Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 364: Chapter 320: Is He the Ancestor?

Around noon.

Unlike the chaos online, the beach villa was very quiet.

Lu Li got up from bed leisurely, fully dressed, and headed downstairs without a care.

He had been thinking about how to let the outside world know about his actions.

He felt that if he leaked the information himself, the media might not be interested.

Who would have thought, Zhou Jinming and the others accidentally let the news slip, and it got captured by a satellite and spread out.

Seeing that the cat was out of the bag, Lu Li thought, why bother thinking anymore? Just openly admit it.

This made the decision for him, saving him from worrying about it.

As for whether Old Ugly would send people to rescue him later,

or what powerful weapons they might prepare,

and whether this would affect Niger,

Lu Li didn’t care about any of that.

The Sahara Desert, being the largest tropical desert in the world, covers most of Northern Africa and is extremely vast.

But inside and around it, the population is very sparse, primarily gathering around water sources.

Places like oases and other areas with groundwater or seasonal rivers.

Places like Morocco, Algeria, and Western Sahara have relatively more residents.

John Chris Morgan is hiding in the southern Sahara, where it is almost deserted.

Lu Li had previously used ”reconnaissance mode” to explore the environment there.

He found that within a fifty-kilometer radius of John Chris Morgan’s hideout, besides some peculiar desert animals, there was nothing else.

In short, if Old Ugly indeed sends people to rescue, and they end up fighting with him there, Lu Li could eliminate all those rescuers without any concern.

Yes, he barely considered those warriors taking part in the rescue.

I want to wipe out the entire Morgan Clan.

You come to stop me.

Do you expect me to consider your perspective?

Lu Li’s temper isn’t that good!

”Zhou Jinming and the others have been exposed, I need to deploy the ’reconnaissance mode’ to safeguard them. If anything happens, I can rush over immediately.”

Just as Lu Li came downstairs, from his ”true self,” he sent out a ”consciousness” to follow the traces of Zhou Jinming and the others.

...

Downstairs.

As soon as Lu Li came down, his gaze locked onto the middle-aged white lady on the sofa.

He came downstairs because he sensed someone had entered the house, specifically coming to check, and incidentally to make sure the person who entered didn’t disturb Julia Giannini’s sleep upstairs.

Just moments ago, Lu Li used some supernatural abilities to successfully make Julia Giannini pregnant.

Now, although Julia Giannini may not realize it, she is actually pregnant.

Lu Li naturally wanted to ensure the rest of the pregnant woman.

And make sure she gets the best prenatal care during her pregnancy.

The white lady in front of him has a few similarities with Julia Giannini.

It’s obvious that she must be a direct relative of Julia Giannini.

Either her sister or her mother.

Lu Li intended to have a good talk with this lady and the elderly man on the phone outside, ensuring they would take good care of his woman for the foreseeable future.

As for how long this foreseeable future would last, it was hard to say.

Generally speaking, the higher the order of beings, the more difficult it is for them to reproduce.

This difficulty usually falls into two categories.

The first is difficulty in conception.

The second is difficulty in giving birth and rearing.

For instance, elephants are among the few highly intelligent species that have a relatively hard time conceiving.

A female elephant typically takes four to five years to give birth once, with each pregnancy lasting one and a half to two years.

The reproductive process of elephants requires not only a long waiting and preparation period.

But also necessitates male elephants overcoming physiological challenges in a specific way.

These factors make elephant reproduction more complex and difficult compared to other animals.

Lu Li and Julia Giannini didn’t encounter the problem of difficulty in conception.

Therefore, he speculated that as a super high-order being, when combined with ordinary humans to reproduce, they would face the problem of difficulty in giving birth and rearing.

What is difficulty in giving birth and rearing?

For example.

It is indeed quite difficult for normal humans to reproduce.

It’s just that with modern medicine being advanced, it seems simple.

In reality, the difficulties in human reproduction are mainly due to a long pregnancy period, a difficult childbirth process, and a long growth cycle for human infants.

The long pregnancy cycle isn’t much to elaborate on, it generally takes over nine months.

Childbirth is difficult because the human head undergoes adaptive changes during development, leading to difficulties during birth as the legs fold and pass through the birth canal. This results in severe pain and risk during childbirth.

Finally, there’s the growth cycle. In a sense, all humans are ”premature babies.”

This is because a fetus is not fully mature at birth and still needs a period of external nurturing to adapt to life.

For example, foals and calves can walk within a few hours of birth, dolphins can swim at birth, and even chimpanzees, similar to humans, can cling tightly to their mothers as soon as they’re born.

Human infants, however, need over a year to develop these abilities.

The Swiss zoologist Adolf Portman proposed a concept called ”physiological prematurity,” referring to the idea that even if humans are born after forty-two weeks, they are, in fact, ”premature babies.”

