Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon smiled; since the reputation of the Dragon Group spread, this was the first time a Giant Dragon chose to join the Dragon Group voluntarily. This was quite a celebratory piece of news for both the Dragon Group and him.

”You don’t need to worry, Midir,” the voice of the Ancestral Red Dragon became exceptionally gentle at this moment, ”The Gogomola Dragon Group does not solely rely on brute strength. It is ability that the Dragon Group values and expects. Your wisdom and knowledge are your abilities.”

”But you need to prove that your abilities are sufficient to earn the position you seek within the Dragon Group. So, what value can you bring to me, to the Dragon Group, and to the Empire?”

Steel Dragon Midir’s expression became noticeably more lively at this moment. Her voice also raised considerably, and she excitedly swished her steel dragon tail, making a whooshing sound.

”Oh, honorable Dragon King, Midir has inherited the wisdom and knowledge of the previous Steel Dragon and has some rather good insights on commercial development, especially in the real estate sector, which is my primary focus.”

Steel Dragon Midir spoke eloquently: ”As the empire established by the Dragon Group gradually grows, it’s necessary to start regulating and managing the business and economy of the entire empire in advance.”

”Currently, the empire’s market and economy are only under simple surface management, allowing the economy and business to grow unchecked. This doesn’t affect the empire much in its early stages.”

”However, if this situation continues, those greedy merchants will be even more bloodthirsty than us Giant Dragons in their pursuit of profit. They will use economic tactics to manipulate the market and economy, thereby affecting power and the functioning of the entire empire.”

”Although Giant Dragons can easily sweep away these greedy cockroaches, acting at that point would damage many interests and result in a loss of wealth.”

Steel Dragon Midir perceived the Red Dragon’s appreciative gaze and felt she had encountered a wise leader. The Dragon Group Territory would be the place where this young Steel Dragon, venturing out of the Dragon Nest for the first time, would make her mark.

Therefore, Steel Dragon Midir spoke with decisiveness: ”So, I hereby suggest establishing a specialized imperial department, which can be affiliated under the financial department, to focus on macroeconomic control of the empire’s commerce and economy, to manage those freely growing businesses and merchants, to prevent loss of interests.”

”I also have many methods that can help the Dragon Group earn substantial profits, and I look forward to demonstrating them to you one by one!”

Karon used his claw to stroke his forge-steel jaw, feeling very satisfied with the arrival of this Steel Dragon.

In his vision, the empire of dragons was not just a simple gathering of dragons, piling up in numbers. These various Giant Dragons have unique talents, fitting to fill roles in various departments and organizations of the empire, to share not just tasks but also, oh no, power for Karon.

For example, the Steel Dragon Midir in front of him reminded him of the previously unnoticed oversight in the overall economic control of the empire, an indispensable measure for a mature nation.

Thus, Karon satisfactorily extended his dragon claws, clapping like a human for the Steel Dragon in front of him.

One by one, Giant Dragons also thumped on giant seats or slapped their tails in agreement with the Red Dragon’s action. Steel Dragon Midir’s speech also received the endorsement of the Dragon Group. At that moment, Steel Dragon Midir was even more welcomed by other Giant Dragons than Young Red Dragon Kedelos.

”Your words have conveyed your wisdom and professional knowledge to me, Midir. I will appoint you as the emissary of the financial department. Let your methods be presented; I am eagerly anticipating your wisdom!”

Steel Dragon Midir confidently stepped forward, bowing her elegant, dainty head as the Ancestral Red Dragon’s massive claw enveloped it.

”Welcome to join the Gogomola Dragon Group, the Golden Empire, the Land of Dragons!” Karon extended his steel claw, gently covering it!
