Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 564: Volume 6 Chapter 39 Bring Him Back_3

He once single-handedly destroyed a frontline command post of Gazalin’s division in New Rome City. During a mission behind enemy lines, he miraculously led a platoon to rescue 270 Leray prisoners... Later, he was transferred to the 6th Research Room of the Combat Department at the Miloke frontline command post, demonstrating exceptional military talent..”

Sobel closed his eyes, quietly listening to Alessandro’s report. Although much of the intelligence in the report was known to him beforehand, hearing it now, after thorough verification by the Intelligence Department, still left him astonished.

There’s no need to mention the earlier feats; just capturing James and assassinating Stephen were enough to prove his extraordinary nature! These two actions were precisely the key factors leading to Gazalin and Desic’s successive defeats in their campaigns!

”The Leray Command Department has now upgraded Tian Xingjian’s confidentiality level to Double S-Class top secret. His movements and those of his associates are strictly confidential and under tight protection. It took the Intelligence Department critical personnel to obtain intelligence that Tian Xingjian will fly to Chuckna next month to participate in a joint mecha research project organized by the Feiyang Republic.”

Alessandro’s report concluded.

The room was quiet. Sobel had his eyes closed, seeming to be asleep.

Alessandro remained silent. He quietly looked at the electronic document in his hand. He knew Sobel was not asleep but digesting the information in the report.

Anyone would need time to process this information upon hearing it. Alessandro couldn’t help but let out a silent bitter smile. Even someone who prides himself as one of the Empire’s elites took a long time to recover from the shock upon receiving this intelligence.

”Bring him back!” Sobel opened his eyes, the sharp glint in them like needles: ”The Resk Star System is still under the control of the Suss Empire. To reach Chuckna, he will undoubtedly pass through several small jump points. Mobilize all our forces. Bring him back before he reaches Chuckna!”

”Yes, General!” Alessandro stood up abruptly, saluted firmly. His tone was determined. He could hear four unmistakable words in Sobel’s command—must succeed! That meant Sobel’s order demanded results at any cost!

”Alive!”

Those were the last two words Alessandro heard from Sobel as he left.

The brief peaceful life was finally drawing to a close. When Fatty received the command from the Command Department, he knew it was time for him to leave.

The Jiepeng Empire had completely taken over Midway Star in the Bermuda Star Domain’s Columbus Star System and was launching a massive offensive against the Bermuda Main Star, Rodbia. Both sides had committed over sixty armored divisions, one hundred eighty fully mechanized infantry divisions, and thousands of fighter jets to the nearly scorched planet. The battle was extremely fierce.

If not for Leray’s utmost efforts, and the combined resistance of the Southeast First Expeditionary Army formed by Feiyang and Chuckna with the Saleria Federation, Rodbia would have already fallen into the hands of the Jiepeng Empire.

And now, the Western Alliance’s military buildup signaled a large-scale offensive against the Southeast Star Domain. Whether their target was the Bermuda Star System or the Saleria Federation, it would be a disaster for Leray. If their strategic goals were achieved, Leray would be powerless to respond.

The Fei Alliance Joint Military Command had already issued operational guidelines. The Southeast Star Domain’s various Fei Alliance member countries had also begun active war preparations. However, these small and medium-sized nations’ power was vastly inferior compared to the major countries of the Western Alliance.

In terms of comprehensive power score measured by resources, population, technology, and economy, the Suss Empire alone had a comprehensive score of 6.3, which was five times that of the Leray Federation and three times that of the Saleria Federation. It was four times that of Tatania and Puditok, and fifteen times that of Knevel!

Moreover, the Desic Empire and Jiepeng Empire had comprehensive civilization scores of 4.2 and 5.6, respectively. Therefore, when these three countries united, they were not something that the small countries of the Southeast Fei Alliance could resist.

Currently, the key to solving the problem lay with the Chuckna Republic, with its high score of 9.7. As the world’s third-largest country, second only to the Binart Empire and the Feiyang Republic, its strength could not be gauged by a simple score.

Just imagine, this country, the only one that retained its ethnic name after the Earth’s Federation’s disintegration without being divided or absorbed, showcases its might. In thousands of years of space history, this country had undergone countless wars, yet it never collapsed completely. Even after a defeat, it swiftly stood up again to face its enemies.

Even the mighty Feiyang Republic had never dared to give orders to the Chuckna Republic. For the Feiyang Republic, the Chuckna Republic is a respected ally. Whether friends or foes, it’s best not to anger this country.

Therefore, this trip to the Chuckna Republic for Leray was not just about participating in a joint mecha research project. More importantly, Leray needed to establish a genuine alliance framework with the Chuckna Republic and engage them genuinely in the war, instead of the current procrastination in the Resk Star System with the Suss Empire.
