Beneath the Red Dragon

The grand castle hall regained its tranquility, like the most splendid ball, which ultimately will come to an end. No matter how intense the banquet, it inevitably ends with guests departing.

The dragons dispersed, each returning to their nests, the ministers scattered, each going home.

Even the busy serving maids vanished without a trace. In the vast King’s Castle, Karon alone sat on the throne, lost in thought.

During their long lives, most people spend a large portion of their time in solitude, and Karon has long been accustomed to this state.

It’s not just a habit as a Giant Dragon; having spent an eternity alone in the desolate Spiritual Realm, Karon’s heart and will have been honed harder than his steel-forged body.

He enjoys both the bustle and noise, as well as the freedom of solitude.

This solitude is a rare chance for relaxation and contemplation for the Monarch bearing the entire Dragon Empire.

However, Karon did not devote much energy to contemplating the future trajectory and development of the Empire. For Karon, the path is made by walking it, not by thinking it.

He will lead the entire Empire forward, until reaching the highest peak or shattering.

The Red Dragon only pondered his talent. This newly birthed talent, with some of its retained information still shrouded in fog, yet he could sense the terrifying aspects of the new talent.

This originates from Heart Energy and the bloodline, absorbing the authority of Spiritual—Gluttony, combined with Karon’s personal mind, will, and behavioral integration forming the talent, in some ways representing the embodiment of Karon’s essence.

The essence power and source of all creatures and existences are regarded by Karon as nourishment and resources for his growth. His talent allows him to devour any chosen target.

Then, under the analysis of Talent Power, he absorbs and digests a certain fundamental power of the opposite, supplementing himself, allowing himself to grow.

While some creatures possess bloodlines or power sources, it encompasses layers of Laws interwoven across the entire world and the actual manifestations and derivatives of these Laws.

This also means that Karon can engage with the real-world Laws more directly, easily, and effortlessly through this method.

Although the target’s power and life level impacts Karon’s talent analysis and digestion speed, it is undoubtedly an extremely terrifying talent.

His talent is fundamentally consistent with the anticipated effects of the sub-brain cluster he once created and enhanced, as he himself continues to learn and understand this world, gradually engaging with the basic Laws represented beneath the real world’s surface.

If combined, Karon’s growth pace will accumulate at a terrifying rate.

Unfortunately, the sub-brain cluster born to analyze and understand the representative Laws under the real world surface is far from the powerful level Karon envisaged.

Although in the eyes of most creatures, the sub-brain cluster’s function is already powerful enough, there is still a long way to go in analyzing and understanding the deeply buried Laws beneath the real world.

After all, the sub-brain cluster was created by Karon through Heart Energy, from nothing to existence, with no precise template for Karon to learn from.

”Perhaps, I should capture a powerful life form, a life form with essential capability in computational analysis, to supply my sub-brain for learning, imitation, and evolution,”

Karon’s iron claws unconsciously tapped on the Fine Steel-like throne armrest, producing the sound of steel and iron knocking in the wide, quiet hall.

”Or, capture an electronic life, digital data life, even an electronic deity. Even if it’s a quantum computer, its function cannot meet my needs,”

Amidst the heavy knocking sounds, Karon’s gaze penetrated the hall of the Castle, looking toward the ambiguous night sky beyond.

Those brightly twinkling stars in the night sky are worlds, and among those countless worlds on countless planes, they will become the hunt field of this Ancestral Red Dragon. Those myriad planes will also become Karon’s nutritional grounds for growth.

Karon’s ambition and his strength exhibit proportional growth.

Because even the entire world of Aikania could not provide the nourishment and resources needed for his growth.

”Establishing a relatively objective observation model for the real world, and comprehensively understanding the world’s knowledge will better construct one’s unique understanding of the real world, forming a more complete world recognition system, which equates to greater strength!”

Karon’s dark golden pupils cast a profound and determined gaze.

He is now already preparing to breach the true Legendary Gate.

With Karon’s current condition, even if this Red Dragon lay in the nest, sleeping constantly, doing nothing.

Upon reaching the Youth Stage, he could naturally cross the high ridge which countless beings need to look up to, walk into the Domain of Legend, undergoing a leap in life level.

But some Legends become Legends after consuming countless resources and potential to reach this realm; for them, this is their endpoint, their greatest power manifestation.

While some Legends are called Legends because the path is named the Legendary Path, thus called Legend. Becoming Legend is merely the beginning for these beings, is their extremely solid foundation, the starting point for germination and robust growth.
