Chapter 1337: Chapter 74: Ambushed

The military flying car sped along the highway of Hanjing City heading south. The vast city of Hanjing had already appeared before their eyes.

Looking south from the flying car, the horizon outside the window revealed the space cities towering like a line of giants standing shoulder to shoulder, obscuring the entire field of view. Behind the variously shaped space cities, the most famous Sky Curtain Tower of Hanjing could be vaguely seen.

The Sky Curtain Tower is a symbol of Hanjing, an iron tower reaching the sky, as high as 30,000 meters. Its silver-white tower body pierces the firmament like a sharp sword. The top of the tower, with branches spread like a tree crown, stretches out an arc-shaped, waterfall-like light net, enveloping the entire city of Hanjing within it.

Everyone who sees the Sky Curtain Tower will inevitably be mesmerized for a long time, sincerely marvelling at the greatness of human civilization.

Hanjing City is located on the Dragon Plain in the Eastern Hemisphere of Chuckna Star, hence it is also called Dragon City. When Chuckna Star was first discovered, the Dragon Plain was still a life-forbidden zone with chaotic turbulence hurricanes rampaging. It was not only uninhabitable but even aircraft couldn’t pass through these unpredictable turbulent flows.

This dragon-like turbulence is also the origin of the name Dragon Plain.

It wasn’t until a large amount of energy ore was discovered on the plains that people decided to conquer the Dragon Plains. The first group of residents was just a convoy of less than a thousand people. This convoy took a year to erect the base of the Sky Curtain Tower near the mining area and unfold the sky curtain. At that time, the Sky Curtain Tower was only a hundred meters high.

As more and more people settled on the plains, the Sky Curtain Tower also elevated section by section to its current height. Thus, every visitor to the Sky Curtain Tower can witness the history of Chuckna at different heights of the tower. It is also the history of human civilization constantly advancing from the ground towards the sky and the universe.

Hanjing is a city in the human world that, to date, has never experienced war fire.

However, the peace brought to this city does not mean complacency. Instead, the constant vigilance of the Chuckna people has turned this city into a solid fortress over more than two thousand years of management. Someone once speculated that conquering Chuckna Star might only take half a year with a hundred armored divisions, but it would take at least three years to breach this last fortress with the same forces!

Hanjing, the city of peace.

The vast convoy split into two at the highway bifurcation as they entered Hanjing City’s downtown area.

The large convoy carrying bandit army soldiers and Mechas headed to the Allied base in the southeast, while the flying car carrying Fatty turned onto the road leading to the city, escorted by several armored cars.

Highways, like colorful ribbons, stretch into the sky over a thousand meters high, winding like giant pythons, wrapping around the entire city tightly. Above the speeding flying car, countless passenger shuttles and private small flying vehicles crisscrossed, while large transport ships, resembling black clouds, occasionally roared by and landed far towards the hangars in the suburbs of Hanjing.

Fatty quietly watched the vast city outside the window, while Margaret seemed to be contemplatively looking at Fatty.

At this moment, Fatty was quiet. His eyes held a childlike innocence. He was using his soul to touch this city which has a population of nearly 200 million, covering an area of 400,000 square kilometers, like a giant dragon.

”I heard that Marshal Hastings has decided to equip the first batch of produced Thunderbolts for the bandit army?”

The flying car turned onto a mountainous road, with the mountain wall blocking the outside view and sunlight, darkening the vehicle cabin. Fatty turned his head to look at Margaret sitting beside him.

The sunlight, sprinkled through the gaps between tree shadows on the mountain slope, flickered through the car window. Margaret’s eyes, like clear spring water, made Fatty’s heart suddenly move.

The flying car quickly made a sharp turn and drove onto a straight suspension bridge. The hillside plummeted at the head of the bridge. Sunlight reentered through the window, and Margaret’s pale golden hair shimmered dreamily in the light, her white and delicate face adorned with a holy yet enchanting smile.

Fatty’s gaze wandered down her slender neck to her enticing Feiyang uniform that perfectly showcased her curvaceous figure. Her breathtakingly perfect peach-shaped bust, her slim and strong waist, and her round hips composed a blood-pumping devilish curve on the leather sofa.

Damn it, Fatty chewed on a cigar, striking the lighter several times before it lit. After not seeing her for over a month, this chick looked even more alluring. Tsk-tsk, I’m ready to sacrifice for the country!

”Thunderbolt is not yet complete...” Margaret, noticing Fatty’s admiring gaze, flashed a smug smile at the corners of her mouth: ”They are equipped for you because your technology can improve this Mecha.”

”Our technology?” Fatty furrowed his eyebrows, exhaled a puff of smoke, and put on a stern face, ”Cut it out!”

Margaret huffed in her heart; this damn Fatty could change his face as fast as turning a page, she was already used to it.

Her long, beautiful legs under her tube skirt gently lifted and crossed. She bent over and ran a delicate hand down her leg warmers, rubbing her slightly aching ankle, and glanced up faintly: ”Each Thunderbolt costs ten million Fei Yuan; are you paying for it yourself?”

”Money?” Fatty suddenly opened his mouth wide, dumbfounded. His eyes stared straight at the exquisite beauty’s collar that widened due to her bending over.

