Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 362: Chapter 318: Ancestor Responds in Person

On the bed.

Beside him, Julia Giannini was exhausted and had fallen into a deep sleep.

Lu Li half-leaned against the headboard, reached out for his phone and dialed a number, ”Hello, Old Zhou?”

Zhou Jinming’s voice came from the other end, ”Mr. Lu, where are you?”

Lu Li said, ”I have some matters and might be out for a few days. By the way, do you still remember what I mentioned earlier?”

Zhou Jinming said, ”Which one?”

Lu Li said, ”The one where I asked you to send members of the Morgan Clan to a fixed location.”

Since discovering the opponent was a member of the Morgan Clan, Lu Li had been pondering this issue. It was true he had the ability to teleport and use the Biological Force Field to fly with people, but whether it was teleporting a hundred people or using the Biological Force Field to carry them through the air, it was all extremely energy-consuming.

He had already realized this when he swept across the fifty states of the Ugly Country overnight, carrying some members of the Morgan Clan.

If he truly used the Biological Force Field to carry about a hundred members of the Morgan Clan to Niger, he might exhaust himself completely by the time he got there.

Therefore, Lu Li definitely needed to think of some labor-saving ways, like having Zhou Jinming and others ”transport” them.

This way, he could not only make things easier but also have enough time to ensure the success of his plans.

Zhou Jinming immediately recalled, ”I remember, you hadn’t decided where to send the Morgan Clan members, you told us to wait for the notification. Have you decided where to send them now?”

Lu Li gave a grunt, ”How long do you estimate it would take to send them to the southern Sahara Desert in Niger?”

”Niger, that’s far.” Zhou Jinming calculated, ”Normally by plane, it would take more than twenty hours to get there. However, since the Morgan Clan members can’t appear publicly, they’ll need to fly some places, and go by water or land in others. This way, it might take a bit more time, I estimate, even if rushing with all effort, it will take four to five days.”

Lu Li calculated the time.

The harsh words he had previously said were that he would destroy them all within fifteen days.

When he arrived in the Ugly Country, five days had already passed.

Then he swept through fifty states, took the Morgan Clan members to Tijuana, and his own rest, took about three to four days.

Adding it all up, nine days had passed.

Meaning, there were only six days left until the deadline for his harsh words.

If Zhou Jinming and others could really deliver the Morgan Clan members to the designated place within four to five days, then time would be plenty.

Lu Li said, ”Hmm, four to five days seems about right. I’ll send the specific location over in a moment, call me once you reach Niger, I will try to get there before you arrive.”

Zhou Jinming said, ”Okay.”

After discussing some details, the two ended the call.

Lu Li casually placed the phone aside, still pondering in his mind about annihilating the entire Morgan Clan in six days.

His previous thought was that if the Mecha combat group drill was to physically intimidate countries worldwide, to demonstrate to world nations that he had the capability to indiscriminately launch destructive attacks on any country globally.

Then, annihilating the Morgan Clan was to intimidate the world on a ”soul level,” representing that he meant what he said, and if anyone was truly unafraid of death and dared to provoke and challenge him again, they could consider the Morgan Clan’s consequences.

Therefore, wiping out the Morgan Clan certainly couldn’t be done in secret, as it wouldn’t be intimidating that way.

Lu Li was contemplating how to let all countries in the world know about the process of annihilating the Morgan Clan members.

Actually, this matter is easy to resolve.

It’s just a matter of finding a few media outlets to leak the news.

The method is indeed simple, but not suitable for now.

The main reason is that he just recently offended a batch of media, and had a phone call with that top boss in the Ugly Country.

Firstly, offending a large number of media outlets.

The conflict between himself and Morgan Clan members had already stirred up globally, and the Bald Eagle had already intervened.

If he hadn’t offended the media, those outlets, seeing such sensational news, might have withstood the Bald Eagle’s pressure to report it all out.

Unfortunately, he had offended the media, so why would they ”face threats from both sides” and withstand pressure from the Bald Eagle for him?

Secondly, about the phone call with that top boss of the Bald Eagle.

The other party once stated that if they didn’t know where the Morgan Clan members were, fine.

If they did know, they would go all out to rescue them.

Although Lu Li wasn’t afraid of war, he didn’t want more people to be dragged into his conflict with the Morgan Clan.

For instance, those soldiers.

For instance, this event would take place in Niger.

If the outside world knew the exact time and location of the annihilation of the Morgan Clan members.

It’s likely thousands of soldiers and powerful heavy weapons would be dispatched to Niger.

When things really escalate, he would definitely kill those soldiers.

During this time, those soldiers might wield various powerful heavy weapons, potentially causing harm to Niger’s ordinary citizens.

After all, people need dignity just like trees need bark.

The Bald Eagle lost such big face domestically.

How could it be possible that knowing the location of the Morgan Clan members, they wouldn’t launch the fiercest rescue?

