Chapter 959: Chapter 341: Improvement and Departure (Combined Chapter)

”Concerning the Ancestor Dragon, Lord Rein, are you familiar with it?” Olena reported up to this point, pausing, and looked at Rein.

”Lady Olena, please introduce the Ancestor Dragon.”

Previously, after encountering the ’Red Queen’ Menia’s Red Dragon, Rein had briefly researched and understood the books introducing the dragons within the Dragan Empire.

However, for the Ancestor Dragon, the books merely mentioned it without much description.

On the other hand, the books detailed the Empire’s Five-Colored Giant Dragons, divided into Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Black Dragons.

”Very well, Lord Rein, the Ancestor Dragon is entirely different from the Five-Colored Giant Dragons that our Dragan Empire prides itself on. Logically, the Ancestor Dragon should have long since disappeared into the vast river of history.”

”But for some unknown reason, occasionally, in a few remote places, these surviving Ancestor Dragons are discovered, just like the Ancestor Dragon known as Kolaxius.”

”Kolaxius, like other Ancestor Dragons, is naturally violent. Although Ancestor Dragons generally lack any talent abilities, their melee combat capabilities are extremely strong. Moreover, according to intelligence, a spy has witnessed this Ancestor Dragon firsthand, reportedly several times the size of its fellow Ancestor Dragons.”

”Therefore, I judge that once the barbarian tribes, also skilled in melee combat, encounter this Ancestor Dragon, Kolaxius, they would likely suffer greatly.”

”Lady Olena, I wish to make a trip to Frostwind Prairie.” At this moment, Rein suddenly said.

Just now, Olena’s introduction about the Ancestor Dragon made Rein decide to head to Frostwind Prairie as soon as possible.

Although Lagaray has been out of touch for some time now and possibly met with some mishap, only by going there can the truth be known.

Rein’s words startled Olena, nearly causing her to jump.

”What?!”

”Lord Rein, are you going to go there yourself?” Olena’s beautiful eyes widened, shocked.

One must know that since Rein slew Corruption Dragon Agnes, his reputation in Mingster Province has risen significantly; Olena felt much safer with Rein in Mingster.

”Yes, a friend of mine is over there; I need to make a trip. By the way, if I ride a flying mount, how long will it take to reach Frostwind Prairie?”

”Uh...this is quite troublesome; although you have a flying mount and could fly directly to Frostwind Prairie—”

”The problem is, the Northern Empire contains several treacherous areas, such as the Thunderstorm Mountains, home to rare thunderstorm elements; any creature flying near them would be attacked by lightning. Even the Imperial Dragon Knights avoid it.”

”So, my suggestion to you is to make a stopover.”

Olena, after calming her shocked demeanor, quickly recovered her composed manner and carefully analyzed the situation for Rein.

Rein nodded and said, ”Lady Olena, do you have any suggested flight routes?”

Though he could now ride Blood Feather, flying through the skies and reaching certain places several times faster than before, it was necessary to avoid some dangerous areas.

In fact, at the inception of the Dragan Empire, there were far more dangerous areas than there are now.

After years of efforts by the Imperial Dragon Knights, they managed to eliminate many man-made dangerous areas, paving the current airship routes.

Otherwise, the dangers of flying in the sky would be far greater than now.

”Yes, if you look...” The competent Lady Olena walked over to Rein’s side, spread out a simplified map of the Empire’s territory before him, and said.

”Generally speaking, if taking the Imperial military airship, it requires six stopovers from here to there, approximately seven days.”

”Since you have a flying mount, my suggestion is to stop over at Hammerfall Fortress in Markas Province, pass through the Hammerfall Tunnel to avoid the black fog vortices of the Hammerfall Mountains.”

”Then, make a stopover at Beverly Pass in Casweis Province, avoiding the giant Wind Roc flocks in the Beverly Mountains, and you’ll then be able to head north.”

”With this calculation, you would only need about three days to reach Frostwind Prairie.”

”Of course, regarding the barbarian tribes, intelligence only indicates a general position; they are migrating around the Hancurl Mountains in the north-central prairie, so you still need to spend some time and effort searching and catching up with them.”

Olena analyzed meticulously.

Rein nodded; Olena’s professionalism is indeed remarkable.

The other party certainly didn’t expect him to decide to go to Frostwind Prairie, but she still quickly helped him choose a suitable route.

”Thank you, Lady Olena, your analysis is very helpful to me.”

”You’re welcome, but Lord Rein, if you truly decide to go to Frostwind Prairie, perhaps you should inform Admiral Edward first.”

”Yes, of course, I’ll head over to Admiral Edward’s shortly.” Rein nodded.

He is now a Diamond Star Swordman at the Mingster Swordsmen Division, essentially an imperial civil servant; leaving the jurisdiction, reporting is necessary.

As for Admiral Edward’s side, Rein is confident in convincing him.

”Yes, Admiral Edward just bade farewell to Duke Victor and the Eagle Federation Mission; he should have returned to his office.” Olena smiled slightly and said.

...

Half an hour later.

Inside Admiral Edward’s office.

”Admiral, I have some personal matters; I’d like to request roughly a month’s leave to make a trip to Frostwind Prairie.” Rein came straight to the point and said.
