Counterfeit Hero

However, rankings do not represent strength.

For the leaders of the various armed forces under the Northern Commerce Alliance, Blood-colored Mercenary Army, Blood Wing Fleet, and the even more mysterious Blood Shadow Mecha Group, are far superior to the number one ranked armed forces of the Free World.

They know that these three forces are Selwal’s most trusted and relied upon core strength.

As the foundation for the rejuvenation of the Nademick Dynasty, Selwal has spared no effort in building these three forces. The strong capital strength of the Northern Alliance, and the elite seeds accumulated by the descendants of the Nademick Dynasty over centuries, were all poured into the construction of the three armed forces.

For many years, they have been lurking, dispersed within the spiderweb-like routes of Mars, undergoing rigorous secret training. Every warrior is absolutely elite!

More importantly, sixty percent of the junior officers in these three forces had served in various national armies. These individuals, arranged by the Nademick Dynasty Revival Association, had infiltrated national military systems many years ago. Some were advanced mecha warriors from the Binart Empire’s ace division, some were special soldiers from the Jiepeng Empire. Many had risen to the rank of lieutenant, and could be found from combat sequences to logistics, command to intelligence.

Upon retirement, they drifted to the Free Star System for various reasons, becoming the backbone of the three core armed units of the Northern Commerce Alliance.

In this regard, Selwal had indeed planned far ahead.

Therefore, whether it is Blood-colored Mercenary Army, Blood Wing Fleet, or Blood Shadow Mecha Group, they are absolutely incomparable with the ordinary armed forces of the Free World. They are the true formidable soldiers, who not only look down upon other armed forces of the Free World, but also rarely regard the regular forces of various countries.

They have integrated the essence accumulated by elite units of various nations over centuries. Such an armed force is undoubtedly terrifying.

The skyscraper-lined Greenland Avenue in Puluo Town is now deserted.

As the dense and heavy sound of mechas advancing approached, the ground and the glass windows of the buildings trembled violently. A few seconds later, a giant command mecha, akin to a steel ladybug, stopped slowly at the intersection of Greenland Avenue, surrounded by dozens of fiery red combat mechas.

As the command mecha halted, dozens of combat mechas dispersed silently and swiftly, forming a circular defensive formation, precise and brief in action, without the slightest waste of time.

A moment later, the heavy hatch of the command mecha opened, and a tall, stern-faced middle-aged officer stepped out, accompanied by a few fully armed guards.

Olds Coder, the commander of the First Armored Assault Group of the Blood-colored Mercenary Army.

Looking at the desolate and silent Greenland Avenue, Coder snorted coldly.

As a descendant of the Nademick Dynasty Imperial Guard, Coder had served in the Binart Empire Army’s Ace 6th Armored Division. Starting as a lowly soldier, he climbed his way up to the rank of lieutenant platoon leader. Later, he was selected into the special assault battalion, gaining a reputation for his resolute execution and ruthless killing in regional conflicts.

No enemy could stand in his way. Every opponent before him was crushed with his most forceful stance.

He did not care about casualties, gave no quarter to the enemy, and took no prisoners. These were Coder’s three principles.

After ten years of service, by the time he received the transfer order from the Nademick Restoration Society, he had already become the commander of the First Regiment of the Binart Empire’s Ace 6th Armored Division.

Under the arrangement of the Restoration Society, Coder eventually made his way to the Mars Free World, full of ambition. He originally thought that with his qualifications, there would be no problem for him to become the commander of the Blood Shadow Mecha Group. But unexpectedly, he was assigned to the Blood-colored Mercenary Army as the commander of the First Armored Assault Group.

This difference still rankles Coder to this day.

Though both were commanders, the position of the Blood Shadow Mecha Group commander and that of the Blood-colored Mercenary Army commander were worlds apart.

Although the Blood Shadow Mecha Group’s name suggests it is only a regiment-sized unit, it is actually a purely armored force composed of the most elite mecha warriors, with nine full battalions, three times the size of a regular armored regiment.

The motley Blood-colored Mercenary Army, by contrast, is considered a second-rate force within the Northern Alliance. This largest group comprises six fully mechanized infantry regiments, an armed fleet, a logistics transportation regiment, and two mecha regiments. Coder’s First Armored Assault Group is just one of them.

Since his appointment, Coder has harbored a hard resolve. He wants to show those idiots in the Blood Shadow Mecha Group that only he can forge an indomitable armored force!

After years of relentless preparation and harsh training, the current First Armored Assault Group of 1,200 mecha warriors is now a tide of wolves and tigers, unstoppable by anything in their path.

However, Coder did not expect that even after all this waiting, when the war in Mars Free Port finally broke out, the First Armored Assault Group was still not regarded as the main force of the Northern Alliance.

While the Blood Shadow Mecha Group was stationed outside Central City, facing off directly against the Northern Alliance’s greatest threat, the Longxing Association, his assignment was merely to eliminate a small sect branch in Puluo Town. The first mission for the First Armored Assault Group on the path to rejuvenating the Nademick Dynasty was in such a desolate place!

Looking again at the electric order personally signed by Selwal, Coder’s already expressionless face grew even colder.

Selwal’s order was to completely annihilate all active forces affiliated with the Tai Sect Puluo Branch.

And Coder’s understanding of this was:

Leave no one alive!
