Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1334: Chapter 72: Ceremony_3

If before, the bandit army was still staying in the Longbow Star System, far away from the battleground between the Hastings family and Leefer, then now, when they are here, when Hastings specially came to Hanjing to meet bandit army leader Tian Xingjian and decided to prioritize equipping the bandit army with the first batch of Twelfth Generation Mecha, they have already met the 31st Army head-on.

Even if both sides won’t fight to the death at such a place and such a time, the confrontation concerning honor, reputation, and the signals released to others around them is absolutely unavoidable.

One can imagine when these bandit army bastards stand in front of the 31st Army’s Transport Ship, or when this supposed welcome ceremony for Feiyang turns into a bandit army welcome ceremony, how strongly Vice Admiral Faset, who has stood alone to the side all along, would react.

The toughness of the Leefer Legion is well-known. Even if the Feiyang forces inside the other Transport Ships behind him are the Hastings’ direct descendants, even if Margaret and many allied high-ranking officers are here, even if that Fatty is not someone easy to bully, Admiral Faset will still unhesitatingly confront them.

This is the courage and confidence as a General, and the dominance a mature army should possess. Moreover, the 31st Army is the Leefer Legion’s army! Hastings is not dead yet, Leefer already dares to confront directly. Called Little Leefer, Faset couldn’t possibly back down in front of the bandit army and Margaret.

All Chuckna high-ranking officers wished they could make this welcome ceremony disappear, turn the honor guard back to the barracks.

It’s important to note that the honor guard officer waiting at the berth’s central road entrance is just one person. Whoever he accompanies, that person is the main character of this welcome ceremony. There is only one main character, so the other must inevitably be the neglected one. Without this ceremony, at least everyone could happily go up, shake hands and exchange pleasantries. Use the host’s enthusiasm to create harmony, rather than standing here, foolishly watching the intense emotions on both sides.

Seeing Fatty sending flying kisses and waving towards her, Margaret couldn’t help but smile and hurriedly walked to Fatty’s side.

”Why are you here at this time?” Margaret glanced at Fatty, her eyes immediately moved to the girl beside Fatty. Just by looking at the distance between the girl and Fatty, the clothes the girl wore, and the gentle gaze towards Fatty, Margaret knew this was Fatty’s biggest reason for risking his life to Canglang Star — Milan.

When equally beautiful women meet, there is either an inexplicable hostility or a peculiar sense of kinship. Like a delicate orchid, Milan has an obvious charm that a girl inexperienced in worldly matters wouldn’t possess amidst her purity. Almost at first sight, Margaret liked Milan.

The two girls exchanged slight smiles, then heard Fatty angrily say, ”What do you mean, can’t I come here?”

”Idiot,” Margaret glared hard at Fatty, ”You should’ve come quietly if you must, why crash this welcome ceremony?”

”Master Fatty is happy,” Fatty sneered, turning to glance at the nearby Faset, ”That guy has been staring at me for a long time, is he that Little Leefer?”

Milan and Margaret simultaneously nodded.

Margaret surprisedly asked Milan, ”You know him too?”

”Of course I know him,” Milan gave Fatty a disdainful look, ”That guy is trying to court his childhood sweetheart.”

”Childhood sweetheart?” Margaret looked at Fatty with a half-smile and held Milan’s hand, ”You must be Milan, I’m Margaret. You can call me Maggie if you want.”

Milan looked at Margaret’s pale golden hair and the breathtakingly beautiful face, sharply realizing the relationship between this girl and Fatty isn’t that simple. Because when Margaret approached Fatty to speak, she didn’t use any form of address, and her gaze towards Fatty was particularly distinct.

”Nice to meet you, Maggie,” Milan’s pure face showed a gentle smile, but her fingers had subtly placed themselves on Fatty’s waist. This dead Fatty, always flirting everywhere, needs to be sorted out, or he’d have long forgotten my prowess!

Just as her fingers twisted the flesh, Margaret faintly spoke, ”This Fatty went to Canglang Star to save you, I’ve always been curious about the girl who could make this coward so reckless, turns out you’re so beautiful.”

While speaking, Margaret’s eyes frequently glanced at Fatty, her subtle gaze was obvious to anyone.

Milan, who was just jealous of Ann Lei, instantly beamed with joy, her grip lightened significantly. After the twist, she even bit her lip and secretly rubbed Fatty’s waist.

Fatty hung his head miserably, allowing Milan’s poison hand without daring to utter a sound. He could only change the subject, speaking to Margaret, ”Why can he come and I can’t? Is the Leefer Legion so remarkable? Just looking at his cold dead face, Master Fatty gets angry. Just one look, and you know this guy is sinister, lazy, and dirty...”

The two girls exchanged looks, feeling somewhat helpless. This vengeful Fatty was obviously finding excuses, his true reason probably lay with his childhood sweetheart. Luckily Ann Lei isn’t here, if she were, things would get lively.

”Quite interesting.” Watching the dead Fatty stubbornly linger not far from the honor guard, Admiral Faset sneered slightly, muttering to himself.
