Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 361: Chapter 317: Unrivaled in This World (Part 2)

Julia Giannini blinked and asked, ”Are you talking about what happens in bed? Or... have you thought of a new position?”

Lu Li wiped his sweat, the woman in front of him was truly bold and unrestrained, ”It is indeed about what happens in bed, but not any new position or anything like that.”

Julia Giannini was curious, ”Then what do you want to talk about?”

Lu Li urged, ”Go take a shower first, we’ll talk later.”

Julia Giannini gave an ”Oh,” and began undressing right in front of Lu Li before walking into the bathroom next door.

Today, Lu Li came to see Julia Giannini, certainly not just for the simple pleasure of lovemaking.

If it were just for that, he wouldn’t have abandoned tracking John Chris Morgan’s whereabouts, as that matter was much more important.

His purpose for coming here today was to ask her to have a child with him.

Of course, Lu Li has always preferred mutual consent.

If Julia Giannini were to refuse later, he wouldn’t insist.

”Where has John Chris Morgan really hidden himself?”

Lu Li sat there pondering deeply, guessing where the other might be hiding.

Time ticked away, minute by minute.

About ten minutes later, the bathroom door opened from the inside.

Wrapped in a luxury bath towel, Julia Giannini came out, ”Darling, go and take a shower, I’ll wait for you on the bed.”

Lu Li now has the ability to keep himself clean, even without bathing he would be cleaner than anyone taking a bath.

But he habitually took a bath before doing certain things, so he didn’t refuse, stood up, and said, ”Okay, wait for me.”

Saying that, he walked towards the bathroom.

Suddenly, behind him, Julia Giannini seemed to think of something and called out, ”Darling.”

Lu Li, just reaching the bathroom edge, turned his head and asked, ”Baby, what’s up?”

Julia Giannini posed charmingly, half-lying on the bed, ”Do you remember when we talked about John Chris Morgan before?”

Lu Li didn’t think much at the time and answered casually, ”I remember.”

Julia Giannini showed a serious, reminiscent expression, ”After you left, I thought back carefully on the specific process of that meeting with him. I remember he casually mentioned an investment project. I’m not sure if it would help you find him.”

Lu Li paused by the bathroom door, ”What investment project?”

Julia Giannini replied, ”At the time, my father, while talking about investments with a drunken John Chris Morgan, heard him mention an ongoing investment in Niger, Africa. I found it strange, as Niger is a desert-covered country, extremely poor and backward, with constant civil wars and coups, many people struggle for a living. So why would John Chris Morgan invest in such a place? My father asked him this question, and John Chris Morgan seemed to sober up and stopped talking about it.”

Hmm?

Did he let something slip while drunk?

Lu Li couldn’t help but blink, wondering if John Chris Morgan might be hiding in Niger?

He thought this was quite possible.

Because he didn’t find any trace of him at the Morgan Clan’s secret base in Alaska.

Someone who doesn’t even trust his family members would surely hide in a place no one would expect.

Niger, as one of the poorest countries in Africa.

If John Chris Morgan really hid there.

Lu Li believed no one would guess it.

He contemplated, ”It seems John Chris Morgan might really be in Niger. I’ll activate ’investigation mode’ now to check it out.”

Thinking this, Lu Li quietly dispatched a ’fragment of consciousness’ from his ’true self’, leaving the place.

He had previously speculated that his ’investigation mode’ might reach between one percent to one-tenth the speed of light when he was in an awakened state.

Whether it could indeed reach this speed, he didn’t know before.

Since his body was asleep back then.

Now with his body awake, it was a good time to verify this guess.

Lu Li casually responded to Julia Giannini, then directly stepped into the bathroom.

He turned on the faucet, releasing hot water.

While showering, he observed the speed of ’investigation mode’.

Sure enough, as he was in his awakened state, the instruction transmission speed was incredibly fast.

Lu Li saw that in an instant, ’investigation mode’ had traveled nearly ten thousand kilometers, and he could already vaguely see Huaxia.

”Wow, is it really this fast?”

Lu Li was somewhat incredulous.

His previous speculation turned out to be true.

”Although it hasn’t reached a speed of one-tenth the speed of light, covering nearly ten thousand kilometers at once is about one-thirtieth the speed of light!”

This made him extremely excited.

However, after a brief excitement, Lu Li encountered a slight problem, ”Which direction is Niger?”

But it was only a minor issue.

He directed ’investigation mode’ to Jinghai, a coastal city in Huaxia.

Utilizing his ’regional omniscience’ ability, he searched for a map.

Soon, Lu Li showed a mildly exasperated smile, ”Turns out I went the wrong way. The distance from the Ugly Country to Niger is just over nine thousand kilometers, I could have gone straight there, but I ended up heading towards Huaxia.”

Luckily, Huaxia is not too far from Niger, just over nine thousand kilometers away as well.

Lu Li shifted his intention again, following the map’s guidance to direct ’investigation mode’ to Niamey, the capital of Niger.

He carefully searched the place, but did not find any trace of John Chris Morgan.

Well, Niger is a country primarily of black ethnicity.

John Chris Morgan, being a typical Caucasian, would be very noticeable.

If he were here, Lu Li would surely notice.

He didn’t rush, continued controlling ’investigation mode’ to expand the search area.

One city.

Three cities.

In no time, he had searched twenty to thirty provinces.

Still, he found no trace of John Chris Morgan.

Lu Li was somewhat puzzled, ”Could I have guessed wrong? Has John Chris Morgan not hidden in Niger?”

He did not give up, intending to search the entire Niger.

Soon, he had reached the southern part of the Sahara Desert.

Suddenly, while showering, Lu Li’s eyes widened, ”Found him!”

In ’investigation mode’, he saw John Chris Morgan hiding near the Sahara Desert, in a very deep cellar with harsh conditions.

The cellar was quite large, estimated to be around two hundred square meters.

But inside, aside from some water and food, a change of clothes, and a custom satellite phone, there was practically nothing else.

At this moment, John Chris Morgan appeared rather disheveled, with a very poor mental state, and his face showed an unusual pallor, as if he were unwell.

Seeing this, Lu Li couldn’t help but chuckle silently, shaking his head while reflecting, ”This guy really ended up in a bind, hiding in a cellar near the Sahara Desert to avoid me. It’s quite something.”

Who would have thought someone with wealth rivaling a nation would suffer such hardship because of fear of one person?

Having pinpointed John Chris Morgan’s location, Lu Li was no longer in a rush.

In great spirits, he hummed a little tune, turned off the faucet, and dried himself with a towel.

Wrapped in his towel, he went to the bedroom.

Lu Li climbed into bed, snuggling up to Julia Giannini.

Julia Giannini kissed him softly on the lips, ”Darling, what did you want to tell me?”

Lu Li gently stroked her hair and asked softly, ”Julia, although we haven’t been together very long, I’ve always had a special feeling for you. So, I want to ask if you’re willing to have a child with me?”

Julia Giannini gasped, a bit dumbfounded, ”Have a child so soon?”

Lu Li did not explain his reasons, he simply asked earnestly, ”Do you... want to?”

Julia Giannini hesitated a bit.

After all, having a child is a significant decision for anyone.

Lu Li didn’t rush her, simply held her and waited quietly for her response.

About a minute later, Julia Giannini slightly raised her head to look at Lu Li, seemingly having reached a decision, ”I... I’m willing to have a child with you!”
