Counterfeit Hero

Especially for many small factions similar to Phantom Stream and New Tai Sect, currently overwhelmed by the surrounding situation, this sudden announcement naturally attracted their great interest.

But it was just interest.

The competition and core forces’ natural vigilance among factions for thousands of years suffice to keep such interest only at the observation stage.

At this time, it’s still better to shrink into their own defense zones and await changes in the situation. Any rash move could bring about a catastrophe. Who knows when this newly established mutual aid alliance will be wiped out?

Phantom Stream, joining forces with those guys who split from Tai Sect? Isn’t this a narrow escape from an enemy?

Fatty was so angry that his nose was skewed.

In the open-air training ground, five training mechas were severely damaged, and hundreds of Phantom Stream and New Tai Sect disciples had bruised and swollen faces.

Even Sankey, Weii Jianshan, and the three elders of Phantom Stream were glaring at each other like fighting cocks.

Under the flag of the bandit army, the disciples of the two factions were incompatible as fire and water!

Although these disciples of New Tai Sect are fundamentally different from the Kubo Group, after all, they have been part of Tai Sect for so many years, doing bad things like bullying other factions wasn’t rare. There were quite a few grudges between the disciples of the two factions.

Therefore, the first concentrated training became a brawl.

It began with two mech knights who held grudges since the mecha level assessment arena deviating from the normal attack range during attack and defense practice, the more they fought, the angrier they got, which turned into a fight. Then, the disciples of the two factions, who had long been glaring at each other, swarmed up and started a massive fight.

Punches and kicks flew on both sides. If it weren’t for Markovich leading the bandit soldiers to intervene in time, who knows what these young people would have ended up like.

How could Fatty not be angry?

Just a few minutes ago, he was hiding in a room smirking while holding the roster.

There are currently sixteen hundred mech knights from New Tai Sect and Phantom Stream at the Puluo Branch. Among them, four hundred seventy mechanical warriors, eighty-six mechanical knights, twelve mechanical commanders, and one mechanical god! With just a little training, this could become a cutting-edge force coveted even by superpowers like Feiyang and Binart!

One must know that a mechanical warrior is equivalent to a sixth-level mecha warrior in the army. This is still the most rudimentary comparison! Their value isn’t in their level but in their understanding and control skills in close-combat mecha fighting, as well as the foundations laid by their years of continuous training!

In this era, mecha combat is transitioning from long-range to close-range.

The competitive contradiction between Energy Cannons and energy shields has reached its end. In the absence of weapons capable of replacing the energy series, a mecha equipped with an Energy Cannon needs at least five to six consecutive shots to kill a mecha with a similarly rated energy shield.

And with the advancement of electronic interference technology, as mecha power and movement systems become more advanced and mecha speed increases, the efficiency of long-range attacks is gradually declining.

An example of this can be seen in the Mythical Army of the past.

Using ripple-style cross cover, high-speed irregular evasion, and the neutralizing and recovery capabilities of energy shields, the mecha warriors of the Mythical Army, when charging against long-range artillery, could even achieve zero casualties. And once they engaged in close combat, energy shields were useless.

Long-range attacks require several consecutive shots, whereas close-combat can be lethal with a single strike. Such disparity can quickly lead to the collapse of most Mechanical Armor Groups.

Therefore, countries aware of the transformation in mecha combat are not only enhancing mechas’ long-range attack capabilities in their research and development but are also focusing more on close-combat capabilities centered on maneuverability and speed.

The emergence of ninth and tenth generation mechas has already established the framework for new mecha warfare, suppressing long-range with close-range raids.

Mechas can be developed, but mecha warriors with strong close-combat capabilities can’t be accumulated in a short time. That requires long-term training! Furthermore, due to the years of neglect in close-combat, most national armored units’ close-combat training levels still linger on clutching the ”Mechanical Control Standards.”

Millions of human mecha warriors worldwide merely practice simple close-combat control techniques like progressive punches and side spins following the technical requirements and data in the standards. Those proficient in techniques like Jumping Through are considered outstanding.

But for these mech knights of Phantom Stream and New Tai Sect, this is simply effortless.

Not to mention the three hundred-plus mechanical warriors, even the outer disciples who are still mechanical soldiers have devoted years to practicing close-combat skills! The foundation they have laid in control, compared to ordinary military mecha warriors, is worlds apart! Just a little guidance, and they would instantly become gods of war on the battlefield.

What they lack is merely the control of long-range weapons, understanding of war, and a bloody aura.

With the help of mechanical fire control systems and mechanical computer-assisted control systems, long-range weapons are easily mastered by ordinary mecha warriors, let alone these seasoned mecha control experts. Fatty is not worried about this at all.

Understanding war, evolving from rookie to battle-hardened veteran, requires tempering in the fire and blood of combat! For these youths, who grew up under the law of the jungle, where fighting and battling to the death are common, it is merely a blood-forging process.
