Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 352: Chapter 309: Sweeping Across 50 States (Part 3)

They could obviously analyze what was happening from Jenny’s reaction just now.

As expected, all those drivers had been mind-controlled by the Ancestors.

In other words, it’s highly likely that all members of the Morgan Clan have already been captured by the Ancestors!

This sent shivers down their spines. They never imagined that the Ancestors’ mind control didn’t have to be effective in person. It turned out that even if they left, they could still control others!

...

Suspecting that all bases had fallen, Christina and the others quickly reported the news out.

The first to receive the news was a top big shot.

When he heard Christina’s report, he was utterly stunned!

Complete sweep!

In just half a night, the Ancestors swept through all fifty states of the Ugly Country!

They nearly captured all members of the Morgan Clan in one fell swoop!

Although this was only Christina’s speculation at the moment, the big shot still cursed through the phone before urgently arranging people to search for those drivers to verify if things were indeed as bad as Christina suspected.

Soon, one call after another came in.

A young woman on the phone said in a panic, ”The Morgan Clan members here in Wyoming have all disappeared, and the drivers seem to have been subjected to some kind of spirit control. We’ve forcibly sent them to the hospital for treatment!”

The big shot was shocked to the core, nearly collapsing in disbelief.

Bad news came one after another.

Idaho brought news of a situation identical to Wyoming!

North Dakota was the same!

South Dakota was not spared!

Three states!

Ten states!

Every state reported back with utterly despairing news!

”Inner Lasca has fallen!”

”Kansas has fallen!”

”We... we’ve lost Illinois!”

Moments later, all forty-nine states reported extremely dire news, leaving only Texas saying all was normal.

Even though Texas was temporarily peaceful, that top big shot and others who received the news were already beyond shock.

Some were even trembling with fear.

Nobody expected the Ancestors to be even more terrifying than the Mecha battle group; not only were all kinds of high-tech devices unable to capture the Ancestors’ image, but they swept through forty-nine states in just over half a night!

This was undeniably frightening.

Even now, they haven’t found any trace of the Ancestors!

This means that if they wanted to assassinate someone, the whole world wouldn’t even notice!

Just as all the big shots were feeling utterly shocked and bitter, Texas once again sent news.

This time, the news first brought a wave of exhilaration, and then drove them to the peak of terror.

At first, Texas reported that they had discovered the Ancestors’ trace and even captured images of them glowing white, although the specific appearance wasn’t seen.

Upon hearing this news, all the big shots thought their monitoring equipment finally worked and could detect the Ancestors.

Who would’ve thought the Texas official’s next words were: ”The Ancestors kidnapped people right in front of us and stated they would execute all these people in eight days!”

At these words, all the big shots were nearly shocked into a swoon.

It turned out it wasn’t their monitoring equipment that discovered the Ancestors; it was the Ancestors who showed up voluntarily to inform them that they had captured all the Morgan Clan members and would grant these Morgan Clan members death at the appointed time!

The big shots, upon learning this, were all devastated. This time, their national effort to contend with the Ancestors ended in... total defeat!