Inside the collar was a strip of white lace trim, beautifully framing a captivating chasm. Even this fleeting glimpse allowed Fatty’s gaze to trace down the lace and outline that pair of impeccably perfect shapes. Her skin was white, tender, and smooth like jade and satin. If it were fully exposed before him, how enthralling it would be.

Margaret seemed to notice Fatty’s roving eyes, her lips curling, while one hand continued to rub her ankle and the other gently pressing on the neckline.

”No money!” Fatty suddenly grew furious, ”Not a single penny!”

”If you don’t have money, trade your technology...” Margaret straightened up and looked at Fatty with a half-smile.

”No technology either!” Fatty became increasingly exasperated.

”Then this batch of Mechas will be prioritized for the Double-headed Eagle Unit.” Margaret said leisurely, ”The Feiyang Republic is not part of the Hastings family. Even if my grandfather is a Marshal, he can’t use national money to equip a unit unrelated to Feiyang.”

”Oh?” Fatty half-closed his eyes, ”The technology of the Twelfth Generation Mecha doesn’t seem to belong to Feiyang alone. Chuckna and Leray are both involved. It’s fine if we don’t get this batch of Mechas; anyway, the bandit army, if nothing else, has time. We’ll wait until we’re equipped with Mechas, and then we’ll confront Leefer.”

Watching Margaret glaring at him, biting her lips tightly, Fatty became even more smug: ”Maybe this time, Leefer has figured it out and will send us a batch of Mecha.”

”Fatty,” Margaret suddenly laughed and cursed, pounced on Fatty, grabbed his neck, and shouted: ”Did you come here on purpose to rip me off?”

The smooth and fragrant body squirming on his body made Fatty’s fire blaze up instantly. Although he kept reminding himself that Margaret, this witch, hadn’t matured yet, his hands were already involuntarily gliding across Margaret’s waist, falling onto her elastic, plump buttocks, followed by a mysterious pinch.

With a scream, Margaret’s body tensed up immediately, then softened like a fragrant snake, giving Fatty a seductive glare: ”Is my tofu tasty?”

Fatty nodded clumsily.

Margaret’s eyes flowed, reaching to close the window between the compartment and the cockpit, leaning close to Fatty, exhaling seductively: ”There’s a price to pay for eating my tofu.”

”What price?” Fatty inhaled Margaret’s aroma, feeling the warmth from her close proximity, his face full of intoxication.

”Share the technology,” Margaret’s lips already touched Fatty’s ear. Warm breath, like musk lan, drilled into Fatty’s ear, ”Or, I could go to Milan, Ann Lei, and complain to my father-in-law.”

Fatty laughed foolishly: ”Hehe, cut it out.”

Margaret swung a palm towards Fatty’s face but was caught by Fatty’s swift grasp. Fatty raised his brows teasingly at Margaret. That palm, not to mention Margaret didn’t use force, even if she did, how could it escape the grasp of Fatty, who was trained as a Special Soldier.

”No hitting the face,” Fatty comforted softly: ”If you feel cheated, I can let you pinch back.”

Margaret kicked Fatty fiercely, angrily turned her face away, ignoring him. In front of this Fatty, this sense of helpless defeat wasn’t a first for her.

With someone else, let alone such enticing flirting, just a seductive glance would probably make their bones go limp. Anything she wanted, they’d agree to. But this world’s most lecherous, shameless Fatty never fell for her charms. Worse yet, Fatty wanted to eat tofu without falling for the trap.

Outside, Hanjing City was gradually approaching.

A finger poked her back, Margaret huffily ignored it.

Then, her waist got poked, a tingling feeling made Margaret quickly turn her head. She saw Fatty biting his left hand, his right hand with a finger extended, hesitatingly gazing at her rear.

Margaret’s head swirled with anger, about to speak, but saw Fatty’s face suddenly change, lunging at her.

This lunge used all of Fatty’s strength. Margaret only felt her body completely covered by Fatty, her back hitting the floor of the compartment, painfully. Before she could react, there was a loud explosion, the world spun, the entire flying car suddenly lifted into the air midst a violent explosion, spinning several circles, landing in the middle of the street, sliding towards a segment of flying highway.

Countless sparks flew and splattered amid the friction.

The sudden incident threw the entire street into chaos. Numerous flying cars, unable to brake and swerve in time, crashed into each other, successive explosion fireballs soared skyward.

The armored vehicles following in front and back quickly stopped, blocking the road. Several guards under Margaret’s command opened the doors, desperately running towards the burning flying car.

But before they reached, a flood of energy bullets descended from the sky, drawing a straight line, sweeping across the flying car sliding toward the highway’s guardrail. The ground debris, flying car wreckage, like raindrops splashing in a pond during a storm.

Whoosh......

When a fighter jet streaked across the sky, swiftly vanishing behind the tall form of Space City, the bulletproof military flying cars had already become a pile of scrap metal.

Fatty lay in the car covered in blood, Margaret crawled out from under Fatty, while covering Fatty’s wound, frantically kicked the car door.

No.1 Airport, the welcoming ceremony had ended, Faset glanced at the time, expressionless, he walked towards his flying car.
