Beneath the Red Dragon

This fleet, comprised of over a hundred vessels, set sail from Lika Sea Port at the southernmost edge of the Central Continent, renting and purchasing ships along the way and engaging in slave trade.

They transported shiploads of people to the Domain, supplementing the population resources of the Domain and providing a substantial population for the rebuilding of the Domain.

Goblin Shanshan was surprised to find that, despite many nobles of the Northern Countries claiming that the Dragon Group was skilled at manipulating minds, using Magic to beguile humans and the refugees of various races to settle, some nobles had already begun cutting off slave trade relations with the Dragon Group Territory.

However, a significant number of free refugees spontaneously began migrating towards the territory of the Dragon Group, because they cared not about evil or justice; they had merely heard that in the Dragon Group Territory they could have enough to eat, a house, and land - they only wished to live well.

The scholars studying the Dragon Group Territory, along with many adventurers and minstrels, including the propaganda of Red Copper Dragon Alfred, made the Dragon Group Territory a coveted Land of Golden in the hearts of these struggling refugees.

The population, combined with the rapidly growing population of beloved races within the Dragon Group, greatly enhanced the efficiency of city rebuilding with the support of magic-industrial development.

Although the quarry was far from Golden City, the scholars of the research center had already brought the magic-guided steam engine into practical use, laying the first planned track, with the rumbling magic-guided steam train beginning to shuttle between Golden City and the quarry.

Despite this blend of magical technology and industrial technology frequently encountering issues, requiring repairs every few days, and the wooden tracks needing regular replacement and maintenance, it still improved efficiency exponentially compared to using human and animal labor.

Thus, within these years, the nearly complete rebuilt Golden City had become a truly magnificent city, towering and imposing, specifically constructed to the standards of a Giant Dragon.

Especially above the towering city gate welcoming all visitors to the port, a gigantic head hung high - proof of prowess divided among the Dragon Group - the skull of the ancient behemoth, Behemoth.

Most visitors would immediately feel a sense of awe upon seeing this scene, where the land ruled by the Dragon Group exhibited both savage military might and spiritual civilization.

And after several years of recovery, this towering Golden City restored its past prosperity, not only welcoming ships full of people every ten days to two weeks into the harbor, but also maintaining busy trade and adventurer visits even from the farthest Southern Continent.

However, these newcomers to the Domain would always discover that two adult Bronze Dragons had appeared in the offshore territory of the Golden Coast, frequently traversing the sea areas.

These two adult Bronze Dragons, having salvaged many sunken ships from the seafloor as their temporary lairs, resided at the edge of the near sea.

These Bronze Dragons, professing justice, frequently had disputes with the Giant Dragon Lords of the Dragon Group Territory over the years, mainly because the two Bronze Dragons felt the Domain’s laws were too harsh, often criticizing the law enforcement of the Dragon Group Territory.

Meanwhile, these two Bronze Dragons displayed no awareness of being in another’s territory, although they had not violated the Dragon Group’s laws, they actually occupied a sea area as their lair and even refused to pay taxes.

Although the Dragon Group could forcibly expel or even kill the two Bronze Dragons along with their Beloved, they feared the backing of the Good Dragon Alliance.

The Metal Dragons and Five-Color Dragons were different, highly protective and self-righteous.

Though most True Dragons active in Icaria World were adolescents to adults, few elderly dragons appeared, let alone Ancient Dragons, the Dragon Group did not believe the opposition lacked those aged, enduring beings.

Without a true guiding leader, the Dragon Group could not easily provoke trouble, and could only remain dormant, awaiting the opportunity.

In such circumstances, even the seemingly powerful Dragon Group needed to be cautious, reflecting the true image of evil dragons in today’s Icaria World.

These evil dragons no longer had the glory of ancient times, needing to face increasingly dominant humanoid races and numerous intelligent races, while contending with even stronger ancient adversaries, the Metal Dragon Race.

Short-sighted, greedy, obsessed with internal strife, arrogantly proud Five-Color Dragons had not completely exited the stage of history, benefiting from the naturally strong life force of giants, allowing them to grow hidden in any corner of the world.

Although the Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group became unusually united after the war with the Beastman Kingdom, they still could not change the world’s major trends now.

Only the resentful Ogre Giantess Fafnir jotted down scores against these two Bronze Dragons in her own little notebook.

This Giant Demon, with a unique understanding of treasure management, managed the Treasure Vault for the Dragon Group, also serving as the tax officer of the Dragon Group Territory.

During the years of war and domain rebuilding, the Dragon Group’s Treasure Vault had disbursed a substantial amount of wealth, prompting Giant Demon Fafnir to wish to quickly replenish the vault before her master awakened to gain rewards from the Red Dragon.

This is why Fafnir had no fondness for the Bronze Dragons consuming many of Domain’s food resources without paying taxes; she always met them with a cold face, rolling her eyes, nose upturned.

But today, Fafnir rarely showed her smile, gently greeting the two human-shaped Bronze Dragons on the busy street.
