Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 351: Chapter 309: Sweeping Through 50 States (Part 2)

Fearful of wasting time, he disregarded the energy expenditure and directly utilized the Biological Force Field to envelop the Morgan Clan members, heading to the next location, Brooklyn.

Brooklyn was next to New York, and even though he carried three or four Morgan Clan members, slowing down slightly, it didn’t delay him much.

It was almost identical to the situation in New York, with people gone and buildings empty.

Using the same method, Lu Li again found two Morgan Clan members fleeing in a Cadillac on the road.

Once more, he used mind control to easily take them away, then hurried to the next location, New Jersey.

With the passage of time, the number of Morgan Clan members he quietly captured increased.

Maine!

Delaware!

Maryland!

Pennsylvania!

In a short amount of time, Lu Li caught almost a dozen members of the Morgan Clan with a sweeping attitude.

Up to this point, he hadn’t encountered much trouble.

It wasn’t until he arrived in Colorado Springs that he almost failed to find where the Morgan Clan members had fled.

The main reason was that those Morgan Clan members were bold, showing signs of fleeing on the surface, but in reality, they hid inside a military base over six hundred meters underground at Cheyenne Mountain.

When Lu Li caught up with the vehicle faking an escape and discovered the situation, he immediately opened his field to the maximum, locating the hiding place of the Morgan Clan members, and, like before, captured them using mind control.

This near-miss made Lu Li more cautious in his subsequent searches for Morgan Clan members.

At the same time, he hastened his capture steps.

New Mexico lost!

Arizona lost!

California lost!

In the blink of an eye, Lu Li almost swept through fifty states, leaving only the southernmost Texas untouched.

During this time, he encountered considerable trouble.

Places like California and Oregon, being near the sea.

Those Morgan Clan members had already taken boats, escaping quite a distance.

Yet, he managed to catch up and detain them.

Hovering between the clouds, Lu Li glanced toward Texas with a sharp gaze.

Immediately, a surge of white light surrounded him, trailing a long light tail as he shot furiously south!

...

Command room.

Christina and a group of commanders were still tracing the signals.

So far, the red signal dots continued moving in various directions, showing no signs of stopping.

The young man breathed a sigh of relief, ”Looks like our plan worked, their ancestors have no idea we relocated the Morgan Clan members.”

Another balding white man in his fifties commented, ”Yes, each signal is on the move, nothing seems to have gone wrong.”

”Thankfully, we changed our strategy in time.”

”Yes, otherwise, the Morgan Clan members would have suffered tonight.”

”Haha, their ancestors wouldn’t have thought we’d pull this trick.”

The group of command personnel was very excited, believing that the shift in tactics had yielded results.

Christina did not join the discussion.

Her eyes remained fixed on the screen, watching those red signal dots.

Suddenly, Christina’s face changed dramatically, she said, ”No, something’s very wrong!”

The others, who had been discussing, froze and looked at her.

The young man asked in confusion, ”Boss, what’s wrong?”

Christina pointed at the red signal dot in Arizona, ”Arizona is close to the coast. By now, it’s been four or five hours since we relayed the message, they should have driven to the coast of California and sailed away, but look, the tracking signal is still flashing within Arizona’s boundaries, something must have happened there!”

Upon hearing this, the faces of the young man and the others changed abruptly.

They quickly glanced at those tracking signals, and as Christina said, many signals were just moving around within their respective states, with no intention of fleeing overseas!

This revelation left Christina unable to sit still, she shouted, ”Call immediately and find out what’s going on with those people!”

The young man immediately replied, ”I just called earlier, everything seemed normal, I’ll call again now!”

They weren’t fools, relying on only the signal dots; they must have called those drivers to confirm there were no unforeseen situations, only then did they sit there waiting, otherwise, they would have acted long ago.

But now, the movement of the signal dots appeared very strange, prompting another check to see if something had gone wrong.

The young man immediately dialed the phone of the driver responsible for transporting the Morgan Clan members out of Wisconsin.

Ring, ring ring.

The phone rang twice and was picked up.

The young man turned on the speaker and asked, ”Jenny, is Miss Morgan okay?”

Jenny replied calmly, ”Miss Morgan is fine, don’t worry, with me here, their ancestors couldn’t possibly catch anyone.”

Christina whispered from the side, ”Have him pass the phone to Miss Morgan to say a word.”

The young man did as instructed, asking Jenny to give the phone to Miss Morgan.

The next moment, Jenny said nothing and simply hung up with a click.

Seeing this, Christina was greatly shocked, utterly stunned as she fell to the ground, feeling completely despondent!

The young man and the other command personnel all felt an overwhelming bitterness.
