Chapter 563: Volume 6 Chapter 39 Bring Him Back_2

This time, in the havoc caused by the little kid, the biggest victim was not the thirteen-year-old who posted it. The worst was Margaret. She was piloting the ”Waning Moon” and was tailed by the clueless little kid, robbed one hundred and sixty-eight times!

Sobel sat in front of the massive observation window, staring at the deep starry sky outside, lost in thought. His right hand resting on the armrest subconsciously swayed lightly. The golden Imperial Whiskey and ice cubes in the translucent glass in his hand swirled and clinked together.

This was a forward space fortress located in the Imperial Zone of the Karsdon Star River. The fortress was in the shape of an irregular pentagon, wrapped in twenty meters of armor, quietly suspended in the outer space orbit of the Nordstrom Star Planet.

This fortress, named ”Scorpion,” was the largest among the 120 fortresses spread throughout the Binart Empire’s own Star Domain. Beyond this fortress was the Cleveland Star Domain of the Binart Empire. Here, it was the last barrier preventing the Feiyang Republic Fleet from breaking through the Karsdon Star River.

To construct this fortress, the Empire invested staggering amounts of funds and manpower, taking a full twenty years to complete.

Twenty years of continuous operation had transformed what was originally the size of a space carrier into a giant with a maximum diameter of 380 kilometers and a thickness of up to 90 kilometers. It was no exaggeration to call it an artificial moon of the Nordstrom Star Planet.

Although this fortress was much smaller than many moons of planets, destroying it was not as easy as destroying an ordinary moon. The massive space of Scorpion Fortress could not only accommodate ten mixed fleets but also had extremely powerful defensive capabilities.

The sixty fortress-class main cannons and tens of thousands of rotating energy gun towers scattered in all directions had turned the entire fortress into an armed hedgehog. The enormous energy core provided powerful energy support for the energy shield covering the entire fortress.

Sobel liked this fortress, which his father had personally named, and often came here to sit.

Stationed at Scorpion Fortress were the absolute loyalists of the Sobel family. Everyone here was a loyal follower of the Sobel family. Even the Royal Family of the Empire had no way to interfere here.

Sometimes, Sobel would have a feeling. He felt like he was Scorpion Fortress. And Scorpion Fortress was him... Both were symbols of the Sobel family. Both were symbols of the Imperial Force, equally strong and sturdy, defending the Empire’s last line of defense.

Outside the window, the starry sky, like a silver lid, enclosed the fortress. With just the naked eye, humans could never know what lay beyond this lid.

Sobel quietly gazed at the starry sky, imagining behind this beautiful galaxy, that powerful and unstoppable nation, and that Military God sitting in a wheelchair, looking down at the world.

”General.” A very magnetic and respectful voice came from the room’s communicator: ”Alessandro reporting as ordered.”

Sobel did not respond. He sat quietly for a while, then looked up and drank all the whiskey in the glass. He stood up, walked over to the desk on the soft and thick pure wool carpet, and put the glass down before slowly saying, ”Come in.”

The room’s computer recognized Sobel’s command and opened the automatic metal alloy door.

A clean, handsome, upright young Colonel officer in his thirties appeared at the door. The long wait seemed not to have troubled him at all. He appeared composed and calm in Sobel’s sight.

”Alessandro. Sit.” Sobel gestured to the young officer and went around to sit behind the large desk.

”Yes, General!” Alessandro walked into the room at a measured pace. He stopped three meters from Sobel, stood at attention and saluted, then pulled out a chair and sat down.

His movements were very standard, yet not stiff or rigid, exuding the unique elegance and composure of the Binart Nobles within the military’s rigor.

Sobel smiled slightly, very pleased with this student and confidant. After Alessandro sat down and looked at him, he began to ask, ”Has the Intelligence Division figured out the situation of that Tian Xingjian from the Leray Federation?”

”Yes, General!” Alessandro leaned forward slightly.

”Tell me what you know.” Sobel leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.

”Tian Xingjian, a member of the Chuckna Clan, father Tian Tianyu, mother Wang Jiaying. Ancestral home in the Chuckna Long March Star System. Moved to the Leray Federation since his great-grandfather. Tian Xingjian lost both parents at the age of six. Lived on government subsidies and parents’ inheritance. Not outstanding academically. Known to be cunning, lazy, cowardly, and timid.”

Alessandro’s magnetic voice echoed in the room.

”In 2060, Tian Xingjian joined the Leray Army and entered the Army training camp. Showed exceptional combat talent in the camp. Later voluntarily applied to join the mechanics training camp. After graduating from the training camp, he was assigned to the Leray Air Marine Corps 5th Armored Division. Junior mechanic soldier. Stationed on Duoclei Star in the Galileo Star System of the Atlantis Star Domain.

After the invasion of Leray by Gazalin, Tian Xingjian followed his unit in a continuous retreat. The 5th Armored Division was disbanded in early battles. After being reformed, Tian Xingjian was sent to Miloke Star in the Newton Star System. Since then, he has risen miraculously.
