Chapter 953: Chapter 339: A New Career Choice (Two-in-One Chapter)_3

“Oh, so it was about this.” Rein couldn’t help but smile as well.

He immediately gave a brief overview of the entire situation.

“The situation was urgent at the time, and I set off immediately after receiving the orders. Besides, the ‘Black Sword’ squad had already fallen in, so I thought it would be better not to inform you.”

“Black Sword squad? Is it the Diamond Star Sword Holder team ‘Black Sword’?” Neoro couldn’t help but exclaim in shock.

Because Neoro knew the vice-captain of the Black Sword squad — Wizard Angte, and had exchanged experiences on witchcraft a few times.

The opponent’s strength was above his own, yet he didn’t expect such a formidable squad to be entirely wiped out by the Corruption Dragon Agnes.

“That’s right.” Rein nodded, saying.

“Moreover, it’s fortunate that you didn’t go, Agnes’ Corruption Field would quickly infect all who approached, and those not strong enough would find it almost unsolvable.” Rein’s face set as he recalled the situation, explaining.

The team members were momentarily stunned upon hearing this, and their expressions became serious.

It turns out the captain not taking them along was a good thing!

…

At this point, a servant knocked on the door: “Lord Rein, there are two Sword Holders outside wishing to see you.”

“They said they are surviving members of the Black Sword squad.”

“Oh? Let them in.” Rein raised an eyebrow, saying.

Having just mentioned the Black Sword squad, he didn’t expect there to be surviving members.

Soon, a man in a gray robe and another wearing Knight Armor walked in.

“Honorable Captain Rein, I am Medros, and this is Ruka. We are both members of the Black Sword squad. We sincerely thank you for avenging us by slaying the Corruption Dragon Agnes.”

After saying this, Medros and Ruka both deeply bowed to Rein, saying.

“No need for thanks, I am also a Sword Bearer, it’s what I should do.”

The two then repeated the situation at length, and everyone, including Neoro, listened with fluctuating emotions.

After a lively chat…

Medros spoke:

“Captain Rein, there is another reason for our visit. With just the two of us, we cannot reassemble the Black Sword squad, and we greatly admire your strength. So, we wish to join your team.”

“Of course, initially, we could serve as reserve members, and join as official members once we pass your team’s evaluation. Is there a chance for this?”

“Well…” Rein couldn’t help but hesitate.

But Neoro, standing behind the two, signaled to Rein to keep them.

“Alright, both of you can join as reserve members for now.” Rein thought for a moment, nodded, and said.

“Thank you very much, Captain Rein.” Both men bowed to Rein again, saying.

…

After the two left.

Rein couldn’t help but ask: “Neoro, do you know these two?”

“I’ve heard of them, but not familiar.”

“Oh, so why do you want me to keep them?”

“Captain, how long do you plan to stay at the Mingster Branch?”

“I understand what you mean, alright, I’ll leave it to you.” Rein nodded.

Indeed, neither he nor Admiral Edward could openly refuse a headquarters assignment.

That is to say, sooner or later, he would leave Mingster to head for the Imperial City.

Neoro implied that once he left, the team’s strength would drop drastically.

The title of a Diamond Star squad is likely unsustainable, but recruiting new members with decent strength and character to maintain a Gold Level team shouldn’t be a problem.

….

After a while in Rein’s second-floor study, Neoro and the others went down to the training room to practice.

Rein, too, began to quietly contemplate a matter.

A matter he’s pondered for a long time, which is the choice of a new profession.

Ever since he succeeded in transferring to the Epic Level Profession ‘King of Thousand Blades’, he gained a new career panel, from the original (5/5) to (5/6).

He decided to choose tailoring.

The reason was based on the blacksmith’s progression path, starting as an Ironsmith Apprentice, moving to Blacksmith, then Armor Forger, and finally Great Armor Forger.

That is to say, even if the initial profession ‘Ironsmith Apprentice’ doesn’t seem impressive, its growth potential is excellent.

After four transfers, putting other aspects aside, just the skill points and attribute points have brought Rein great benefits.

As opposed to those whose initial profession is Extraordinary, like Beast Tamer (Transcendent) leading to Beast Priest (Legendary), although the core skills are nice, from the perspective of skill points and attribute points, the benefits to Rein weren’t that high.

For him currently, he has no shortage of core skills or trump cards.

However, his mastery of witchcraft doesn’t quite measure up, and if he wants to bring a witchcraft close to instant-cast level in the future, skill points are essential.

Considering all these, Rein made the decision to learn tailoring.

In a short while, Rein had a servant summon the beautiful woman Jennifer.

“Jennifer, does the chamber of commerce have a tailoring shop under it?”

“Hmm?” The beautiful woman looked at Rein with some confusion, unable to understand why Rein would ask this.

But for her, even though she didn’t understand, it did not hinder her swift response:

“Dear, of course we do! Currently, under Hammer and Rose Chamber of Commerce, there are three tailoring shops.”

“Which shop has the highest level of tailoring?”
