Counterfeit Hero

The one commanding the Blue Rose, miraculously escaping alive, the most famous civilian hero in Leray’s history.

Where is he?

*********************************

Rodbia Planet, at this moment, the evacuation has reached its most critical stage.

From space, looking down, the nineteen cities scattered across the entire planet have turned into a hell of thunderous cannon fire and smoke.

Infantry, dressed in dark brown Leray uniforms, fight desperately amidst the soil tossed up by shells and the dense rain of bullets. Federation Mecha roar as they cross intersecting trenches, gathering and firing frantically.

Just a few kilometers behind them, countless soldiers with mud and smoke still on their clothes silently march onto transport ships. Among them are the wounded, medics carrying medical kits, officers clutching files, and busy mechanic soldiers and airmen.

Transport ships are continuously taking off and landing.

Under the cover of land-based air forces and the Space Fleet, various ships, large or small, carrying Leray soldiers and displaced civilians, leap into the vast space, passing through emergency channels still controlled by the Fei Alliance’s Southeast First Expeditionary Fleet, heading towards the Leray Central Star Domain.

The fall of the Bermuda Star System has become inevitable!

The flagship of Leray’s Third Mixed Fleet, the Castania, has now become a frontline command center in space. Countless officers and staff frantically race back and forth, the noise of footsteps, shouts, and electronic sounds from the ship’s broadcasts creating an overwhelmingly tense atmosphere.

In the main control room, Russell sits quietly.

The entire plan, from the moment they learned of the Saleria Federation’s withdrawal from the war, had been completed. Now all that remains is its execution.

Ships drag long ion trails across the warship’s porthole, gradually moving away. Following Lucerne’s great retreat, this was Russell’s second major evacuation involving nearly ten million people. Both evacuations had left a deep impression on Russell.

Leray people always manage to organize themselves meticulously, executing orders methodically. There is no complaining, no panic. They merely silently board the transport ships and leave. Every usable ship has been mobilized. Women, children, and the elderly were prioritized for boarding.

One infantry division after another, armored divisions too, still neatly assembled at the frontlines. They will serve as reserves, moving up when the frontline situation worsens, buying time for the evacuation.

Federation fleets have appeared in the Bermuda Star System as much as possible. They resist enemies significantly outnumbering them, bravely but not recklessly. They always manage to entangle enemies with minimal cost, like protective vixens.

This is a nation worthy of respect.

Unfortunately, in this war, Leray, like Gazalin, ultimately cannot escape the fate of defeat.

Russell sighs as he looks at the interstellar map on the main control console, unsure of what he feels inside.

As a sharp military strategist, Russell knows that if Leray could hold out for another year, the war situation would undergo profound changes.

Within a year, a battle is inevitable in the Karsdon Star River!

Sobel and Hastings have already laid out their plans in Karsdon. The reason for no large-scale confrontation is because both are restraining their forces.

They do not want to see any changes in the cosmic situation due to the conflict between two superpowers. Changes only occur between the two superpowers. Their leadership positions are absolutely inaccessible to others, even their own allies!

So, the Southeast Star Domain has become a battlefield for the two nations to test each other. They put their allies one by one to grapple and fight.

However, some countries always have their own plans.

Chuckna is like this, and Suss and Jiepeng are the same. These countries are not so easily commanded. Every move they make follows a principle — national interest.

Chuckna’s refusal to send troops is to avoid becoming the focus of conflict before the outbreak in Karsdon. Suss and Jiepeng have bigger ambitions. They send troops to the Southeast Star Domain to capture Saleria, Leray, and then Gazalin... Historically, these two countries are synonymous with greed! They dream of becoming the next superpower!

Each has its own meticulous calculations!

Yet no matter how the calculations play out, the confrontation in the Karsdon Star River steadily escalates, which is an undeniable fact.

Sobel and Hastings are both seeking opportunities, cautiously searching for each other’s weaknesses. Uncertain when, they will launch a sudden, thunderous strike!

Only when these two superpowers are completely entangled in Karsdon Star River, will the two alliances release focus from the Southeast Star Domain, shifting the war’s focus back to where it should be. After all, neither the Western Alliance nor the Fei Alliance can afford to lose in the Karsdon Star River.

Once the leading nation of the alliance fails, the ensuing chain reactions will be fatal!

By then, the Naga Federation and Desic Empire’s armies will be transported from the western line to the Binart Empire. The Ryan Republic and Chuckna Republic of the Fei Alliance will join forces to resist the attacks from Suss and Jiepeng. Leray will still be attacked, but it will not be the primary focus of the war.
