Counterfeit Hero

”The Absolute Kill Army from the Absolute Kill Stream has already left Lille Port, advancing towards Central City in three separate routes. Their respective factions distributed across various major cities have also fully gathered their forces. Currently, battles have already broken out between the Fierce Bear Association and the Gray Wolf Gang at Xianlong Port, Oslo Port, Infantry Port, and Waltz Avenue in Central City. Neither side has deployed Mechas or heavy weapons...”

”Members of the Tai Sect Tusks Society have received an emergency assembly order. Several streets surrounding their main base in Central City have been armed and sealed off. Signs indicate they will allocate troops to assist the Fierce Bear Association in seizing control of Waltz Avenue, clearing the way to attack the Absolute Kill Stream’s headquarters.”

”The Tai Sect Bullfighter Mercenary Corps, distributed across Thames Port, Bering Port, Central City, and Xianlong Port, have already mobilized. They are currently facing off against the Absolute Kill Stream’s Golden Palm Mercenary Corps. Both sides are focusing their efforts on the local Mechanical Divisions, industrial zones, as well as ground ports, warehouses, and critical transportation routes. Their armored units are fully deployed.”

”The Broken Army Camp of the Mountain Breaker Sect has left its base, with one faction heading towards Central City and another hurrying to Xianlong Port. The movements of other factions remain unclear, and intelligence from monitoring personnel is currently being compiled.”

”The fleet units of the Demon’s Eye Pirate Group and the Bullfighter Mercenary Corps have settled in the No. 13 and No. 18 airports controlled by the Tai Sect Interstellar Camel Trading Group, and have blocked the routes. Signs indicate that their main force is not within the airports. Once ground combat erupts, the Demon’s Eye Pirate Group is expected to assist the Bullfighter Mercenary Corps in capturing Xianlong Port and the control of the No. 21 Airport above it.”

”The Scorpion Pirate Group affiliated with the Absolute Kill Stream has entered the Mars Star System. The main force’s movements are unknown, with their third fleet currently resupplying at No. 21 Airport.”

”The Blood-colored Slaughter Saber Pirates affiliated with the Mountain Breaker Sect have sealed off No. 23 and No. 25 airports. There are traces of their fleets on the B-grade route leading to Odin Free Port.”

Selwal gently wiped the energy gun in his hand with a white velvet cloth. Beside him, the intelligence officer was reading aloud pieces of information gathered at the Northern Commerce Alliance Headquarters.

The gun in his hand was an antique. The handle and barrel were engraved with the distinctive stabbing tiger of the Desic Athena Star System, a symbol of the Nademick Dynasty. Ever since the fall of the Nademick Dynasty, when the country split into Desic, Gazalin, Leray, and parts of Tatania, this royal gun had followed Selwal’s ancestors.

Placing the royal treasures lost outside back into the royal hall that once again stands in the world has always been the dream of the Nademick Dynasty’s survivors. For this dream, for hundreds of years, the descendants of the Nademick Royal Family, and the loyal guards and nobles’ descendants, have never ceased their efforts in secret.

Selwal lightly blew on the engraved part of the alloy barrel, his genteel face showing a hint of ferocity.

After his uncle Philip’s failure in Gazalin, he finally welcomed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! This chance was different from Philip’s operations in Gazalin. He controlled everything and did not need to rely on others nor heed their moods. After the turmoil, the entire Free World would become the foundation of the Nademick Dynasty’s revival!

Carefully wrapping the gun in his hand with the velvet cloth and placing it into a dark red sandalwood box, Selwal took the electronic folder handed by the intelligence officer.

After years of operating in the Freeport, the extensive reach of the Northern Commerce Alliance had already infiltrated every corner of the Free World. Nothing could escape this vast intelligence network.

In every street of the Free Port, and at every port, the Northern Alliance’s informants were spread. In space, a significant portion of the Freedom Docks and space stations scattered throughout the Freedom Channel were also controlled by the Northern Alliance.

Now, everything happening in the Free Port was under his very eyes.

The major Mecha sects had finally started a war.

Selwal couldn’t help but let out a cold snort. These outdated and decaying Mecha sects relied on their damn traditions to control the entire Free World. But now, those ridiculous traditions had one foot in the grave! In this world, the cornerstone of power was the military, strength, not those laughable Mecha techniques.

The Tai Sect, Absolute Kill Stream, and Mountain Breaker Sect were still flirting with the Western Alliance, with their divisions active in Desic, Binart, Suss, and Jiepeng, trying to obtain the Western Alliance’s agency in the Free World. What they didn’t understand was that the Western Alliance would never cooperate with organizations like theirs.

The Western Alliance needed a militarized organization, one that was tightly-knit, with solid capital, able to control the Free World.

Especially for the Suss Empire at the front line, the demands for this route parallel to the Chuckna Republic and the Saleria Federation were even stricter. To gain military equipment and funds from their hands, one must trade by securing and controlling the Freedom Channel.

In Mars Free Port, who else but the Northern Alliance could meet these conditions?

”The Redbeard Pirates’ sub-fleet has entered the Mars Star System?”

A piece of information in the electronic file piqued Selwal’s interest. His fingers drummed on the table as he mused, ”The Redbeard Pirate Group hasn’t shown up for over a month now, right?”
