Counterfeit Hero

Time passed, and the assassin rankings were constantly being updated. This fatty, after replacing Hopkins and becoming second place, was soon dropped from the list due to his lack of assassin identity and cumulative follow-up tasks. However, many veteran assassins still remembered this person in their hearts.

Until one day, a sky-high bounty appeared, and this guy once again entered the vision of all assassins.

By this time, he was already a hero of the Leray Federation.

A mechanic soldier from the Federation’s Aviation Marine Corps who had grown to become the hero who captured Gazalin Emperor James. After killing Stephen and dismantling the entire Morton family, he stomped Duke Victor, the head of the Howard family, to death, and finally took out the only heir of the Howard family, Ritter.

Every single thing he did was reason enough for the Howard family to issue a three-billion-Fei Yuan bounty that promised death. After Ritter’s death, this bounty increased by another billion.

In other words, killing this fatty was enough to make any pauper a world millionaire! Four billion Fei Yuan, that was eighty billion Mars Star Shields, nearly thirty billion Leray Yuan, and sixteen billion Chuckna Republic Coins!

By this time, this fatty named Tian Xingjian had already become a star in the assassin trade. There was not a single assassin who did not know about this guy. His photos and all the information that could be collected had become must-have manuals for assassins. If given the chance, everyone hoped this fatty would fall under their gun.

However, during wartime, going to Leray to find a major general whose identity and information were SS-class secret and strictly protected by the military was almost an impossible task. Apart from a few lunatics who secretly tried to infiltrate Leray but could only hover on the edge of the military restricted zone, most assassins kept a clear head.

But, what Magit did not expect was that he, himself, got this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

This fatty actually came to Mars Free Port!

As the number one sniper of the Bullfighter Mercenary Group, Magit always looked down on those militia from the Firefox Assassination Group.

Before becoming a mercenary, Magit was a special soldier of the Jiepeng Empire, having killed countless people on the battlefield. If it weren’t for killing a noble’s son over a dispute and fleeing to the Free Star System, Magit would probably be on the Leray Battlefield now. At the very least, he would be a major general.

The things those cowards from Firefox didn’t dare to do, Magit dared! In his mind, aside from describing Firefox as cowards, he couldn’t think of any other terms, nor could he understand why the pie from the sky would be so easily given up by Firefox.

Looking at the Tai Sect Puluo Branch through his scope, Magit felt fortunate for his past decisions.

If he hadn’t killed that noble back then, how could he have such a good opportunity today? Four billion Fei Yuan was in that small building. As long as the target appeared and he gently pulled the trigger, he could find a place to enjoy the rest of his life!

Helen used the micro camera in her hand to secretly record the mecha combat on the street.

The alloy frame structure of the Tai Sect Branch was trembling. The windows made creaking sounds, and the oil paintings hanging on the walls shook violently, seeming as if they could fall at any moment.

Helen was very scared, as these were things she had never experienced before.

However, after experiencing the life-and-death escape on the Blue Rose and the dangers at the Mechanical Armor Hall, Helen had learned to use focus to ease her inner fear.

Since she was already at the center of the storm, she ought to record what she saw and heard with her camera. Even if one day she died, there would still be a piece of real history left behind.

Recording the reality of war with her camera, this task with a strong sense of mission, was like grabbing a lifeline for Helen.

Only by pouring all her energy into this work could she avoid plunging into boundless fear.

Sometimes, women are stronger than men.

When men collapse, the strength that women explode with resilience is unimaginable.

At this moment, Helen did not realize the change in her thoughts.

She only knew that by being around this fatty, she would witness a real, vast and dramatic, endlessly surprising and changing history of war.

Helen never truly understood what kind of person this fatty was.

Looking through the previously filmed footage, Helen’s perception of the fatty changed every day. If before, in her mind, this fatty was a towering and omnipotent hero, now, this dead fatty had many identities. He was a lecherous pervert, a damned voyeur, a genius with wild imagination, a reckless idiot, and a coward whose fear was often caught in the camera.

In the footage on the Blue Rose, during the fatty’s roar, his legs were trembling.

At the Redbeard Pirate Base, when the fatty walked out of the elevator, his eyes were filled with bewilderment and child-like fear.

All of these were captured by Helen’s camera. Every time she watched them, Helen would have an indescribable feeling in her heart. She gradually accepted the true face of the hero. Compared to her previous perception, this kind of fatty, just like the war that had torn off its romantic veil in her life, was more real!
