Man’s killing spree? Just thinking about it is terrifying, where are Ancestor Man’s limits?”

The topic was heating up!

Some even reached out to international netizens near the southern Sahara Desert to ask if such a thing really happened.

...

In the southern Sahara Desert, on the battlefield.

In the moment when Ancestor Man displayed his might, those mercenaries who were lucky to survive, aside from feeling fortunate, all instantly looked extremely grim.

This is the Ancestor Man?

Just like that, he unleashed such an astonishingly terrifying force?

These mercenaries had long heard about the illustrious reputation of Ancestor Man.

They also knew how incredibly challenging their mission was this time.

So they initially dispatched pocket-sized unmanned bomber drones to probe the ”strength” of the Ancestor’s people.

In the end, they saw the other party spewing out a massive amount of freezing breath, destroying forty to fifty pocket-sized unmanned bomber drones.

They thought they had figured out the normal ”attack range” of the Ancestor’s people and believed it wouldn’t exceed a distance of five hundred meters.

Only then did they receive orders, mustered the courage to invade the area within seven to eight hundred meters, and launched an intense shooting at the Ancestor’s people and the hundred or so members of the Morgan Clan.

Originally, this group of mercenaries had thought about it. If the volley didn’t work, they would immediately deploy three hundred artillery pieces. They were determined to anger the Ancestor’s people who were guarding the Morgan Clan members to the point that they would leave, thereby completing the mission.

What they never expected was that the Ancestor’s people never left the side of the Morgan Clan members, but relied on their bodies to emit a burst of red light, killing nearly ten thousand mercenaries.

Such a terrifying eruption of power truly shocked all the mercenaries.

Some mercenaries with smaller guts, who were still alive, were now so frightened they abandoned their helmets and armor, fleeing while crying for their fathers and mothers.

They had no courage left whatsoever to confront the Ancestor’s people again!

The mercenaries could run, but some people weren’t allowed to leave the scene even if they were to die on the battlefield.

That’s right; these people were none other than the commanders of these mercenaries.

For instance, their chief commander, Colin Hudson, was already trembling with fear.

Yet he still stayed firmly in the command vehicle, shouting and ordering the sub-commanders to stabilize the mercenaries’ emotions and prepare for the second round of confrontation.

They are mercenaries, and having chosen this line of work, they were already prepared to die on the battlefield. How could they possibly flee in defeat merely because the enemy was too formidable to believe?

If they dared to do so, who would dare give tasks in the future?

That would be cutting off their livelihood!

Colin Hudson took a deep breath and issued orders through the trembling voice on the communication device: ”Field Artillery Regiment, immediately activate three hundred artillery pieces! Land Air Corps, commence indiscriminate bombardment!”

...

On the other side.

Lu Li looked calmly at the severed limbs and wreckage that he had slaughtered, as if he had done something trivial.

Actually, the move just now, although the power it generated wasn’t significant for him, it consumed quite a lot of energy.

Most crucially, without those bullets as energy carriers, he might not have been able to create such a sensational scene, unless he utilized a superpower with even more destructive force.

The move he just used was very straightforward, which was to unleash the immense power within his body, attaching it to these bullets and blasting it in all directions.

This pure energy explosion actually wasn’t very powerful, and it also consumed a lot of energy.

”I was just experimenting to see how powerful it would be if I simply released energy,”

Lu Li observed the movements of the mercenaries and the carrier battle group, pondering secretly: ”The experiment results are out now. If I merely discharged energy from within, I reckon it could only cause destruction equivalent to three or four Little Boy-sized explosions, far inferior to the cohesion of ’volcanic ash’ subatomic particles or antimatter annihilation.”

This was estimated from the previous burst.

It was not to say that he had already expended all his internal energy.

In reality, the energy that Lu Li had just unleashed only accounted for about one-tenth of his total energy.

Of course, the eruption from discharging energy was nowhere near as strong as ”volcanic ash” subatomic particles, or antimatter, but it was relatively easy to control, allowing him to target many objectives and form intense attacks across various regions.

Which means, if he didn’t want to destroy a large area but just wanted to cause casualties to personnel within a particular area, this method was still quite suitable.

”But it’s only somewhat suitable, far inferior to using superpowers.”

These thoughts kept revolving in Lu Li’s mind, ”There’s nothing fun about fighting this group of mercenaries; their strength is too weak. Well then, I’ll just showcase a bit more strength now, and force those corporate carrier battle groups to come out as soon as possible, so I can have more fun.”

With this in mind, Lu Li’s gaze towards those mercenaries turned icy.

Since these mercenaries came onto the battlefield, they should be prepared for annihilation!

Lu Li took a deep breath, and the structure of his eyes began to change.

In the next moment, two extremely intense laser beams shot from his eyes, sweeping fiercely towards the rapidly maneuvering light tanks and light armored vehicle combat groups one to two kilometers away.

Instantly, whether the mercenaries on site, the reporters from afar, or the corporate moguls observing from across the ocean, all witnessed an astonishing scene.

Those two laser beams appeared just like small gamma rays.

Where they passed, the sand on the ground instantly vaporized!

The ground immediately had two deep grooves formed.

If the sand on the ground could be vaporized by the laser eye’s high temperature, what about those light tanks and light armored vehicles?

The light tanks and light armored vehicles were melted by the laser beams in an instant; neither their steel armor nor the personnel inside could withstand the horrifying high-temperature burning of the laser eyes and disappeared completely from view!

In just a short amount of time, before the mercenaries had time to react, the light tanks and armored vehicles were entirely wiped out by the laser beams emitted from the Ancestor’s people’s eyes!

The whole process didn’t exceed five seconds!

Lu Guang: ”...”

George: ”...”

Douglas and all other battlefield reporters: ”...”

Steven Rockefeller III and all corporate moguls: ”...”

Everyone was so shocked by the ceaseless terrifying techniques of the Ancestor’s people that they stood frozen on the spot!
