Chapter 962: Chapter 341: Promotion and Departure (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

“This…”

“Moreover, migrating to the north is not necessarily safe. I’ve heard that within the glaciers of the Extreme North, a dragon named Kolaxius has appeared, reportedly gathering several large tribes of northern bear monsters.”

“Could this rumor be true?” Dalius’s tiger-like eyes widened.

Although he had heard about it before, he always thought it was just a rumor.

After all, creatures like the Ancestor Dragon have been extinct for thousands of years; how could one suddenly appear?

“Yes, according to the divination results, it’s true. Moreover, the signs suggest that their Strength is likely something we cannot resist on our own.”

“I understand, High Priest, I get your point, I’ll contact the Riesh people immediately.” Dalius nodded and said.

“Yes, now, we must unite in order to confront the impending crisis.” Rom, the High Priest, nodded and said.

…

Listening to the conversation between the Clan Leader and the High Priest, Lagaray couldn’t help but think of Rein, far away in the Mingster Province of the Empire.

“That young boy with immense potential, I wonder how he’s doing now….”

“He should have been promoted from deputy to the Sheriff by now, right?”

“Although I luckily stepped into being a Fierce Warrior, given his Talent, he might already have reached the level of a Senior Knight in just half a year, I need to work harder!”

Lagaray mused.

For Rein, she naturally longed for him.

Initially, she had wanted to write to Rein, but not long after she returned to the tribe, the situation on the Frostwind Prairie became tumultuous.

And the matter of writing the letter was postponed.

During this time, she had undergone several incredibly dangerous battles and successfully broke limits.

But faced with the imminent crisis of the tribe, she no longer had the desire to write a letter, fearing that she might inadvertently reveal too much information in her words.

Lagaray didn’t want to involve Rein.

Because even a Great Knight would not be of much help given the harsh situation the tribe was facing.

…

About seven or eight miles behind the migrating barbarian tribe, on the northern foothills of the Hanshan Mountains.

Seven or eight Black Flame Monks, dressed in black robes with flame patterns on the cuffs and collars, were observing the migrating barbarian tribe from a high vantage point in the mountains.

“Chief Priest Kroli, when should we act? The knights and mercenaries we’ve gathered can’t really trouble the barbarians, they collapse at the slightest touch.”

“It’s fine, the role of the mercenaries is to harass, so that these barbarians won’t have sufficient rest, causing their combat strength to drop severely.”

“We’ll make our move when they’re utterly exhausted.”

“My lord, praise your wisdom.” The subordinates beside him breathed a sigh of relief, flattered that they didn’t have to engage the barbarians head-on for the time being.

Although these barbarians were mostly unable to wield witchcraft and relied solely on their Physical Strength in battle, each of them was fearless and fought in unison, making them quite formidable opponents.

Therefore, they were not really willing to engage in direct combat.

“By the way, is there any news from the white-furred bear monsters?” Kroli, the Chief Priest, asked, turning his head.

“We’ve contacted them; they will move south in the next two days to ambush this barbarian tribe ahead.”

“Good, once we’ve wiped out these two barbarian tribes, there will be no formidable adversaries left in the Frostwind Prairie to challenge us.”

“But, Chief Priest, if we rely solely on ourselves, won’t it be difficult to deal with the Clan Leader and High Priest of the barbarian tribe? Both of them are genuine Legendary Strongmen.”

“Don’t worry, in a few days, Great Priest Erikson will personally lead a team here, and he will take care of those two.”

“With Lord Erikson personally taking action, there shouldn’t be any problem.” The group of Black Flame Monks behind him all smiled and said.

—————–

Mingster.

Inside the Rein Mansion.

Rein and Anna waved goodbye to the crowd, then the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle flapped its wings mightily, as pale blue currents began to swirl around them.

“Whoosh!”

The two soared into the sky, quickly disappearing into the horizon.

As Rein looked down, the people below became smaller and smaller, turning into black dots, and soon the entire city of Mingster, built against the mountain, lay fully in view beneath them.

Since they were heading north.

Rein controlled the Blood Feather to avoid flying towards the plains, instead circling around the majestic Hosga Mountain Range.

Soon, an expanse of rolling hill terrain gradually appeared in front of Rein and Anna’s field of vision.

“What a beautiful scene!” Anna exclaimed, admiring the lush green forest stretching endlessly below, and large patches of wildflowers faintly visible.
