Chapter 1331: Chapter 71: Port

Chuckna Star No.1 Airport Pier No.2 was already bustling with people.

Due to the arrival of the second round of reinforcements from the Feiyang Alliance Army, many high-ranking officials and generals from the Chuckna military and government were present. The journalists with their long and short cameras were packed densely in the interview area on one side of the pier, while outside, countless people held flowers and banners of welcome. Looking around, all you could see were throngs of moving heads.

The pier had been completely cleared, and all other warships docked there had been relocated to other berths since six in the morning. To welcome the arrival of the Feiyang Alliance Army, No.1 Airport had been entirely redecorated. In the coming days, it would also welcome forces from the Silliac Federation and the stationed Allied forces in Aksa.

It was said that even the bandit army from Mars was coming.

Above the silver streamlined port hall, a huge virtual screen was displaying footage of the fleet slowly entering the port. The honor guard had already formed two long columns on the central road of the straight berth. The tall and handsome honor guard officers wore Chuckna’s special white uniforms, standing silently in front of every berth, holding long spears, gazing straight ahead, unmoving.

People were anxiously anticipating.

As the war progressed to now, all countries had reached a critical point. The Resk Battle concerned the ownership of the entire Southeast Star Domain, and this batch of reinforcements from the Feiyang Republic could be considered the elite.

Feiyang Army 31st Army.

This army comprised four armored divisions: the 310th, 311th, 312th, and 313th. These divisions were the core force of the Leefer Legion, held in high regard by the Fei Alliance populace. They were also the direct troops of ”Little Leefer” Faset.

Feiyang 6th Army.

This army included three divisions: the Feiyang 18th, 19th, and 22nd Armored Divisions. These were the elite divisions of the Feiyang Army, and the 6th Army was a seasoned elite force of Feiyang, once directly led by Hastings. Their level of excellence surpassed even the 31st Army.

Feiyang Double-headed Eagle Unit 2nd Division.

Although merely a division, the majority of people present were here for this unit. If Sobel’s Night Army was the national defense force of the Binart Empire, then the mysterious Double-headed Eagle Unit of Feiyang was the stabilizer of this nation!

The Double-headed Eagle Unit operated independently of the Fei Alliance Army and the interstellar naval system, forming its own army. It possessed six group fleets, ten special-level armored divisions, and twenty level 1 armored divisions, with extremely powerful combat capabilities. The soldiers in this army were carefully selected from hundreds of millions of Feiyang soldiers, and their ships, Mecha, and weapons were the most advanced products of Feiyang, far ahead of ordinary troops. Particularly, the ten special-level armored divisions had an annual military budget comparable to the total defense budget of a small nation.

Since its formation thirty years ago, the Double-headed Eagle Unit had made few moves, but every move resulted in a major victory. Whether in assault or defense, this unit displayed astonishing abilities. Because the Double-headed Eagle Unit was personally formed by Hastings, it was also considered his core loyal force.

This time, although only one armored division came, it was a rare opportunity for both the Chuckna military and the public to observe this mysterious unit up close.

Besides the above-mentioned units, an additional six Feiyang armored divisions arrived this time. To the ordinary citizens, these six armored divisions might not seem noteworthy, but to those in the know, their arrival signaled something unusual.

Feiyang Republic Army’s 86th Armored Division, 102nd Armored Division, 117th Armored Division, 210 Armored Division, Feiyang Space Marine Corps 35th Ace Division, and the 66th Armored Division.

These units, originally from different military districts, were temporarily drawn together to form Feiyang’s newly established 39th Army, dispatched to Chuckna for only one reason: these six divisions had participated in the Gazalin Mezrich Battle. When attacking Jiacuo, it was the bandit army led by Major General of Leray, Tian Xingjian, that provided cover!

After the Gazalin Battle, these six armored divisions, along with Douglas, returned home to rest until today, when they once again set foot on the battlefield. The implications of this are profound indeed.

On the pier, people continually turned their heads to look at the large screen.

Amidst the ubiquitous camera lenses in the port, the Feiyang Space Navy’s giant transport ship had left the large group of warships outside the port and was slowly entering. Due to the speed restrictions and scheduling within the airport, it would take a few minutes to reach Pier No.2 from the port.

In the crowd, some girls were chatting and giggling, blushing occasionally as they pointed at a small group of Feiyang officers by the pier. Many civilians also directed their gaze towards these Feiyang officers.

Anyone who had watched the recent TV special on Feiyang Great Generals would recognize, at the front of this small team of officers, the tall, slender young man with long, flowing dark-gold hair was Daniel Faset, a renowned Feiyang General known as Little Leefer, idolized by countless young people!

Faset stood quietly on the pier. His features were slightly larger than average, giving him an appearance of strong determination, though his chin was somewhat longer and more square, adding to his cold and stubborn look.

