Chapter 552: Volume 6 Chapter 34 Independent Command Authority_3

Hamilton knew that given Leray’s current situation, he actually had no choice. What he needed to do was just to take on the responsibility. Either he would become a great president or he would become a criminal of this country.

Under the personal guidance of the Command Department, top scholars from the country’s three major military academies were secretly gathered to start working.

After the plan began to be implemented, how to reward Tian Xingjian for his incredible achievements became a special research topic for Leray’s top leadership.

The reason why it needed special research is because this topic was too difficult.

No one expected Fatty to achieve such an extraordinary accomplishment. The emergence of artificial intelligence instantly brought Leray’s technological level to an unimaginable height. Just by looking at the distorted faces of those top experts who were lucky enough to participate in the artificial intelligence application project, you would know what Fatty brought back meant to Leray.

The significance of artificial intelligence is no less than the discovery of a star-level jump point! Just for this alone, awarding an admiral’s rank and millions in wealth could only be called stingy!

However, Fatty was someone who couldn’t be promoted. Besides the reasons from the Fei Alliance Joint Army Headquarters, the more important thing was that the entire Federation’s high-level understood that Fatty’s ability lay in the frontline.

He might be an excellent military advisor, a commander with a unique vision and sharp thinking. But these were not his most important skills. His brilliance only burst forth like a planetary explosion at the most dangerous and critical moments.

In desperate situations, this cowardly Fatty possessed unimaginably extraordinary strength. It was precisely by relying on his strength, coupled with a bit of luck, that Leray had held on till today.

Giving such a person a high-ranking position and wealth to enjoy a comfortable life in the rear would obviously be a great waste and a dereliction of duty by the Command Department. Before the God Creation Plan made a breakthrough, letting a leader with immature leadership skills rise rapidly was akin to pulling up seedlings to help them grow.

The problem was, if not high-ranking positions and wealth, then what?

Although they constantly comforted themselves with ”this is his destiny,” the thought of continuously sending the heroic Fatty, who repeatedly made remarkable contributions, into the most dangerous places for missions, even demoting him, made everyone feel uneasy and break into a cold sweat.

If any of these inside stories leaked out, it would undoubtedly cause an uproar throughout Leray.

”A bonus definitely has to be given!” Bernadotte said, looking at the troubled president, ”That guy loves money. He privately called me a few times asking if his travel expenses in Gazalin could be reimbursed!”

”Travel expenses?” Hamilton was dumbfounded. What travel expenses could Fatty have in Gazalin?!

”Besides money, I think we should consider the future a bit more.” Mihailovich looked at Hamilton earnestly, ”Now, we can still make decisions, but if in the future...”

Mihailovich only said half of his sentence, but he didn’t need to continue; everyone understood what he meant. The current situation in Leray could only be described as turbulent. Although some people in the country were not so blatant, should the war situation encounter any significant setback, no one knew what this country would become.

Even though Leray had joined the Fei Alliance for nearly two hundred years and its geographical location made war unavoidable, once judged as a governance failure, the blame of being tied to the Fei Alliance war chariot would have to be borne by Hamilton and the Supreme Command Department! And such accusations had never ceased since the beginning of the war. The difference was only in the loudness of the voices.

If the God Creation Plan were to continue and to pull Leray out of the vortex of this war when the opportunity arose, then the selected individual must be given enough privileges! Privileges that no one could take away!

”You mean....” Hamilton’s mouth dropped open.

”Independent command authority!” Mihailovich said resolutely, ”The independent command authority of Marshal Jiluo during the War of Independence!” (To be continued. To find out what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com, where there are more Chapters, support the author, support legal reading!)
