Chapter 991: Chapter 349: Explosive Power Surge (Double-Length Chapter)

Just as Rein was about to take a closer look, he suddenly felt a shadow overhead.

He saw the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle start to descend by flapping its wings, and soon, Anna and Merita both jumped off.

However, both of them had a peculiar look in their eyes when they looked at Rein, a mixture of surprise and concern.

”Rein, was that your transformation ability just now?” Comparatively, Anna, who also possessed transformation abilities, was more accepting of Rein’s transformation into that Dragon-man form.

However, it was Anna’s first time seeing Rein transform, so she was extremely astonished at the moment.

Rein glanced down and immediately understood.

He had never displayed his transformation in front of others before, and this time, revealing this ability in public, it was natural for others to be shocked.

”Uh... yes, it’s considered a special bloodline ability, one I only recently awakened.” Rein explained.

”Bloodline ability?” Anna’s beautiful eyes gazed at Rein with doubt, a strange thought flitting through her mind.

But she’d never heard of Aunt Emma having any special bloodlines.

Nor did Bo He.

How did Rein suddenly have a special bloodline?

Aren’t bloodlines normally inherited through families?

Could it be that Rein isn’t Aunt Emma’s biological child?

...

Even though Anna was puzzled, she didn’t press further, but instead considerately handed Rein a white Wizard Robe, draping it over him.

After all, just wearing a pair of shorts was detrimental to Rein’s image, especially since they had a pleated design.

Anna finally understood why Rein’s shorts were of such a peculiar design, likely due to the transformation.

Pleated shorts are practical; they don’t tear.

If it were ordinary shorts that tear easily...

Well, the thought of that scene made Anna’s face flush.

Upon hearing Rein’s explanation, Merita’s view of Rein transformed drastically.

After all, Merita wasn’t familiar with Rein, and for a moment, she thought Rein might not actually be human, as a Wizard, she’d seen plenty of special possession or symbiotic cases, so her gaze at Rein was quite wary.

Now listening to Rein, Merita felt relieved and became more convinced of her previous guess.

Rein must be a direct descendant of some top-level bloodline noble of the Dragan Empire, otherwise, how could his abilities be so strong, and how could he have an official empire background at such a young age?

”Lord Rein, your abilities are truly admirable. With your help, I believe the crisis at the academy will be easily resolved.” Merita slightly bowed, her respect growing.

Rein waved his hand, about to say something, when suddenly, his expression froze.

The two women followed Rein’s gaze and turned their heads to look.

They saw a barbarian female warrior with a giant shield, her body vigorous, appearing in front of Rein.

”Rein, is it really you?” Lagaray stared blankly at Rein.

If earlier, Lagaray was still a bit uncertain, considering how vast the world is, it wasn’t uncommon to encounter people who looked somewhat alike.

But now, with Anna beside Rein, it confirmed Lagaray’s speculation and affirmed Rein’s identity.

”Lagaray!” Anna joyfully ran over, grabbing Lagaray’s hand.

”Last time you left without a word! This time, you faced difficulties but didn’t tell me, do you still see me as a friend?”

”Well...” With Anna’s words, Lagaray felt somewhat embarrassed.

Especially since, before she left, she had some in-depth conversations with Rein, all done secretly without Anna knowing.

”Sorry, Anna, back then I thought the farewell would make you sad.” Lagaray warmly embraced Anna, her voice slightly guilty.

”Lagaray, long time no see!” Rein naturally had many questions for Lagaray, but in the end, he simply smiled and said this.

”Uh... Rein, long time no see. How did you... know I was here... and how did your abilities become so strong?” Lagaray’s beautiful eyes constantly sized up Rein, her expression astonished.

Beside her, Merita’s eyes widened after hearing Lagaray’s words, her gossiping heart burning bright.

Obviously, Lord Rein’s journey to the Frostwind Prairie was for this vigorous, barbarian beauty.

Indeed, such a beauty could only flourish in the prairie, nowhere to be found in the Imperial City.

Considering the chaotic private lives of the upper nobles of the Dragan Empire was almost common knowledge.

Huh?

Lord Rein’s previous abilities surely sounded far weaker than now?

Merita immediately imagined a storyline of a top-level noble’s descendant who had to leave his beloved due to family opposition but returned to find her once his powers grew and his family’s influence increased.

...

”For the past six months, Anna and I haven’t received any of your letters, so recently I asked someone to look into the situation here in the Frostwind Prairie, only to find out that you might be in trouble, so we rushed right over.”

”Thankfully, with the Blood Feather, we made it in time.” Rein patted the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle, saying.

”As for my abilities, that’s a long story...”

Just as Rein was pondering where to begin, he suddenly stopped.