If they really didn’t conduct a rescue, they would become a global laughingstock, losing all deterrent power in the future.

Lu Li pondered for a little while and indeed found a balanced approach, ”At worst, I’ll release the news on the very last day, by then Old Ugly wanting to send people for rescue would be too late time-wise, given the distance of over nine thousand kilometers, trying to mobilize soldiers and weapons for ultra-long-distance flight, by the time they arrive, I would have already wiped out the Morgan Clan.”

Since the people would already be dead, there won’t be any rescue happening.

In this way, he would be true to his word.

Even Old Ugly could barely save some face.

No need for a violent war to break out.

And it wouldn’t drag more people in.

...

That’s what Lu Li thought.

However, things did not go as he wished.

Not even a day after Lu Li had finished a call with Zhou Jinming, someone noticed the situation, and news soon leaked.

Well, Zhou Jinming and the others were actually very careful.

When they left Mexico, they didn’t take a plane at all but went by water.

Logically, the water route is the most covert path, generally not likely to be discovered.

In fact, it was indeed so; this wasn’t discovered by ordinary people but captured by satellites.

After all, Lu Li wasn’t on the ship, and ordinary ships couldn’t achieve invisibility, so naturally, they were captured by satellites.

In fact, Zhou Jinming and the others were already captured by satellite the moment they left Mexico.

The reason why it took a day for it to leak out was entirely because something happened inside.

First, the information was sent to a top figure on Old Ugly’s side.

Upon seeing the footage, his face turned green.

Because he had previously talked with Lu Li on the phone, indicating that as long as no Morgan Clan members were found, the matter would be settled like that.

Now someone had sent their whereabouts, meaning he and his backing forces had to go rescue the Morgan Clan members?

This was akin to preparing for war with the Ancestor people!

So, that top figure from Old Ugly’s faction deliberately pretended not to know, as if he hadn’t received the information, trying to use the delaying tactic to let the matter pass.

But someone misunderstood and thought this top figure was quietly plotting, readying forces to fight to the death with the Ancestor people.

As a result, after a day, thinking the top figure was prepared, the person leaked the news.

A news story suddenly appeared.

The headline read: ”The Ancestor People Have Nowhere to Hide, Satellites Have Locked Their Exact Location!”

The content roughly said that satellites near the Mexican waters captured footage of Morgan Clan members being escorted onto a ship, among them several men and women, seemingly of Asian descent.

Therefore, this media outlet was very certain that one of these Asian individuals must be an Ancestor person.

As for what these Asian people looked like, the media did not disclose.

Presumably, this media was wary of the New York Times Building incident and didn’t dare to offend the Ancestor people too much, so it selectively ignored revealing photos of those Asian individuals.

There wasn’t anything too inflammatory in the content of the news.

However, once this news was reported, it still caused a significant stir worldwide.

”Huh?”

”Really?”

”The Ancestor people were captured by satellite?”

”How is that possible? Didn’t the Ancestor people previously sweep through the fifty states overnight without leaving a trace? How could they now be captured by satellites? I think this news is seventy or eighty percent false.”

”Right, if the Ancestor people really could be captured by satellite, they couldn’t possibly have taken the Morgan Clan members out of the Ugly Country. Fake news, definitely fake news!”

Some people simply didn’t believe the news.

But there were also some who thought the news was true.

”Just because the Ancestor people weren’t captured by satellite before doesn’t mean they never will be!”

”The above statement makes sense. Based on the several appearances of the Ancestor people, I think they might have two modes: combat mode and normal mode. In combat mode, satellite radar can’t detect their exact location, but in normal mode, they probably can be monitored by radar and satellites.”

”True, the Ancestor people can’t always be in combat mode; being captured is quite normal.”

These netizens made logical arguments, as if the Ancestor people had indeed been captured by satellite.

Because of the ongoing dispute, neither side of the netizens could convince the other, each thinking the other was talking nonsense.

In fact, everyone knew that determining the truth of this matter was quite easy: just ask either Old Ugly or the Ancestor people for verification.

Verifying this with Old Ugly was clearly impossible, as anyone would know.

Because everyone is clear on what this matter means for Old Ugly, it’s basically impossible to actually seek verification.

Doing so would only anger the other party, causing unnecessary trouble for oneself.

As for verifying with the Ancestor people, that was even more unthinkable.

The entire world still didn’t know the specific identity of the Ancestor people; how could anyone find them for verification?

Just when everyone thought this matter couldn’t be verified, a surprising event occurred.

Someone claiming to be one of the Ancestor people actually posted online publicly and responded to this matter!

Everyone knows the Ancestor people are ruthless.

Thus far, no one online has dared to impersonate the Ancestor people.

Now that someone appears under the banner of the Ancestor people to respond, it must mean one thing: this person truly is an Ancestor!

The Ancestor people responded to this?

Instantly, the whole world was paying attention!