Behind him, over a dozen Feiyang officers stood like spears. This small group stood quietly on the open pier, forming a stark contrast with the noisy crowd, naturally exuding a chilliness that belonged to military personnel. Their military appearance and posture were impeccable, making the Chuckna honor guard seem inferior in comparison.

The sound of the admiration of love-struck girls and the murmured praises of the crowd reached his ears. Faset’s aloof face grew even colder. His sharp eyes showed no emotional fluctuation whatsoever.

The admiration of the girls and the praises of the crowd could not bring him the slightest vanity. To him, these civilians were merely a group of bored onlookers.

Glancing at the time, Faset took a deep breath, calming his somewhat racing heartbeat.

Dismissing the annoying buzzing of the crowd as irrelevant, Faset noticed his state of mind seemed to have fluctuated. Standing on this pier, countless thoughts came unrestrained.

Now, Admiral Leefer had caused the Naga Federation to retreat step by step. The renown of the Leefer Legion had spread across the universe from Catalonia Planet. Now, Faset, too, was about to lead his own troops and embark on his path to fame.

The 31st Army was destined to make a name for itself in the Resk Battle.

No matter who the opponent is, no matter what the Military God intended when allowing Admiral Leefer to seek the involvement of the 31st Army in the Resk Battle, regardless of how the indifferent public behind me evaluates this, none of it matters. What’s important is that my meticulously trained troops finally have the chance to soar high!

From the corner of his eye, Faset glanced at Margaret standing not far away with the senior officials of the Chuckna Military.

This time, not only has Margaret arrived at Chuckna, but even Hastings has come. It is said that their arrival is connected to the self-proclaimed bandit army.

Bandit army... A cold smile appeared at the corner of Faset’s mouth.

He truly wanted to see what kind of army this was, composed of criminals from Mars, that would make Hastings decide to equip them with the newly developed Twelfth Generation Mecha.

This matter has already sparked a media outcry domestically. Someone leaked the information implying that Margaret has an ambiguous relationship with the Major General of Leray. Hastings’ move is seen as a means to secure benefits for the future of the Hastings family.

Among the high-ranking officials, Margaret stood, her smile charming and dazzling.

Faset’s mouth turned downwards slightly with a cold snort.

He genuinely did not take the future successor of the Hastings lineage seriously. In his view, a woman’s place was at home, supporting her husband and raising children. War is a man’s domain. Women’s inherent psychological traits destined them to be incapable of becoming great military strategists or leaders whom countless soldiers would follow without hesitation.

The era following Hastings is already destined to be Admiral Leefer’s era. It is destined to be the era of soldiers like themselves who are wholly dedicated to this war. In war, there should be no women, nor any so-called democracy. What soldiers need is just one voice.

A voice that leads them to victory.

Leefer’s voice!

In the future Resk Battlefield, let myself and the 31st Army demonstrate to everyone what a true soldier is, what genuine war is!

Suddenly, a burst of intense cheering erupted in the ears.

Faset looked closely and frowned. In the middle of the vast, endless airway, eight Feiyang Giant Transport Ships were slowly approaching. Strangely, among these giant ships, four large transport ships appeared like children among adults, crowded together. Following at the rear was a Chuckna Cruiser, trailing leisurely.

Seemingly sensing something amiss, the cheers from the crowd quickly quieted down, turning into a buzz of whispered discussions.

For the ceremony welcoming the Feiyang Republic reinforcements, unexpectedly, there was another fleet jockeying for position. Such an occurrence would be explosive news. This kind of thing has never happened during a welcoming ceremony for a superpower like the Feiyang Republic, not even for smaller nations.

Undoubtedly, this is an outright severe diplomatic incident.

Among the welcoming ranks, several high-ranking officials from the Chuckna military and government had their faces darkened immediately. Around them, the units tasked with vigilance responded with urgent orders. Outside the airway, several guard ships sped towards us. The chief officer of No.1 Airport standing next to them was sweating profusely, continuously growling angrily into the phone.

As the warships turned and headed toward the berth, the bows of the four large transport ships at the center revealed their insignia previously obstructed by the giant transport ships.

People stared dumbly at this emblem that they had never seen before. At the top of the emblem was a diving eagle with outspread wings, in the middle was a shield-shaped ”bandit” character, flanked on either side by two mecha supporting the shield, and at the bottom was the familiar pirate skull symbol.

Bandit army?!

In the dead silence, the four large transport ships obstinately stopped outside the pier, securely blocking the giant transport ships behind them. Moments later, the Chuckna Cruiser trailing behind them slowly moved through the narrow passage purposefully opened between the large transport ships and docked at the pier.

The hatch opened, and a Fatty smilingly leaped out of the cabin.

”Wow, so many people are here to welcome me.”

Before the wide-eyed and astonished crowd, the Fatty bashfully commented, ”How embarrassing, such a nuisance!”
