Beneath the Red Dragon

But Karon never told him that adolescents also need more sleep, so this White Dragon has now begun to become active. Although in these years it hasn’t been as lively among the populace as the Black Dragon Rosani, it often travels between the mountains and the territory.

However, due to the frequent quarrels between its two heads, even about where to go or what to eat, the people have a tendency to keep their distance from this otherwise mild-tempered Giant Dragon Lord. A quarrelsome Giant Dragon doesn’t seem easy to get along with.

The White Dragon Gomot, in contrast, is quite popular. This city was built under the leadership of this White Dragon Lord, so many citizens are familiar with Gomot and give it plenty of cheers.

Then there’s the Green Dragon Antajena and the Red Dragon Kleyna. Although these two female dragons also delight in the vanity brought by the people’s cheers, their gazes keep wandering to the Ancestral Red Dragon at the forefront.

Having grown again during its period of slumber, the Ancestral Red Dragon’s charm has undoubtedly increased in the eyes of these two female dragons, giving them a sense of urgency. Whenever passionate young girls cheer for Karon, these two female dragons grind their teeth silently, wishing they could silence those girls.

Especially since many elves who have seen Karon’s elven form cheer with extraordinary enthusiasm, making the two female dragons more annoyed than their vanity can handle. Until they’ve savored the taste of the Ancestral Red Dragon, they don’t allow any creature to have untoward thoughts about it.

The Black Dragon Rosani maintained its usual demeanor, holding its head high like a peacock proudly displaying its feathers, relishing its current full form, even to the point of disdain for other black dragons of its kind.

The Blue Dragon Doss remained as calm as always, but his expression appeared particularly relaxed and joyful. The reason might be that on this significant ceremonial day, he doesn’t need to deal with the piles of documents and affairs.

Finally, there were the dragons led by the Young Red Dragon Kedelos, with the Green Dragon Ali, the Young White Dragon Sloraka, and the Adolescent White Dragon Ronnie, following at the tail end of the Dragon Group.

Although these dragons have not been granted positions or the title of Giant Dragon Lord, only the Young Red Dragon Kedelos was given a small town by the Bronze Dragon Alina to keep busy.

But being able to follow the Dragon Group in the victory procession and ceremony means that the Dragon Group led by Karon recognizes them as part of it.

The other dragons were initially a bit restrained and lost but soon they were infected by the enthusiastic atmosphere, becoming proud and striding towards the Central Square.

Only the Young Red Dragon Kedelos scanned around with his dragon eyes. The young girls he saw all showed expressions of disdain, turning away, unwilling to pay him attention, as this Red Dragon’s lecherous reputation is well-known throughout the territory, indiscriminate of race, accepting all comers.

The crowd followed the Dragon Group as they surged towards the Central Square, not willing to miss this rare opportunity for the imminent state-establishing ceremony.

The procession passed through the raucous cheers along a main road wide enough to accommodate thirty-six spacious luxury carriages side by side, through towering buildings and structures, reaching the spacious Gogomola Central Square.

Finally stopping in front of the Merit Monument and Merit Pillars, where they regrouped and repositioned themselves.

Almost all the important territorial department heads were already present, waiting in front of the high platform in the square.

Seventy-nine pieces of fireworks-laden artillery were arranged in perfect order around the Central Square, pointing towards the sky.

All the legions stood in formation, solemn and orderly.

Countless people were shoulder to shoulder, a dense sea of figures thronging together. At this moment, everyone gathered in the square, even all the soldiers in the city were dispatched to maintain order and prevent any accidents during such a joyous ceremony.

As several dragons bound by chains were shamefully displayed before all the citizens, whether in this Royal Capital or the citizens anxiously waiting before the magical projections, cheers surged like a tidal wave.

At this moment, a sense of shared national pride welled up in the hearts of all the Golden People.

Even the noble and powerful Golden Dragon, the graceful Silver Dragon, the Bronze Dragon, or the arrogant Beastman, all who dared to challenge the Land of Golden would be trampled underfoot, becoming captives or being eliminated.

The bells were struck, the drums were beaten, the horns resounded, as Karon stepped onto the high platform, turned and looked back; at that moment, the atmosphere reached a peak.

Karon quietly observed all the citizens, until he spread his wide wings, covered in ashes and steel marks, entwined with flame patterns, extending forty-two meters long; in an instant, all fell silent.

Bells and drums ceased, horns quieted, the crowd was silent, all eyes were on him, looking up intently.

”In the beginning, the Land of Golden was merely wilderness and forest, devoid of civilization.”

Karon raised his head high, his gaze seemed to encompass everyone, his voice resonated in every person’s ear.

”It was I, with the Dragon Group called evil by the world, alongside monsters deemed evil, with races rejected by society, who founded a homeland here, establishing a land of civilization.”

”Initially, it wasn’t pleasant here; it was those who longed for beauty who used their hands to create it. Those who came were adventurers seeking a better life, refugees wishing for stability, slaves hoping for a future, or illegitimate children not valued, those with no place to go, and rejected races, who together formed the territory’s appearance!”
