Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1338: Chapter 75: Reason and Maneuvers

A small medical spaceship arrived at the A19 highway where the incident occurred within minutes.

Amidst the spacecraft’s antigravity engine’s thundering roar, the emergency response team made their way through the thousands of flying cars jammed on the highway, finally spotting the convoy that had been attacked.

At the end of the traffic jam, dozens of flying cars lay haphazardly across the road. Two of them were still burning fiercely, sending up thick smoke. The high guardrails on both sides of the highway had been knocked out of shape, and a shocking bullet mark sliced across the highway. In the middle of several armored vehicles, dozens of soldiers had ripped open a large hole in the flying car almost turned into scrap metal. A girl was holding a blood-drenched Fatty, crying and waving frantically at the medical spaceship.

As the spaceship slowly landed to be level with the highway, the medical experts could not help but gasp when the bloodied patient was carried aboard.

The explosion nearly shredded this man, whose head and face were smeared with blood, making his features indistinguishable. One hand and one foot twisted grotesquely, and a large chunk of flesh was torn from his waist. The thirty-millimeter caliber machine gun of a fighter caused it. If the machine gun had aimed slightly off, there would have been a big hole in his abdomen.

The medical experts, having already received orders from above to do everything to save him, immediately sent the injured into the medical pod. Blood transfusion, nanorobot hemostasis, nerve repair, injections... Meanwhile, the spaceship took off promptly, heading toward the hospital.

Watching Fatty being sent into the medical pod, Margaret felt every ounce of strength drain completely away. She sat dumbly on the deck of the medical spaceship, allowing medical personnel beside her to examine her body.

No examination was needed; Margaret knew her entire body was intact except for some slight burns from the explosion. Because at the moment of the attack, that lecherous Fatty had used his body to shield her from everything without hesitation.

Who did it? Watching Fatty, who had completely lost consciousness in the medical pod’s life-sustaining fluid, Margaret slowly bent down, curled up, and tried hard to stop her body from trembling.

Minutes later, the spaceship landed on the helipad of Chuckna Army General Hospital, and dozens of medical staff who had been waiting swiftly sent Fatty into the hospital building.

Margaret refused the support of two nurses, standing up shakily.

When she got off the medical spaceship, two female officers in purple uniforms were already standing in front of Margaret.

Margaret gently brushed her blood-stained hair behind her ear and walked forward. The two female officers, holding a set of clean uniforms, tightly followed behind Margaret.

Before getting into her flying car, Margaret took the clothes and said mildly, ”Check!”

One female officer stood at attention and saluted, then turned to get into another flying car. The car hovered at its spot, then sped off in another direction, the wind from its rapid start blowing the nearby trees’ branches and leaves sharply to one side.

Walking into the spacious and luxurious flying car, Margaret declined the assistance offered by the other female officer accompanying her, and undressed herself from the blood-soaked uniform and skirt stuck to her body, pulled down her stockings, and removed her underwear. She moved slowly, as if engaged in a meticulous task.

”Don’t throw the clothes, just leave them here.”

Margaret said lightly, and gracefully walked to the foggy mirror of the car’s bathroom, tilting her head to look at her body.

In the mirror was a flawless nude, every curve exuding captivating allure. The dark red blood clung to her fair and smooth skin, bestowing a hint of devilish wickedness upon the girl’s sanctity.

Margaret’s boneless hand glided up from her leg, over her rounded and protruding rear, past her slender waist, and touched her full and erect breasts. After lingering on the nipple for a few seconds, a trace of cold, distant enchantment flickered in her eyes. Her hands continued upward, and the blood on her fingers was gently smeared on her lips.

Tying up her long, draped hair, Margaret silently turned around and walked into the bathroom.

”Annie, call the names according to the B-level list. Don’t leave out a single person.”

The voice emerging from the bathroom caused a solemn expression to appear on the beautiful, typically expressionless face of the female officer Annie standing quietly beside her.

As a representative of the core strength of the Hastings family and Margaret’s childhood companion who grew up like sisters, Annie knew that the angel-like girl in the bathroom had reverted to the ruthless witch she was years ago after this attack. Time always dulls memories.

However, only those who truly understand what happened back then, and know Margaret’s methods, know how miserable it will be to be her enemy.

Annie picked up the dedicated phone and dialed a number......

Though the attackers couldn’t be identified, it didn’t matter. For Margaret, she needed no evidence, nor confirmation or reason, only to know who should bear the anger now. With this call, Feiyang would be swept into an unimaginable storm of bloodshed.
