Counterfeit Hero

”Good!” Hamilton vigorously clenched his fist. Every time Tian Xingjian was mentioned, he would always feel various hopes for victory. This hero he deliberately shaped had already become a spiritual pillar in his heart. The artificial intelligence, Divine’s blueprints, all of these were brought to Leray by that Fatty. He sincerely hoped that one day, this Fatty who was currently wandering in the Free World would bring another miracle to the Federation.

Thinking of Fatty, Hamilton asked, ”By the way, what is the current stage of the Seed Plan implementation?”

”All major departments have issued withdrawal plans, and preliminary preparations are currently being made! Once the situation deteriorates, they will be evacuated in batches to the Little Pyrenees, detouring through Knevel into Ryan Republic.” Russell said, ”The Seed Plan’s unit formation has been completed, and they are currently gathering in the Free Star System. After the initial withdrawal, they will escort the later units to break through the blockade line and retreat toward Chuckna Republic.”

”Make the preparations more thorough.” Hamilton reminded, then suddenly fell silent. After a long while, he lamented, ”Three years of war have ultimately led to this result. For the people who were conquered, we are all sinners... Do everything you can to resist! Make every enemy who enters the Central Leray Star Domain pay a heavy price!”

Standing up, Hamilton gazed at the vast free territory north of the Leray border on the interstellar map, murmuring, ”I hope that when we leave our homeland, leave the Southeast Star Domain, everything we are doing now will bring us the dawn of victory.”

****************************************

One hundred and twenty Training Mechas, thirty Guard Mechas, and fifty Heng Dao were neatly lined up in the spacious open-air training ground behind the Tai Sect Branch building.

In front of the forest-like mechas was a neat formation of Mech Knights.

Tian Xingjian stood quietly in front of the formation.

Geoffrey, Sankey, and Long Jianshan stood behind him.

It took only two minutes to reach an agreement. Then, all the disciples under the three elders became members of the bandit army.

Everything was within Fatty’s expectations.

The only thing that surprised him a little was the attitude of these disciples towards the harsh battle they were about to face.

To describe it as eager and enthusiastic would be quite accurate, Fatty believed. He never thought that these young civilian Mech Knights would be so eager to join an army of the mainstream human world.

Gradually, more Mech Knights arrived at the Tai Sect Branch, joining this silent group.

”This is just a wandering army.” Fatty stared directly at Weiseler, a young man a few years younger than himself who he knew. In the Tai Sect Branch, he ranked just after Monroe. He and another disciple named Baz were direct disciples of Weii Jianshan and leaders of these young people.

”Not just us, even Leray is currently under siege by the Western Alliance.” Fatty was somewhat puzzled, ”Such an army from a nation, you are willing to join?”

”War always has victories and defeats.” Weiseler said flatly, ”I would love to join the Western Alliance army, but unfortunately, my position and stance have already severed that path. Now, you only need to tell us, if we fight courageously, if we accumulate military achievements, do we have the qualification and possibility to become officers in a mainstream society’s army, to have everything that others can have?”

Fatty was silent. He looked at the dozens of bandit army Mecha soldiers standing behind Markovich. Among them, more than half were former members of the Redbeard Pirates.

These members knew the answer to the question. However, they still looked at him with expectant eyes.

Fatty suddenly understood everything.

Whether they were pirates or Tai Sect Mech Knights, many of them had lost the qualification to return to the mainstream human world from birth. The isolation and restriction of the Free World by the Human Supreme Council forced these young people to live in such a brutal world.

They were exiles.

If given the chance, they wouldn’t mind exchanging their lives and blood for an identity and a peaceful life.

Fatty felt that his previous understanding of them was somewhat biased.

The Free World, the rule is survival of the fittest.

Everyone who grew up under this rule shares a common trait.

Wolfish nature!

This trait was particularly evident in these young Mech Knights at the moment.

Previously, the silence and even timidity of these disciples were merely the survival principles and wisdom of wolves—wolf packs obey the leader; they don’t easily challenge the leader. When facing a more powerful force, they avoid the edge.

But that doesn’t mean their wolfish nature was suppressed.

Instead, once they have a clear goal, once they have strong leadership, these young people who grew up in the Free World are a pack that can trek thousands of kilometers in icy conditions, survive the harshest environments, and engage in the most brutal battles!

Of course, it still requires the baptism of war and training.

Fatty smiled.

He patted Weiseler on the shoulder and said, ”If you can, you could even become a General of Leray! To hell with the Supreme Joint Council!”
