Chapter 955: Chapter 340: News from Frostwind Prairie (Two-in-One Chapter)

”Viscount, you are truly a rare tailoring genius, if you were to become a...” Yuliss exclaimed as she witnessed Rein’s rocket-like speed in learning and mastering skills.

But soon, Yuliss realized that the person before her was a noble, a Viscount, not an apprentice in her tailoring shop, and praising him as a tailoring genius was quite inappropriate.

So, Yuliss hastily changed her words:

”No, no, Viscount, what I mean is, no matter the skill, you learn it very quickly.”

Rein waved his hand indifferently.

”Yuliss, I have a question now, the underwear’s elasticity isn’t enough, how to solve this?”

”The waistband can be solved with materials like ox tendon, but as for the fabric... it seems there isn’t a fabric with good elasticity.”

”If it expands, it will tear apart.”

As soon as Rein finished speaking, the entire study fell silent!

Expand?

Tear apart?

Viscount, is it really appropriate to discuss this with me?

Moreover... isn’t this a bit too self-glorifying?

Never heard of anyone tearing their underwear apart...

Rein’s bold words made Yuliss, a woman with experience in that area, feel overwhelmed, her fair complexion immediately reddening.

Beside her, the elegant woman Jennifer was left puzzled, her beautiful eyes glancing back and forth between Yuliss and Rein.

Hmm?

Really, my dear’s words are too provocative?

The other person is about the same age as me, though her skin isn’t as good as mine, her face is quite dignified, not quite matching my style, could it be that my dear truly fancies her?

Wait a minute, perhaps it’s her professional attributes that pique my dear’s interest!

The elegant lady’s eyes immediately shone.

She believed she had figured out the crux of it.

After all, this kind of penchant is surprisingly common in upper-class society.

Even among wealthy merchants, one can often hear such gossip scandals.

For instance, a certain merchant loved to seek pleasure with maids, or specific nobles having an interest in female teachers, and last time she heard of a Viscount only 1.6 meters tall who preferred seeking women over 1.8 meters, etc.

Jennifer thought of many things all at once.

Seeing the expressions of the two mature women, Rein suddenly realized, perhaps his wording contained some ambiguity, but he couldn’t divulge his Dragon-man Transformation.

Thinking it over, Rein said: ”Ahem... here’s the thing, during battles, my muscles swell, so I need underwear with better elasticity.”

”I see.” Yuliss nodded, though internally not quite convinced.

After all, as a tailor master, not exactly from the lower strata, she never heard of Great Knights tearing open their underwear in battle.

”Uh... Viscount, how much would it expand? This concerns the material choice.” Yuliss took a deep breath before inquiring.

”At least to double, I’d say?” Rein thought for a moment before responding.

”Double? Well... from the perspective of elasticity, silk is among the best for fabrics.”

”But... relying solely on silk’s elasticity might still not meet your requirements.” Shocked, Yuliss pondered and said.

”Is there no solution? No other materials?”

”Uh... certain animal hides have decent elasticity, but for underwear, we still need to consider comfort.”

Animal hides?

Rein pondered, then dismissed the idea.

Too rough and uncomfortable.

Moreover, leather shorts might remind him of dancers, quite trendy...

”Right, if you don’t mind the design being unconventional, I have another suggestion, you could make the underwear with pleats to prevent tearing, like a pleated skirt.”

Seeing Rein’s furrowed brow, Yuliss offered an idea.

”Add pleats?” Rein soon grasped Yuliss’ idea.

The underwear’s waistband uses a material with elasticity like ox tendon, even silk fabric won’t meet the elasticity requirement, so we resort to adding pleats.

Once the body expands, the underwear can compensate for the lack of elasticity by smoothing the pleats.

Although ’pleated underwear’ seems a bit odd, it certainly beats exposure during transformation!

Moreover, it ensures comfort.

”Good idea, Yuliss.”

Rein’s eyes lit up, immediately turning to the elegant lady and saying: ”Jennifer, have someone prepare some ox tendon right away, I’d like to give it a try.”

”Ah? Oh, alright, Viscount.” Hearing Rein address her, Jennifer finally snapped back, nonetheless, she adhered to referring to Rein by his title in front of others.

...

Jennifer left the study to prepare ox tendons, but Rein didn’t idle, starting with the preliminary steps, drafting.

”Viscount, you’re... cutting a hole in the underwear, this is...”

Yuliss looked surprised, thinking, Viscount, you boast about that size, but isn’t it a bit extreme to cut a hole just to prevent tearing?

”Haha, this has a special use.”

This time Yuliss truly felt overwhelmed, especially since Jennifer had gone out to arrange for ox tendons.

Though she’s been through it, she couldn’t withstand such provocation!

The face of Yuliss, the tailor master, turned red completely.

Yet Yuliss observed the position of the hole Rein was cutting, thinking, I know it’s for a special use, but isn’t the diameter of this hole way too big?
