Counterfeit Hero

Their research focus is—Transformed People!

Since the control system cannot prevent damage to the human brain, they decided to make the human brain indestructible!

This shocking research involved removing the entire skull of the subjects and using modern medical and mechanical electronic technologies to combine a computer, a human brain, a special metal enhancement device, and an interface system—that being can hardly be called human anymore!

Once such research is exposed, it will be the end of the Tai Sect. Not only is it a betrayal of the Mechanical Sect, but also a betrayal of humanity!

Kubo initially thought that with such a secret collaboration, the Binart Empire would support him no matter what. But who knew, since the war started, the contact from the Binart Empire not only did not offer support, but the signals he continuously sent out received no response.

Currently, Tai Sect only occupies Thames Port, half of Xianlong Port, and a small part of Infantry Port. In the battle for Central City, Tai Sect has been completely suppressed by the Absolute Kill and Mountain Breaker sects. Besides retaining a small territory in the Northern Industrial Zone and two adjacent large areas, the other forces have been pushed out of the central district.

At this pace, the Tai Sect will be the first to be eliminated!

As he was feeling lost and helpless, suddenly, the command room door was pushed open violently. Nakagawa Daiki, holding an electronic document with a serious expression, walked swiftly towards Kubo.

Kubo stopped in his tracks, staring fixedly at Nakagawa Daiki who had been attempting to establish contact with Binart.

”I’ve made contact! As a sign of their support, the Binart Empire will send someone to assist us!” Nakagawa Daiki’s tone was peculiar.

”Are they sending troops?” Kubo was stunned, unsure whether to be surprised or delighted.

”No troops, only one person!” Nakagawa Daiki replied.

”One person?!” Kubo couldn’t believe his ears.

”Yes, one person. An experimental subject!” Nakagawa Daiki handed over the communication record in his hand and said slowly, ”They are merely continuing their experiment!”

Fatty was intently watching the Mecha long-range viewer screen, observing the unknown Mecha unit.

Their numbers increased from one hundred to nearly a thousand, along with the addition of almost a regiment of infantry. These fiery red Mecha continued to linger at the outskirts of Puluo Town, maintaining a distance of over thirty kilometers from the Bandit Army Mecha.

Although there was still a defense area formed by local small commerce groups in Puluo Town, who had hired mercenaries, Fatty knew that this force was coming for him!

The hidden forces of the Western Alliance on this planet had finally made their move. And Fatty, who was flaunting the Fei Alliance banner to deceive them, was their primary target.

”Their forces include an armored regiment and an infantry regiment. Judging by their current formation, they should be targeting the local commerce group alliance.” Markovich, standing next to Fatty, reported, ”I have observed their actions—clean and efficient. The Mecha team naturally forms fixed formations while marching, keeping standard distances. It’s clear they’ve undergone prolonged and rigorous military training.”

”So...” Fatty continued to observe through the long-range viewer, his gaze resting on the chest cannons of the red Mecha and several protrusions across their bodies. He casually asked, ”What’s your suggestion?”

”Avoid facing them head-on!” Markovich’s response was brisk. As the commander of the Bandit Army’s ground armored forces, he currently had a total of only around one hundred and twenty Mechas, including the seventy newly arrived in batches from the port on the Audrey.

Moreover, the newly integrated New Tai Sect and Phantom Stream Knights had yet to meet combat standards. Besides, most of their Mechas were private Mechas without adequate combat capability—what happened on First Avenue back then seemed more like a farce in his eyes.

War is not a game! This time, their enemy was clearly not simple. Avoiding a direct confrontation was the most rational choice for a commander.

Fatty remained silent for a while before asking, ”What if we must fight?”

”A bloody battle! Break them apart one by one!” Markovich’s response was even more decisive and powerful than before. He didn’t question the overwhelming odds, not even once.

Since the first command was given by this Fatty from the Blue Rose, he never doubted a single word from this Federation Hero. It was the most devout admiration and obedience. When Fatty laughed heartily while pointing at the pirate statue cast from Californium Metal in the Redbeard Base, this admiration and obedience had already turned into a trust of life and death.

To outsiders, Leray seemed close to its end. The idea of reviving Leray through the control of the Mars Free World by these few hundred soldiers seemed like a pipe dream.

It all seemed laughable.

But to Markovich and all the Leray Warriors, they still held a thread of hope. If this was a joke, then they were proud to be gathered by this Don Quixote-like joke! They were incredibly proud to be part of this joke!

Even if they failed, even if they died, they would still honor their ancestors on the land of Leray!

What made them prouder was that the current bandit army was a united and formidable elite force!

Those who hadn’t stayed at the Redbeard Pirate Base wouldn’t know what kind of tempering they had undergone, what kind of Mechas they piloted, or what kind of resolve they had—no matter if there were more than a thousand Mechas in front of them, even if there were ten thousand, they would still charge ahead without hesitation.
