Chapter 1000: Chapter 351: Battle Against the Ancestor Dragon Once More (Double-Length Chapter) (Part 2)

”Just now, Director Batalov and the academy’s top officials decided to immediately summon all official Wizards within the academy, and take this opportunity to eliminate this Ancestor Dragon,” Michael said excitedly.

”No wonder I couldn’t find my mentor earlier, he must have been in an emergency meeting,” Merita murmured to herself.

”Merita, aren’t you coming?” Michael urged before quickly leaving.

”Uh... I’m coming now!”

At this moment, Anna and Lagaray also naturally heard the commotion and walked out of their rooms.

”Lord Rein, don’t the three of you want to...” Merita hesitated as she glanced at Rein.

After all, since Rein arrived at Winterfort Academy, he hasn’t received the respect he deserves. In Merita’s view, it’s very normal for Lord Rein to feel a bit emotional.

So, in this situation, she naturally wanted to see what Rein thought.

”Let’s go, let’s go and have a look together,” Rein waved his hand and smiled.

”Great, I thought you would be upset,” Merita immediately smiled and said.

...

When the four of them arrived at the training ground of Winterfort Academy, they saw a number of Second Level Liquidized Wizards, led by a white-bearded elder, talking to a middle-aged male Knight.

Not far from the male Knight, there was a flying mount slightly larger than a Griffin, but with a peculiar appearance.

It had two different heads, one resembling a lion and another resembling a goat, and its body was the same, with the front half having ferocious lion-like claws, and the back half ending in pair of goat hooves on each side.

It also had bat-like wings, giving it a fierce look.

Meanwhile, over twenty First Level Wizards were listening respectfully to the side, and there were hundreds of Wizard Apprentices in total. Compared to the solemn expressions of the Wizards, the apprentices’ faces looked much more excited.

”Lord Rein, that is my mentor, Director Batalov!” Merita pointed from afar at the white-bearded elder and introduced him to Rein.

”Mm,” Rein scrutinized the elder.

The elder didn’t deliberately hide his strength, and from his aura, it was undoubtedly that of a Third Level Crystalized Wizard.

This was also natural; as the head of a Wizard School, it would be difficult to command respect without the power of Crystalization.

However, his aura seemed a bit obscure and inconsistent, likely due to the mentioned injuries not yet healed.

”That Knight is Lord Luther, a Chimera Knight, and it’s said he has qualified to take the Dragon Knight Reserve examination this year.”

”Chimera Knight?” Rein nodded while looking at the two-headed creature.

Is he also taking the Dragon Knight Reserve examination?

What a coincidence.

I’m also planning to take the Dragon Knight Reserve examination this year, so I can check out the strength of Lord Luther, Rein thought to himself.

”Huh, I didn’t expect there to be a Chimera here, I thought they only existed in Ferdinand Forest,” Anna blinked her big eyes, carefully observing the Chimera.

”Oh? Are there also Chimeras in Ferdinand Forest?” Rein couldn’t help but curiously ask.

”Yes, actually, in ancient times, Chimeras were the exclusive flying mounts of Elves, and later they gradually spread,” Anna nodded and said.

”An adult Chimera’s strength is roughly between a First Level Wizard and a Second Level Wizard, however, this Ice Plain Chimera and the Forest Chimera show significant variations and could be considered subspecies,” Anna discerned and added.

”Miss Anna truly is knowledgeable!” Merita couldn’t help but praise.

The arrival of Rein and his group did not cause much of a stir, since they all appeared young, and both Anna and Rein were dressed in white Wizard Robes, making them look like Winterfort Academy’s own students at first glance.

However, Lagaray’s barbarian girl appearance did attract quite a few people’s attention.

”Merita, you’re here, join the ranks, this time all First Level Wizards are mobilized,” a young male Wizard greeted voluntarily.

”Hey, is this the helper you found? Looks quite strong, a rare barbarian female warrior.”

”And... quite beautiful. Merita, if you don’t mind, could you introduce us?” the male Wizard said with a playful smile.

”Crutz, shut up and stop talking nonsense,” Merita quickly glanced at Rein, her heart pounding.

Crutz, you idiot, if you anger Lord Rein, you’re doomed.

”Huh?” The male Wizard Crutz was a bit puzzled.

”Sorry, I’m not interested in you,” Lagaray said seriously.

This made Crutz’s face a bit embarrassed, and he walked away sullenly.

”Lord Rein, please don’t mind, Crutz thinks he’s handsome and suave, but he’s actually not a bad person,” Merita said with apprehension.

...

Just as Merita was still looking for the right opportunity to introduce Rein to her mentor.

It seemed like everyone had already arrived, and soon, the beautiful lady Werti, serving as deputy director, began a brief pre-battle deployment:

”For this operation, First Level Wizards will mainly intercept the White-furred Bear Monsters; that’s the old nest of Kolaxius, and there are quite a few White-furred Bear Monsters.”

”As for that Ancestor Dragon, it will be handled by Director Batalov and us.”

...

After hearing this battle plan, the First Level Wizards all breathed a sigh of relief.

After all, given their strength, if faced with the Ancestor Dragon, they might not be up to the task, as First Level Witchcraft struggles to cause significant damage to the defensively powerful Ancestor Dragon.

”Merita, you and your friends join Squad One, responsible for dealing with the White-furred Bear Monsters on the left side of the nest,” Crutz said and then hurried off.
