Chapter 999: Chapter 351: Battle Against the Ancestor Dragon Again (Double-Length Chapter)

”Hmm? The Barbarians have such strong combat abilities?”

Diyaam looked, initially puzzled, but upon closer inspection of the wounds, confirmed that Kolaxius was indeed seriously injured, and his heart was instantly put at ease.

”Yes, Diyaam, if you’re interested in subjugating the Barbarians, you can give it a try. They are currently in the canyon on the eastern side of the Coldfall Mountains.”

”Lord Kolaxius, you’ve been injured, so my strength is even less adequate.” Diyaam felt a bit tempted by his words.

He always envied how Kolaxius could gather so many Bear Monsters as vassals.

Look, even when injured, he still has Bear Monsters helping to hunt those sweet prey, without having to do it himself.

This is the life of a dragon.

Unlike myself, who still has to exhaust myself hunting.

”Hehe, after my attack, their strength is greatly diminished. With your power, you completely have a chance.”

”Moreover, I’ll tell you a sure-fire way to succeed. Come a bit closer.” Kolaxius enticed.

”Ugh...” Diyaam glanced at the ’seriously injured’ Kolaxius, but still couldn’t resist the temptation and took a few steps closer to him.

”Yes, in the Barbarian tribe, there’s a guy with extraordinary strength. My injury was caused by that guy....” As Kolaxius narrated, Diyaam listened intently, stepping even closer.

But in an instant, Kolaxius opened his blood-red mouth, leaned forward, and suddenly bit Diyaam’s head.

”Crack!”

With a form three times the size of an ordinary Ancestor Dragon, Kolaxius immediately crushed Diyaam’s head. His thick, short neck whipped vigorously, quickly tearing Diyaam’s head off and gulping it down with large bites.

For a moment, Diyaam’s headless body still convulsed and struggled violently.

He obviously hadn’t expected Kolaxius to be so devious, and furthermore, to dare to kill his own kind so directly!

”Chomp!”

Kolaxius devoured the body of his kind with great mouthfuls.

The nearby White-furred Bear Monsters all widened their bear eyes, dumbfounded.

This....

The Crowned Kolaxius actually ate the Ancestor Dragon of his own kind?!

This is so damn brutal!

And Kolaxius’s mouth, full of bloody remnants, curved slightly upward, showing a satisfied expression.

He could feel that every bite of flesh and blood gave him tremendous energy, warming his stomach, and his injuries were healing rapidly.

Besides, he also sensed another benefit.

That is, by devouring his own kind, his bloodline concentration would further increase, in other words, his power would further enhance.

Although devouring one’s own kind brings many benefits, this behavior is naturally a great taboo among Dragons, as it would incite other Dragons to rise against him.

However, Kolaxius didn’t care.

In the rarely trodden Ice Field, as long as he didn’t speak of it and his vassals remained silent, no one would ever know.

”Damn vermin, you’re dead.”

The triumphant Kolaxius couldn’t help but recall the figure that injured him.

”Soon, very soon....”

”I’m going to take a nap, and you go watch the migration direction of the Barbarian tribe and that human who injured me. When I wake up, what awaits them will be pain and death!”

Kolaxius instructed his White-furred Bear Monster vassals.

”At your command, Crowned Kolaxius.”

...

-----------------

Simultaneously.

In Winterfort Academy, a knock suddenly came from Rein’s room door.

”Knock knock knock!”

”Lord Rein, are you there?”

It was Merita’s voice.

”Just a moment.” Having just finished his enhancements, Rein opened the door.

Seeing Merita standing awkwardly at the doorway with a sheepskin scroll in her hand, she said:

”Lord Rein, the mentor is currently holding an emergency meeting, and you may need to wait a while longer to meet him.”

”Oh, and here’s the map of the former residence of the Second Level Liquidized Wizard nicknamed ’Cutter’. The improved Metal Series Witchcraft ’Cutting Net’ should be inside.”

”Thank you, your mentor, as the headmaster of Winterfort Academy, is understandably busy.” Rein smiled faintly, unbothered.

He didn’t mind not meeting Merita’s mentor.

However, he was quite intrigued as he took the sheepskin scroll Merita handed him.

Just as he was about to open the scroll for a look, suddenly, a sound akin to fireworks exploding came from the sky, and three snowflake-shaped patterns appeared up above.

”Oh?”

”Lord Rein, this is Winterfort Academy’s emergency assembly order.” Merita’s expression changed, quickly explaining.

Soon after, a commotion echoed in the corridors, and many White-robed Wizards with an ice shard patterned on their chests appeared, most with serious faces.

Along the way, Rein learned from Merita that the wizards at Winterfort Academy generally wore white wizard robes, with Ice Element wizards having ice shard designs on their sleeves and chests.

First Level Wizards had one ice shard, Second Level Wizards had two, and the highest, Merita’s mentor, the headmaster of Winterfort Academy, had three ice shards, representing the powerful status of a Third Level Crystalized Wizard.

As for the apprentices, they adopted a snowflake pattern, differentiated by one, two, or three snowflakes for First to Third Level Wizard Apprentice.

”Merita, why aren’t you going to the assembly?” Michael, whom they had met once before, asked in surprise, looking at Merita.

”What’s wrong? Michael.”

”The academy just received the latest news; that Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius was suddenly injured yesterday and has returned to his cave in the Ice Field to recuperate again.”
