Counterfeit Hero

This scheme might deceive some ordinary young people, but in front of Fatty, the three of them only felt their faces turning red.

”Of course...” Fatty’s natural talent for manipulation and his silver tongue were things that three elders who had spent their lives studying Mecha Fighting couldn’t fathom. At this moment, he casually said, ”For Mecha Fighting techniques to advance, the key lies in communication. Hoarding skills is truly pointless. Actually, I really want to share this set of techniques with everyone, and not just this set...” He quickly moved his hands over virtual control sticks and keyboards, his right hand fingers tapping continuously, making a control gesture, and then continued, ”And other core techniques from various schools... But I’m not the Tai Sect Master, passing on such techniques would seem somewhat illegitimate.”

Ever since watching a few Demon King level challenges of the Tai Sect at the Redbeard Pirate Base, Fatty had locked himself in his room and watched all the fighting data collected by Barbarossa. In these video materials, Fatty was pleasantly surprised to find that the techniques of folk Mecha Fighting schools mostly didn’t deviate from the Mecha Martial Arts he had learned. No matter what moves these schools displayed, he could quickly imitate and execute the controls.

Moreover, the Seventy-two Moves secret martial arts manual he had learned had something additional compared to these school techniques. That was the data calculations regarding circuits, positions, power, and speed when evolving from barehanded fighting to mecha control.

For example, the same Tai Sect’s close-quarter side kick, based on the opponent’s position, speed, and posture, he could quickly determine the timing, connecting moves, and stepping positions to make the kick more precise and cause higher damage. In contrast, the ordinary folk Mecha Fighting schools had just rigid routines. No matter the opponent’s position, they would always kick the same way.

Weii Jianshan stared fixedly at Fatty’s hand, mimicking Fatty’s actions and imagining Mecha offense and defense. Suddenly, he jumped up in surprise and exclaimed, ”This is... this is... the Berkshire School’s Heart Blade!”

Geoffrey and Sankey stood up upon hearing this, staring wide-eyed at Fatty. No wonder they were surprised. A year ago, this small school named after its founding Sect Master was precisely challenged and destroyed by Monroe from the Tai Sect. Berkshire died in battle, and the small school, which had only been established for ten years, vanished.

Berkshire dared to establish his school at Freeport because of this move, the Heart Blade. Several times, mech knights who came to challenge him were defeated when his mech’s right hand inexplicably curved towards his own heart and made a critical strike, breaking the mech cockpit and leading to their bitter defeat.

No matter how people examined it, they couldn’t figure out how Berkshire’s originally expansive palm strike could suddenly unleash power right at the moment it retracted to the chest. The return force and the short distance from the chest strike made it very difficult to break through the mech’s critical defenses.

Initially, it was to obtain this move that Kubo ordered Monroe to challenge him at Demon King level. If not for using other means to make Berkshire apprehensive, and if not for Monroe carefully studying Berkshire’s fighting style and relying on tight and rapid continuous attacks, he might not have escaped this move.

Ultimately, with Berkshire committing suicide, the Heart Blade became a legendary move. All major schools had studied it, but no one figured out the control secret. Though it was just one move, it was too famous. Even if many schools had deadlier moves, the unattainable was always coveted.

Unexpectedly, Fatty casually displayed the controlling method of this move! Allowing Weii Jianshan to see it clearly without any concern. With Weii Jianshan’s expertise in mecha, he only needed a moment of focused thought to understand the trick. Realizing the key point of this move made him incredibly joyful.

After the joy, the three elders looked at Fatty with different eyes. Fatty dared to bet that if these three were released now, they might take the risk and do something to him.

”I have many such techniques...” Fatty picked up the teapot, poured tea for the three, and smiled.

The three elders exchanged glances, feeling a mixture of difficulty and undeniable temptation.

These techniques were incredibly tempting for folk mech knights, representing the very foundation of many schools! However, considering Fatty’s Fei Alliance identity, and the perilous path he was on, it seemed even riskier than the one Kubo took.

The Leray Federation is now struggling to survive.

”Actually, there’s no need to rush into a decision now...” Fatty’s peripheral vision caught Helen anxiously peeking from the bedroom door, and he blinked, saying, ”Recently, Freeport has been very unstable. In the next two days, many unexpected things are likely to happen. Let’s wait and see. In any case, I won’t let the core elites of the Tai Sect sacrifice in vain. What needs to be taught, what needs to be protected, I am well aware.”

The three elders looked at Fatty blankly, all sighing inwardly. They knew this was Fatty’s promise. A chaotic situation had already been set in motion and couldn’t be stopped. They were merely a few traditional mech knights, unable to stir up much trouble. They now had to either leave Freeport or choose between Fatty and Kubo.
