Chapter 1311: Chapter 59: Lofty Mountain Ranges (Part 3)

”The Jiepeng people are chasing fast.” Anthony peeked down the mountain, clicking his tongue. ”General, didn’t we just hit them too hard? Look at these bastards acting like they’re about to die!”

”Frustration...” Fatty sighed. ”I’ve finally understood a man’s suffering. Damn it, two or three is manageable, but when too many get involved, there’s never enough energy to go around.”

On the communication channel, a burst of understanding chuckles. Among them, the little kid’s crisp, childish voice sounded particularly mischievous.

Fatty looked around at the surroundings. This was the first mountain entering the range, not very high but quite steep. Standing on the ridge, the left was a cliff, the right had a mountain wall turning sharply for two hundred meters, leading to a slightly gentler slope. From there, through the forest on the slope, you could reach another peak. Beyond that was a river valley.

The Jiepeng people were closing in fast. If they ran as they were, it would be easy to expose themselves to the Jiepeng’s cannon as they went down the river valley. They had to delay the enemy’s advance here. This peak was perfect as a temporary sniping position.

”Lieutenant Colonel, you lead the others and go first.” Fatty cracked his knuckles loudly.

Mountain warfare was Master Fatty’s domain. To make it out alive, he had to exploit everything this mountainous terrain offered. Even if it was a desperate situation, even if he might end up leaving his life here, Master Fatty would use all the skills honed in sky-filling fire battles to mess with these Jiepeng people behind them until they were utterly exhausted and scattered!

”Yes, General.” Without the slightest hesitation or delay, Anthony gathered the warriors and left. This peak wasn’t high; if the Jiepeng encountered an attack, they could surround them from the other two sides. Here, they could only strike and retreat, definitely not hold their ground. Therefore, leaving regular warriors here would only trouble Major General Tian.

To Major General Tian, all the warriors had already held reverence so high it bordered on deification. His orders were only to be obeyed.

Nobody knew how much time was left on the countdown of life. But as long as they could follow General Fatty, take down a few more enemies, exchange a few more words with their comrades, share a few more jokes, and leave a trail of laughter in this world, it was enough!

The team had just vanished into the forest along the mountain slope when a tremendous explosion sounded behind them. Soon, intense cannon fire and explosions covered the entire peak.

Glancing at the smoke-filled, flying debris-covered peak, Anthony, the last in line, turned back, fiercely waved to the subconsciously halted warriors, and said hoarsely, ”Go!”

————

”Fourth Group, send two companies up the left, one company to the right, and loop through the valley; move fast.”

Vego’s fingers lightly tapped the armrest of his seat, his emotionless eyes coldly watching the swarming Jiepeng mecha and those few white figures leaping among the gunfire and smoke.

”Yes!” Came the voice of the Fourth Group Commander on the slightly disturbed communicator.

The mecha group covering the mountains was in commotion. Several mecha teams broke out of formation, rolling down the hill where the command mass was located, bypassing the tide-like attacking force, and rushing to the flanks of the opposing mountain headlong.

On the peak, the Jiepeng mecha at the forefront had already begun close combat with the white mecha at the peak. Amidst the swaying, all one could see were mecha bodies, dazzling fists, and saber lights.

Constantly, mecha turned into fireballs on the mountain summit, and mecha kept rolling down from the peak, knocking down companions behind them. The unlucky ones were directly kicked down the mountain, shattering upon impact with the ground amidst a deafening boom.

The battle, from the very start, was exceptionally brutal. Hundreds of Jiepeng mecha congregated in one place, desperately attacking the peak. In front of the ten white mechas, they were like waves crashing futilely against a reef.

”Such beautiful fireworks.” Vego watched the fierce fire on the mountain top, lightly tapping the armrest of his seat. This was perhaps his last time commanding the Jiepeng Empire’s elite armored division in battle. After this, he would vanish like the splendid light on the peak. When his epaulet was removed and he was sent to the military court, he would be lesser than even the lowest soldier of this unit.

”Increase the intensity of the attack!” He picked up the communicator, fiddling with it absentmindedly, and said casually, ”Do I need to teach you how to do it?”

”Yes, General!” There came the slightly anxious and panicked voice of the Second Group Commander over the communicator: ”No need, General!”

Before the channel switched, Vego heard the frantic shouting of the Second Group Commander. In the crowded mecha mass below the mountain, several dozen mechas charged out again, climbing the nearly seventy-degree steep slope along the flanks of the central attacking mass.

Vego watched for a while longer before losing interest. He leaned over, studying the terrain map of this mountainous area carefully.

This was his last command, whether angry or desperate. Nothing should disturb him. He needed to complete this revenge battle with calmness, thoroughness, and ruthlessness.

——————

”Goddamn it!”

Fatty furiously kicked a Jiepeng Spirit Cat down the mountain. ”Dare to use Monkey Stealing Peach in front of me!”

”Hahahahaha.” Laughter echoed over the communication channel.

The Caihua Sect Master, always known for his unscrupulous fighting style, had just narrowly escaped being harassed by a Jiepeng mecha attempting an ambush, an incident that quickly became Caihua Sect’s biggest news, no wonder Fatty was hopping mad.

Time ticked away, the fierce battle raging, and the Jiepeng mechas, risking their lives, charged wave after wave, endlessly.

Everyone faced attacks from at least seven or eight Jiepeng Mech Knights simultaneously.

