His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2314: Chapter 667: Mutual Destruction (44)_2

Feng Fanghua kept blaming him, but the man on the bed childishly buried his head in the blanket, not saying a word.

Mu Qingxin looked at her brother in that state, and despite what her mom said, she suddenly turned around with her bag and just walked outside.

”Where are you going?”

Feng Fanghua thought her daughter was angry and asked worriedly.

”I’m going to find that woman!”

Mu Qingxin had already walked far away, her voice drifting into the room.

”What did you say? Stop right there, Mu Qingxin...”

Feng Fanghua’s heart tightened when she heard this and quickly chased after her.

Downstairs, at the door, mother and daughter stood opposing each other. Mu Qingxin was unbearably upset, but Feng Fanghua blocked her: ”Are you crazy? Why are you calling her? Does our Mu Family need to plead with her?”

”So what if we plead with her? My brother likes her, I’m willing to plead with her.”

Mu Qingxin was about to cry, she said to her mom.

”You cannot go!”

Feng Fanghua sternly stopped her.

”Mom! Yesterday you called Chen Xiaoyi to see my brother, and bought a Weibo topic. Qin Mu must know about it. She’ll definitely be angry, disappointed, and will distance herself further from him. Mom, this is not right, I need to go explain to her.”

”Explain?”

”Yes! I need to explain to her!”

”If you explain, then hasn’t all my efforts been in vain?”

Feng Fanghua retorted.

Mu Qingxin looked incredulously at her mother, then pushed away Feng Fanghua’s hand holding hers: ”I must go!”

Mu Qingxin had tears streaming down as she walked outside. She knew it was a critical moment for her brother and Qin Mu. If she didn’t go explain, Qin Mu would inevitably misunderstand. She couldn’t bear to think further, only remembering how her brother protected her all those years when she was away and how he later protected her and Jiang Yan. As siblings, Mu Yichen had been a loving and righteous brother. As his sister, she couldn’t do nothing for him.

It’s time, it’s time for her to do something for her brother as his sister.

Feng Fanghua couldn’t stop Mu Qingxin, glanced back at the stairs, and then frustratedly shut the door and left as well.

Qin Mu was helping sell clothes in the store when Mu Qingxin almost burst in, full of momentum.

The shop assistants all knew Mu Qingxin, but her expression today scared them into delaying their greetings.

”Where is Qin Mu?”

Mu Qingxin knew Qin Mu had been spending time in the store lately, so she asked directly where she was.

”At the dress counter over there.”

The shop assistant said in a low voice, giving her a slight, fearful look.

Mu Qingxin then strode over, and the two shop assistants watched from the side, whispering a few words in curiosity.

”Qin Mu”

Qin Mu was just helping a customer with a new outfit when she heard a familiar voice, turning to look at the door, she saw Mu Qingxin’s cold and stubborn face.

”Mu Qingxin, what’s up?”

Qin Mu softly asked her, walking up and signaling with her eyes not to say anything they shouldn’t here.

Mu Qingxin’s lips twitched, then she pulled her and walked outside.

Everyone just watched, puzzled and curious, but no one dared to speak.

Once outside, Mu Qingxin said to her: ”My brother is going to die!”

Qin Mu...

”He’s in the apartment now, not eating or drinking. This man, if you want, go and see him. If you don’t, then let him be, fend for himself!”

Mu Qingxin said, tears streaming down.

Qin Mu’s brows furrowed; in her life, it was the first time seeing Mu Qingxin so upset for Mu Yichen.

And Mu Yichen’s condition...

Qin Mu’s heart wasn’t unconcerned, but she reasoned that a fever couldn’t kill him.

”His life or death has nothing to do with me anymore. We’re about to divorce!”

Qin Mu softly told her, the outside wind was a bit cold, chilling her through her thick V-neck goose-yellow sweater.

”Are you truly so heartless? Even with divorce, he has taken care of you for years. As...as family or friends, you don’t have to be this cruel, right? Since yesterday night he hasn’t eaten, his complexion isn’t good either. Even with divorce, Qin Mu, do you have to be so unkind?”

Mu Qingxin questioned her emphatically.

Qin Mu said nothing, lowering her eyes, raising her arms to hug her torso, the wind made her shiver.

”The reason Chen Xiaoyi went to your apartment yesterday was because you called me and my mom overheard. You know my mom’s thoughts, it wasn’t my brother who invited her.”

Mu Qingxin said as tears fell more urgently, Qin Mu looked at her and reached into her pants pocket to get a pack of tissues, pulling out one to wipe her face: ”Don’t cry!”