He believed that humans would need to be carried for eighteen to twenty-one months to reach the maturity level of a chimpanzee infant.

Therefore, Lu Li considered that his descendants might not be born in just over nine months but could very well experience a three-year pregnancy like Nezha.

Of course, this three years is a figurative number; it could be three years, four years, or even four years, five years.

If this were the case, Julia Giannini’s pregnancy would undoubtedly become extremely arduous.

Of course, there’s another possibility: his descendants might still be born after just over nine months.

If that were the case, then the child would be extremely premature and would need very delicate care post-birth; otherwise, it would be extremely prone to suffer an early death.

Thinking about this, Lu Li sat down on the single sofa beside the lady and greeted her: ”Good afternoon, ma’am.”

The lady hadn’t heard any footsteps at all before seeing an incredibly handsome young Eastern man appear before her.

She was startled, ”Excuse me, who are you, and why are you in Julia’s room?”

Lu Li introduced himself: ”My name is Lu Li, and I’m Julia’s boyfriend. May I know how to address you?”

”You’re Julia’s boyfriend?” The lady was somewhat incredulous, her eyes revealing a peculiar look, ”Sir, you aren’t lying, are you?”

Lu Li chuckled, ”There’s nothing to lie about. I truly am her boyfriend.”

Upon receiving a definitive answer, the lady’s complexion changed dramatically; she stood up swiftly and somewhat hastily said, ”Sir, please hide quickly; it won’t be good if my husband sees you later.”

Lu Li didn’t move an inch, and calmly asked, ”Oh, what might not be good?”

The lady was extremely anxious and spoke rapidly, ”Let me first introduce myself. I’m Julia’s mother, Barbara Wells Giannini. Do you see the man outside the window on the phone? That’s my husband, Julia’s father, Henry Giannini. We’ve always known that Julia leans towards being a lesbian, but she promised us she’d marry into the Fager Clan, so we’ve been very permissive with her behavior. If Henry knew Julia had a normal boyfriend, he’d surely be furious and might even strip Julia of her inheritance. Sir, if you don’t want trouble or to hurt Julia, please leave quickly and don’t let my husband find you here.”

Generally, women in the Ugly Country take their husband’s surname after marriage.

In other words, Barbara Wells Giannini’s real name should be Barbara Wells, representing that she married into the Wells family.

Lu Li knew something about the Wells Clan.

This family is supposedly part of the California Consortium.

Moreover, the ”Fager” Clan mentioned by Barbara Wells Giannini is also similar.

Marriages are quite a common term in prestigious families.

Lu Li wasn’t surprised by this.

What surprised him was that Julia’s parents actually knew she was a lesbian.

Even so, they still wanted her to marry into the Fager Clan.

Moreover, she wouldn’t receive the inheritance.

This clearly shows the Giannini Clan intends to have a deeper ”fusion” with the Fager Clan.

This would be a significant matter for both the Giannini Clan and the Fager Clan.

In such situations, anyone stopping the marriage would surely face combined force from both families.

Most people who learned of this would probably be scared witless.

Lu Li wasn’t like most people; he wasn’t afraid at all and remained calmly seated on the sofa.

He softly said, ”Ma’am, let me make one thing clear: Julia will not marry anyone from any family; she’s my woman. Secondly, both the Giannini Clan and the Fager Clan don’t have the capacity to harm me or Julia. Lastly, when your husband comes in, I indeed need to have a good talk with him.”

Seeing Lu Li speak so ”arrogantly,” Barbara Wells Giannini’s face changed dramatically, thinking she had encountered some unscrupulous blackmailing thug.

She held her anger and gently tried to soothe him, ”Tell me how much money you need, and I’ll do my best to meet your demands, as long as the price is reasonable. But you really cannot let my husband see you, or else the consequences...”

The sentence was left unfinished.

Click.

The door was pushed open from the outside!

Barbara Wells Giannini quickly turned her head.

She saw her husband, Henry Giannini, looking over with a solemn expression.

It’s over!

Henry has discovered Julia’s ”wild man”!

Barbara Wells Giannini’s expression changed drastically, stepping forward to calm her husband and prevent him from raging.

She had already taken a step forward.

Unexpectedly, what happened next was something Barbara Wells Giannini didn’t anticipate!

Standing at the door, Henry Giannini was initially stunned upon seeing Lu Li. His face then turned pale, and with a woeful expression, he seemed terrified, stammering: ”Re... Respected Mr. Ancestor, our... Our Giannini family has never had any grievances with you, please... Please don’t do anything to our Giannini family!”

What?

He’s the legendary Mr. Ancestor?

Barbara Wells Giannini was dumbfounded, incredulously turning to look at Lu Li, unable to reconcile this seemingly genteel and extraordinarily handsome young man with the legendary ”demon” known as Mr. Ancestor!