In the short fight of a mere ten minutes, it’s unknown how many mecha remnants were scattered along the mountain peak and slope.

”General, how do you think my footwork is?” Baz was maneuvering across the mountain summit.

The mecha moved with incredible speed, weaving through the Jiepeng Mecha Group climbing the hill, delivering punches and kicks. Behind it, just a few meters away, was a cliff with sparse grass and shrubs. Its terrifying speed allowed it to dodge and maneuver in such a confined space, causing even the Jiepeng Mechanics, who were enemies, to feel a chill in their hearts.

However, Baz’s performance didn’t elicit the response he expected from Fatty.

”Hey, General....”

Just then, a loud ”boom!” echoed in his ear. Baz turned his head to look. He saw Fatty leap up, and the mecha rolled several times in the air, its mechanical legs twisting like an ancient helicopter falling out of control from the sky, tearing into the Mecha Group. Two Jiepeng Mechas were shredded to pieces under the horror of this attack.

The entire hill was filled with Fatty’s furious roar, ”How dare you use ’Monkey Stealing Peach’ in front of me!”

Baz shut his mouth.

The Jiepeng Mecha Group on the hill suddenly dispersed, as an Anubis Mecha and two Spirit Cats with golden patterns on their shoulders swiftly encircled Fatty.

The three mechas coordinated flawlessly, launching deadly attacks with lightning speed. Anubis charged straight from the front, aiming a kick at Fatty’s cockpit, while the two Spirit Cats flanked him. The one on the left was twisting its arms, clearly trying to grab Fatty’s right arm, while the one on the right lowered its body during a high-speed rush, sweeping towards the legs of Fatty’s mecha.

On the hilltop, the loudspeaker of nine white mechas simultaneously let out a long sigh.

Clearly, these three Advanced Mecha Warriors hidden within the Mecha Group had been waiting for their opportunity. But how could they walk into Fatty Commander’s rage?

At this time, Fatty was very brutal!

As expected, Fatty let out a sinister laugh and with lightning speed, kicked Anubis in front of him like a cannonball, sending it crashing into the Mecha Group behind, causing chaos.

Then, the white mecha pushed off the ground with its leg, executing a Thomas All-Round in midair, and while knocking down the Jiepeng Spirit Cat on the left trying to grab it, its hands had already grasped the shoulders of the Spirit Cat on the right performing the sweeping move...

Using leverage, it tucked its body, rolled, and landed.... At the moment the mecha landed behind the Spirit Cat, it swung its arms, still holding the shoulders. The dozens of tons of steel mecha was swung over the head like a windmill and then slammed into the Jiepeng Mecha Group in front. Two Jiepeng Mechas that couldn’t evade in time were smashed into scrap metal.

As the loud noise erupted, Fatty had already charged into the disorganized Mecha Group, swiftly punching the Anubis just getting up from the ground in the face.

The jackal head of the Anubis exploded. Before it could hit the ground again, the white mecha swept past it like a whirlwind, crashing into the denser Mecha Group behind.

One punch, two punches, three punches.... Fatty rampaged through the Mecha Group. His hand speed of 73 actions per second was pushed to the limit, and he integrated all the Mecha Martial Arts techniques into this simple advancement and punching. Without using the ion light saber hidden in his arms, he just swung each punch fiercely. With each punch, a Jiepeng Mecha was knocked away, destroyed.

Fatty’s wild advance stirred the blood of the Bandit Army War Gods.

The aloof Weiseler was the first to join the battle, followed by the other War Gods. The ten mechas, like ten steel blades, wrought a carnage of sky-filling blood and violence in the Mecha Group. No one could stand against these interlocking white mechas, their advance was so swift, so fierce, that in the blink of an eye, the ten mechas had broken through the hilltop and descended the hillside.

Countless mechas turned into fireballs in the wake of these ten slashing white lights, and the steep hillside was littered with Jiepeng Mechas tumbling down, with mecha debris shooting in all directions amidst explosions. Amidst the rising cries, the Jiepeng Mechas, whose performance and mechanical control technology was not at the same level, staggered and retreated.

At the foot of the mountain, silence reigned. Jiepeng Mecha Warriors scattered across the hill watched the ten rampaging white mechas, their eyes wide and full of disbelief and terror. When the most densely packed Mecha Group on the upper hillside was forcibly driven back in a panic, it sent a chill running from the spine to the top of every head.

Vego stared fixedly at the hilltop, his hands no longer tapping gently on the armrests, instead latching onto them with such force that his knuckles turned white.

”Come down, come down!” His face twisted with rage: ”A bit closer!”

On either side, the Fourth Group’s encircling detachment had already reached the mountain ridge from two other directions, moving to surround them in the center.

”Go!”

A loud shout resounded, and the ten white mechas suddenly reversed upward, and in the blink of an eye, they had reached the hilltop while the retreating Jiepeng Mecha Group, unable to stop their momentum, continued to collapse downward like an avalanche.

”Ah!!!” Vego roared in furious rage, jumping to his feet!

On the hill, the white mechas had already crossed over and disappeared from sight.

Vego watched the empty hilltop, the blue sky and white clouds beyond it, and the faintly visible Jiepeng Mechas on the ridge that still cluelessly charged towards the center, his eyes turning red.

Suddenly, Vego’s gaze locked. He saw a white figure reappear on the hilltop.

Fatty chuckled and flashed a middle finger at the foot of the mountain, then ran!
